Fern is more than just a restaurant, it is a farm to table standard in a eclectic setting.

Fern highlights american akaushi wagyu beef and Berkshire pork from our privately owned and operated start to finish ranch located in Okeechobee, FL. Join us for a true ranch-to-table experience where we can offer our customers humanely raise beef that have been responsibly cared for by our ranch team. All of our steaks are cooked in a wood fire oven reaching 900 degrees for the perfect sear and flavor.

Our open kitchen showcases our dedicated culinary team as our forever changing menu is updated regularly with responsibly farmed ingredients from small family operations.

Guests can dine indoors within the modern art gallery, or outdoors in the expansive open-air ‘mural garden’ surrounded by oversized murals drawn by local artists and twinkle lights. Weekends feature live entertainment.

Absolutely phenomenal dishes, squash blossoms, strawberry grouper, and keylime were all notable experiences. Mocktails were also wonderful, especially the Candy Cowboy! Yum!

First time I went there service and food were exceptional. This time just a couple weeks later it was meh! They also need to improve their ventilation is the entire seating area is filled with smoke most of the night. In addition we were sitting right by manager and they sent us out bread but only gave us three pieces and saw four big guys ordering a ton of food. It’s just the small things that go a long way!

I’m sad to leave this review because the food was genuinely good—but the service was so poor it completely ruined the experience, especially since we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. I called ahead to book a party of 10. The person I spoke with was accommodating and told us they could seat us later in the evening, around 8:45 or 9 p.m., which we were fine with. We were seated quickly upon arrival, but from there, everything went downhill. When we tried to order drinks and appetizers together, our server insisted on putting in the drinks first. We agreed, but then waited 20 minutes with no drinks. I eventually had to go up to the bar to ask, and it seemed like our server had forgotten to put the order in. A single beer arrived, followed by the rest of the drinks 5–10 minutes later. Mind you, no one ordered anything complicated—just wine, soda, and a mocktail. By then, we’d already ordered appetizers. We saw another server bringing them to our table, only to turn around and head back to the kitchen. It seemed they were told not to bring them since we didn’t have drinks yet. When the appetizers finally arrived, we placed our entrée orders. They took long as well, and a few were incorrect. One steak was severely overcooked. When we asked to send it back, the server returned saying they had run out of that steak. Meanwhile, an empty table directly behind us our server used to pile dirty dishes, which sat there all night. Several people in our party work in the service industry and were shocked by how bad the service was. Maybe it was because gratuity was already included—but it truly felt like no one cared. No manager ever checked in or acknowledged the issues. It’s a shame because the food that did come out properly was great, but the overall experience left us feeling disappointed and frustrated. We wanted to love this place, but it sadly missed the mark.

Taste was amazing, service impeccable, and owner was there and incredibly gracious and knowledgeable. You can’t miss this place when in WPB.

Amazing food! Loved the menu and Wednesdays are 50% bottles of wine 👍🏻. Very loud due to high ceilings, but worth the visit. Will return!

Decided to try on the recommendations of a recent diner. Overall service was okay not great. Wait time for appetizers was too long. Appetizers (burrata and burnt brisket were great however entrees a bit disappointing . Top sirloin was cooked perfectly but the chimichurri sauce was too overwhelming to taste the flavor of the steak . Red snapper was barely warm and overly salted. The couscous didn’t really have any great flavors and was cold in places. Too pricey to not have great food and great service .

Everything we had was delicious! The pork chop with asparagus was fantastic! The Vienna’s Flask cocktail was so fresh and unique. The flavors blended so nicely. The NY strip was quite flavorful and tender! Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely plan to revisit when we are in West Palm again!
