   food was really delicious. cooks have it nailed on flavors and portions. Prices for each are a little on the higher end but not extremely unreasonable. our waiter was a bit aloof. no real energy or dinner coordination. the appetizer and dinner came out within 2 minutes of each other as we got our drinks. then we sat for 30 minutes before we heard from him again. I would surely give this place a 2nd try. The chai martinis were an amazing surprise.

   We had the deconstructed elote for appetizer which was excellent, highly recommend the dish. I would also highly recommend the chili relleno, very crisp coating. The cucumber margarita was excellent. Very attentive service. However the noise level was very high, almost to the point that conversation was not possible. Would definitely recommend the food and service!

   Jody, Ciara, and Gannon were wonderful. The food was delicious, service very attentive, and we were able to interact with other guests which was fun. Very good Margaritas and an extensive Mezcal Selection. I would highly recommend a Mezcal or Tequila Flight they are very enjoyable and unique.

   Not a Tex-Mex joint. Small-ish Southwestern menu, but excellent quality for every item (go online to see menu). Massive Mescal and Tequila assortment available, with a number of signature cocktails - don't miss the Chai Martini or the smokey Old Fashioned. Great sidewalk "cabanas" for warmer weather al fresco dining.

   We took our lovely neighbors out for dinner and we had so much fun! The food and drinks were outstanding! The lovely owner came to our table and gave us some very informative info on mezcal! Our server was so kind and our neighbors were very impressed!

    Gannon was a wonderful server… ambiance is top notch… drinks were great… food was good but definitely a bit pricey… service got a bit slow towards the end of our meal but we’d definitely go back and recommend it to others

    The spicy cucumber margs were excellent. The tacos were very good. However, we were seated at a dirty table. That should be the first thing checked before seating a customer. Hence the ambience rating. Still, very good food and drinks.

    Our server Gannon was great. The food tasted like Mexican food cooked by a white person. It did not have any flavor. The crowd was super loud, probably because they had already started pregaming for the wine fest. That made it less pleasant.

    Fidel's was delicious! It was recommended by several people we met throughout the day on our fist day in Palisade. The margaritas were wonderful and so were the protein bowls! It was the perfect amount of food. The food and cocktails are moderately priced like most places these days. Overall, great atmosphere, friendly servers, lovely experience!

    Amazing restaurant. They accommodated our large group with ease, everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the fish tacos and elk chorizo tacos. Or pretty much anything on the menu, as everyone in our group was impressed with their dishes. Will definitely be back again!

    Very creative, flavorful and well-plated dishes that definitely aren't your usual Mexican. Or, more accurately, what passes for such in the US. Value-for-money is very good and the adult beverages are a big plus.

    This is not a comfort food nor a comfort restaurant. I will say the food is creative and tasty. But it is super loud, super noisy, you cannot have a conversation, the chairs are uncomfortable, the menu is confusing, and the drinks are sugary and subpar. I have to note especially the fact that on their cocktail menu, they do not describe the drink. They merely state a cliché name. Such as naked and proud or ranch water. How does one know what these are?

    As a native Texan, I pride myself on knowing good tacos…and these are damn good! Unique combos and flavors but it all works so well together. Will be very honest too. We tried a little bit of everything - ceviche (OK but a little too tomato-y but loved the plantains), the poblano fries (amazing and addictive), the elote (needed a little something but good), cauliflower taco (a little too acidic), fish taco (delish and fresh) and the elk chorizo (best taco ever). Service was attentive but not hovering and the bartender was so informative about the tequilas. Liked Fidel’s so much we came back for elk tacos for the ride home. Wish we could’ve taken a margarita to go too. We’ll be back every time we come to Palisade - it’s a must!

    After our first visit, Fidel's is our new "go-to" for Southwestern/Mexican. Not your ordinary TexMex by any stretch. Great food, great service, unique and slightly upscale menu (and worth it), friendly engaging staff, plus a vast assortment of tequilas and mezcals with a list of accompanying cocktails to get the party started. Eager to return with friends and family. (Note: the deconstructed elote appetizer served with homemade chips dusted with tajin is a winner!)

    Overall the experience was great. We had a great server who was attentive. The food was delicious. The Elote and the tacos were spot on. We had house margaritas and the pinky which were both tasty. Finished off with sopapillas that were light and a good end note. The only downside is inside is pretty loud and hard to have a conversation around. Cost is more expensive however given the area and ingredients, I was not shocked and knew that going in. Again, overall the food was great, drinks were tasty, and I'd come back ahead (but probably want to sit outside!) What a wonderful addition to Palisade!

    Excellent first visit to Fidel's, our server was very knowledgeable and made the perfect recommendations. Food was fresh, staff was friendly and competent, noisy though due to type of building. Didn't really detract. Can't wait to go back!

    We have visited Fidel's for lunch, dinner and tween and thoroughly enjoyed our experience seated at the bar or at a cozy table by ourselves. All the dishes were presented nicely and we found them to be fresh and tasty (elote, tacos and dessert) We've sampled a number of the cocktails as well and they accompanied the meals just right. So happy to have you in the Grand Valley!
