Had an amazing experience. Cocktails were well balanced , and the food was spectacular.
Awesome I loved the ambiance food and drinks
Beautiful & fun!
I had a wonderful time meeting a girlfriend for dinner and drinks at Felix Culpa in Dallas. Our waitress, Sonja, and waiter, Alex, was very attentive and helpful in recommending items from the menu. We had a 6:45 pm dinner reservation and by 9:30/10:00 pm the restaurant was slowly turning into a night club. It is definitely a trendy place for those looking to be a part of the Dallas nightlife.
We ordered the baked brie with green apple slices and crostini bread. It was okay. The crostini bread was difficult to eat as it was really hard. For my entree, I ordered the spinach homemade ravioli and it was delicious. My friend had the pappardelle ragu' alla bolognese. It was a large plate. I tried some of her dish and although it was good it was really salty. Their Romeo & Juliet cocktail went down a little too easily.
Overall, we had a great time.
Over priced, ok food. Was better as victor tangos
Bland food, average service, decent drinks.
Great atmosphere, fun place
Overpriced for the quality of food. Interior design is about all it has going for it along with a few nice staff. Otherwise, staff was mostly stand-offish/had a bizarre aura to them.
They lost my first reservation for 12 people - as I received an automated email from the restaurant saying the reservation had been cancelled. When I called they claimed the hostess called and that I said I would be out of town. I laughed and said it was bizarre considering I never received a phone call. The woman on the phone was super helpful in reconfirming my reservation.
HOWEVER, For making a reservation one month in advance I’d presume we’d be sitting at one of the long velvet wall booths - not a makeshift pop up table in the center of the room...
Service was awful. We had to order a drink 3 times. Food was tasteless, I asked for salt and They never gave it to me.
Really bad experience.
Great place with fun ambiance
Thank you for coming into Felix Culpa. We are happy to hear you had a great experience.
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful... when she came around. We were not checked on frequently enough and took FOREVER to get our check even though the restaurant was nearly empty. I have eaten at Felix Culpa previously and the food was delicious, this time however the general consensus was that most of our plates were under seasoned and portions were much smaller than they had been on previous visit. Great ambiance and love the decor, but service could definitely be stepped up.
Great! We went for my birthday and they dealt with our behavior all night 🙄😂. Sweet servers. Even one of the owners (I think) came over to say hi, and she was so nice! Cute place for a celebration.
Great food and great atmosphere. Menu is perfect for sharing.
I loved the ambiance and the decor!! Our waitress was awesome!! My boyfriends food was a tad bland but mine was fantastic!! I had the mussels (special that wasn’t on the menu) shishito pepper trio, and we tried the veal meatballs. We will definitely be back!
Overall, an okay experience. We had to waive staff to ask for things, the pasta was hard so we returned it. They did take it off and bring a better plate but it’s not necessary to give things out for free every time they make a mistake, second time someone at my table gets something free. We couldn’t eat together because we waited for the other pasta to come out. It’s pricey for what they serve and for the service but I love the ambience of this bar.
Came here for my birthday and was surprised to find it was more like a club. The food was good, and the waitress was wonderful! Though, I was a little disappointed that they basically put up a make shift table at the bar area for us.... even though I made a reservations ahead of time. We were stuck right in front of the DJ for the last hour of our dinner. If you’re wanting more of a loud, fun time this is the place! For a classy dinner, I’d pick somewhere else!
I will say this is the perfect place for a bachelorette party.
I love the young and fun feel of this place! We went for a friends birthday, and I was very impressed! I definitely will come back and bring others with me. The steak was amazing and calamari was to die for. The drinks were on point and made just right. Our waiter was so much fun and provided excellent customer service. Bravo!
Kind of a bust. My friends and I visited on a Saturday night and started with the crab cakes (great),risotto balls (solid), and the pot stickers (tasteless). We started with the Romeo and Juliet cocktail—they have an interesting, fruity selection—and switched to wine because the grapefruit in the drink overpowered the taste. Felix Culpa does have a good selection of under-$50 reds. But the wine glasses were cheap and dirty. Fingerprints all over, and it impacted the taste of the wine.
One friend ordered the halibut; it was over-cooked and flavorless. Another friend and I ordered a fettuccine dish. It was passable but bland. My other friend tried to order one pasta dish, but our waiter told us that it was terrible and that she should get something else. We were confounded by the dish she received instead. It was the same fettuccine that we had ordered—but plain? Literally just pasta and Alfredo sauce. Not sure what happened there.
Our waiter said the chef was new. He had been at Felix Culpa for two weeks from Bouchon Bistro in California, if I heard correctly, and the waiter said that he seemed overwhelmed, that this was a faster-paced environment.
Which brings me to the service: not great. Our waiter seemed... distracted. At one point, we thought we saw him take a quick Juul puff near the kitchen. We ordered a side of mac and cheese, and it never came. But we were mostly through with our meal before we could ask about it because, after another server set down the entrees, he disappeared for 10 minutes. When we did ask whether it was coming, he said “YA” and hurried to the wait stand. I watched him enter in the mac order, then and there. Afterward, he came back to say that they would comp the mac because the kitchen was slow. He threw them under the bus!! Then, he said they couldn’t comp it, so he gave us a free wine bottle. That is why this place got two stars, although at that point, some of my friends just wanted to bail.
Marilyn Monroe sparklers are $20.
The place is beautiful and everyone there is very friendly and professional. The food is really good! I would suggest shareable plates!! Their cocktails are excellent - pricey but they don’t disappoint. Ambience is very chic - perfect place to start Girls night out!! My only criticisms would be that we got a tall skinny table with high uncomfortable chairs near the restrooms. For a party of five it was awkward and cramped. Also, our dinners came at different times, and one guest waited quite a while for his plate. But the Marilyn Monroe Birthday dessert tray was really cool!!
Very fun spot for girls night. I love the food, and highly recommend.
Service was a bit slower because of the crowd on Saturday but our server was amazing! Food was great and the music was lit !
Cool and vibrant atmosphere. Drinks and dinner were amazing. Can’t say enough about the service-excellent!!!
We had a great time. We got 4 appetizers and the sliders and fritters were standouts. The lamb dish was amazing and the Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve had in a long time. My fettuccine pasta was freshly made and it was delicious. The cocktails were on point. Service was attentive but not annoying. Desserts was good. The chocolate cake was not too sweet and the blueberry cheesecake was pretty and a nice ending to the night. The owner came by and was very friendly.
This has got to be one of the prettiest restaurants I’ve ever been in. Great food and amazing weekly specials. Can’t wait to come back.
It was my best friends birthday that I got the reservation to your restaurant. Although when I made a reservation I mentioned it’s going to be a surprise birthday, but as we entered the lady in the front asked us do you have any reservation and what’s the name on it. So unfortunately right away he knew the whole plan of us being there. Then, I mentioned to our waiter that everyone is paying their tab except me and I specifically mentioned to put the birthday boy’s tab on me and I mentioned twice and each time he said ok. Then I figured regardless of me asking it, he let the birthday boy to pay for the whole table which I got really upset and disappointed. I asked the birthday boy to please ask him to cancel the transaction. He did but it took such a long time to process every person’s share..
Overall great experience!
Great deal for Happy Hour drinks and eats. Like most places today though, the music was turned up so high it made conversation with my friends too challenging. Why do restaurants do that?
Beautiful atmosphere. Seated immediately. Great DJ. WONDERFUL STEAK! Attentive and polite staff.
Will certainly be back based on quality of food, price and ambiance!
Absolutely horrible service! 45 minutes later and 4 wait staff and/or bartenders who came by, we finally got water poured. Then it was another 20 minuets before we even got our drinks. We sat down right at 8pm for our reservation, about 20 mins in we realized we still didn't have water, so we asked a waiter/bartender or whoever was walking by to the there tables nearby to tell him that no one had come by yet, he apologized, then a few mins later one girl came by to say she was going to bring us water, then she disappeared and another girl came by with napkins for the table and also asking our drink order. Then, she disappeared and a lady with longer blonde hair came by, perhaps a manager, asking us if somebody had come by. We said yes, two different girls. One of them was finally declared our waiter and then it took her 20 more minutes to bring our drinks, even though she kept telling us, "oh they're almost ready at the bar." Then the blonde lady came by again to ask if we had gotten our drinks, and we said we had not. Food arrived cold. Waitress didn't split the appetizer amongst the 4 of us like we asked. We watched the surrounding tables directly next to us come and go and get their food in a timely manner. I paid cash and barely left a $3 tip, which I think was $3 too much. DO NOT GO HERE for dinner. for a drink, sure. but not for dinner.
This was our first time here. We were very pleasantly surprised! The interior is beautiful and, most importantly, we could talk to each other without shouting. They have half price appetizers until 7 pm, even on Friday, which is a great deal. The charcuterie board is huge and delicious! The service is very attentive, and the manager, Massimo, was delightful. We will be back!
Thank you Felix Culpa staff for such a great night! You all went above and beyond to make sure our sweet friend had the best birthday dinner celebration and she DID!!
We loved every person that came to our table to help. Especially Sally! Outstanding service & food quality.
We are definitely excited to tell everyone about your restaurant and come back.
Lively bar, great menu - absolutely excellent service. This was my second time there and my waitress remembered me and we were treated like royalty. The Hostess came by twice to check on our satisfaction - very well done all around - and great for people watching
This is a great place to have drinks/dinner. Beautiful decor and delicious food! We split a few apps and i was surprised at how large the portions were. We had enough food for 6 people! My favorites were the shishito peppers and watermelon margarita.
Excellent service, excellent food, great atmosphere - can't wait to go back...
It was great for a birthday dinner or otherwise! Looking forward to coming back very soon.
Great food, great service.
My experience at Felix Culpa was really good. It was my first time and I chose this place based on other reviews. It was a great choice. The food was good. The service was great and the ambiance was perfect for a birthday celebration.
Great ambiance and cocktails, but food less that mediocre. Definitely a place
For cocktails and appetizers.
