I had read about Feast prior to traveling to San Antonio and it lived up to the reviews. The menu is limited but the food was fabulous and the service was very good. I would say my only complaint was that the music was very loud. There is little to absorb the sound and the music seemed to echo of the walls making it difficult to even appreciate the music or carry on a conversation. Has both indoor and outdoor seating so you may want to opt for outdoor for a quieter atmosphere.
This place is almost perfect. It is very loud. VERY LOUD
We used to love this place! The food was still good but service was a bit sloppy...coffee cup had stains from careless coffee pour, low quality tap water, and bug in one of the cups. Really hope they improve service like how it was 2-3 years ago.
We use to love coming to Feast for our date nights!
Food was great and perfect!
But They came out with a new menu..
Lesser options, higher prices.
The old menu was perfect and prices were just right!
Not to mention, they charge more now for their drinks.
Feast, please go back to the old menu👍🏻
Until then, I don’t think we will be going back anytime soon!
📍Max was amazing and super attentive 📍
Time Out has really missed on this one. It was ranked No 1 but the food is below average.
Savannah & Gilbert were amazing!!!
Savannah, new GM, welcomed us at the hostess stand & is so friendly & humble!
Gilbert is by far the best server that I have ever had at Feast! I invited some guest for the 1st time & he was able to fulfill her unique food request. He also refers to guest as “my loves” which we thought was absolutely adorable!!! Food & ambiance were outstanding! The Pride party decor made us feel like we were NYC for World Pride! Love you all & Stay Blessed!
Lost my reservation. They had many empty tables and still took a while to seat us. When they did, they still didn't have the right number of water glasses and menus. The place was obnoxiously loud - such that the server couldn't hear to take an order. The food wasn't bad, but the french toast was doughy.
I returned to Feast yesterday for the first time in a long time. They have made many great changes. The staff was incredible, kind, and diligent. The food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was energetic and the music was awesome!
We had a reservation but had to wait for a table. Food was great but we saw it go by us and return later...not sure where they thought we were. We were set up a table in the back and it was very quiet but also warm. Staff was nice and friendly but seemed a bit disorganized - ex: our brunch champagne bottle was discarded so they had to open another one. I will definitely try brunch again for the delicious food!
A nice casual restaurant whose strength is in their small plates. The corn croquettes are exceptional as are the meatballs. Would also recommend the carrots as well as the broccoli.
Stay away from the burger. The entrees are OK but that is not why you are there.
Great tasting food. Came on Father’s Day, service was slow, but friendly. Very noisy inside, (music blaring loud), but they did turn it down twice for me. (It kept creeping up).
What has all the hype been about on this restaurant???
I just dont get it.
Food was okay.
Service mediocre- waiter was not familiar with menu or food. Asked basic questions and he couldn’t answer.
At the end of meal Our plates sat there... and sat there... never picked up.
Will not be going back to this over rates establishment.
I was very excited to have dinner at Feast, and very disappointed at the turn out. I ordered the rainbow trout, the fish was edible but the healing pile of “cut” vegetables on top was overwhelming. Some pieces were small, some far too big, they were raw and didn’t compliment the fish at all.
My boyfriend ordered the flank steak, which was covered in enough salt to make it almost unbearable to eat. I had a bite of his and could feel the large amount of salt grains on the meat.
The restaurant was not honestly displayed online and I was a little surprised when we arrived. I didn’t expect plastic chairs and a dead silent room where everyone can hear your conversation.
Our server was friendly and we enjoyed her, however even she wasn’t enough to convince me to go back.
Made the only Open Table reservation available at 5pm and arrived at an empty restaurant. Cute place with modern clear acrylic chairs, very white interior, and a nice patio if it weren’t 100 degrees! Very blah hostess seated us at the table right next to the bar but it was wobbly so we moved closer to the front room. Waitress was nice but not very good at describing the menu for first timers. “It’s kind of like Tapas size but not”. Ordered the corn croquettes-the best thing we had. Served in a pyramid with a jalapeño cream sauce-they were very good! Also ordered the carrots-decent flavor. The flank steak and chicken skewers were good but not too impressive. Playlist was good-80’s and early 90’s tunes.
My girlfriend and I have been going to feast for our anniversary every year for years now. We loved it. Our latest experience there was nothing less than shocking. The menu has changed. Feast is no longer a tapas bar. This change was a huge mistake. Now, this restaurant's menu is just like others. The food we did order was too salty and not impressive. I honestly could do better myself. Millennial waitstaff chatting each other up, staring at their phones, dropping what must have been 6 different plates/glasses and presenting the restaurant like some dumb bar. Restrooms were dirty -this says a lot.
In years past, this restaurant would be packed at 9pm. We've had to wait for tables and didn't care because the food and experience was so good. This time, there were hardly any people eating there on a Friday night when the first Friday artwalk was going on! Unbelieveable to us but with the menu change and the millennial slackers running the place it isn't really surprising that nobody goes there.
My girlfriend and I were devastated to see what has become of our beloved Feast.
Drinks, starters, entrees for 4 on a first Friday at 7:30pm. Not terribly crowded.
Out of beer selections. Warm glasses.
Long wait for entres- possibly forgot us.
Not going back.
Feast has gone far downhill. The food was not great and the place was completely empty. Very disappointed in the quality and the smaller menu.
The Location is great, the mood is awesome, and the food is amazing, as while all these things make a great restaurant there is one thing that can ruin the entire thing and that is the service.
The servers were all very inattentive, they were rude, stuck up, and extremely slow. The first thing that annoyed me was me having to wait 35 min for a table even though I had made reservations so that I didn’t have to wait those 35 minutes, our server only took our order and we never saw him again, we literally had to go pay inside because we had been waiting over 20 minutes after we finished our meal, he never filled up our water and it seems like everyone had all the same issues with all the servers. the Hostess was the opposite, she was very nice, respectful and very polite. Also saw a server wearing overalls with no undershirt, that’s disgusting I don’t need arm pit hairs or sweat in my food.
Feast is one of my top three restaurants in San Antonio. The service is always courteous and professional, and that isn't something I encounter a lot here in SA. The food at Feast is absolutely spectacular. Their menu changes according to the season, and there are a few things that are always on the menu. I have had seasonal offerings and the menu staples, all have been spectacular. My favorite right now is their chilled beet soup, with golden beets and dill. So refreshing! The other item to definitely try is the lamb chops. Best ever...yep, I said it!
I heartily recommend Feast for dates, business meetings, girls night out...but not for families with small children.
Used to love this place but it’s gone downhill. The menu changed and most of our favorites are gone. The food during this visit was lackluster. Service was ok. We sat outside and were pestered by flies so the waitress set bug spray on the table. We probably won’t be back.
Used to be a great neighborhood place w a cool vibe and good eats. The ambiance is fine still, the crowd waning and it must be due to the food. Ordered the “WT”: biscuits were burnt on the bottom and hard as rocks. The over easy egg only had one side hit the frying pan. Unfortunately it was served with that side down which resulted in a mouthful of something similar to a cold symptom. Not pleasant. So sad.
The food was good, but the service was terrible. We could not get information on specials but clearly some servers knew the info and others didn't. Our server said it was her first brunch when asked if the orange juice was freshly squeezed or if there was decaf coffee.
Luckily I ordered the donuts which were delicious but that was because I over heard another server.
I blame management for this, they should staff better.
Always been a favorite place but they changed the menu and took away the tapas. Half of the food was good but the other half wasn’t. They played only Journey songs for about an hour until we asked if they had a thing else. No complaints about our service, our server was attentive and did a good job.
Amazing and great food.
Brunch is always a hit for everyone at Feast. Service, not so great. Drinks were “meh”.
I reserved on OpenTable and called ahead to be sat in the sun room by the bar, when I got there my friends were in the darkest corner of the restaurant, I spoke to the hostess female and asked about the various open tables in the sun room by the bar or anywhere else with natural light for that matter, she lied in my face and said all the tables were booked. We did move to a brighter table but EVERY single table I had asked for (and called ahead for) was never seated. We were there until brunch was over and the tables stayed available.
The place is nicely decorated but the food was lacking. They were out of dishes from the menu and the place just opened at 5pm. Our reservation was at 7:45pm. And my entree was too salty.
Great food. Not our first time at Feast. Still great food, great prices.
Excellent food at very good price! We will definitely eat here again and recommend to friends.
We were greeted and sat at our table and after that we were not attended. We were provided zero service after we sat at our table.
yall should get new management, employees tried their best.
Service was very slow. I ordered a burger with no cheese and it came with no cheese and no bacon. I pointed out the lack of bacon to the waitress and she said they ran out. Meanwhile, a table next to us got three sides of bacon after we were told the restaurant was out of bacon. Many flies all over the restaurant. Terrible experience.
The menu wasn’t honored. We received fingerling potatoes instead of fries, no onion on burger, hair on one plate in potatoes, the lettuce looked like it was picked out of a salad. We were told no omelets and no donuts available today, on Mother’s Day. When we asked about fries and onions, we were told they were out. Also told they don’t have mayonnaise and mustard. A very strange experience today. Lots of available tables but they were turning people away.
Out of everything on the menu and didn’t inform us till after we ordered. No silverware. Gave a Togo-container and failed to tell me they didn’t have any matching sets of them till after they watch me mess with it and I asked...very disappointed from a Bowers restaurant
First, we had to wait quite a while for our table, though at least half the tables were empty. Then, we had to wait for water and then our waitress. Waitress took food and drink orders at same time. The food arrived immediately after the drink, quickly. Waitress quickly put down the food and left. I had ordered blue berry pancakes, the only pancakes on the menu. I didn't see any blue berries. The pancakes were enormous, but tough--I needed a knife, which I didn't have. I noticed the table next to me had pancakes with actual blueberries on them, a normal size and nicely garnished. We asked several waitstaff to send our waitress. Told I a saw no blueberries, just one strawberry in the pancake. I told her that if there were no blueberries, she should have informed me. She disappeared and came back with a small bowl of blueberries she said she found at the bar. I told her the pancakes were runny in the middle, so she asked if I'd like something else. I told her I'd have the French toast. Only French toast on menu was strawberry pistachio. I think I even pointed to the menu item. They came with no strawberries or pistachios. Then I saw someone else with French toast loaded with strawberries and pistachios.
The outdoor patio is charming and I could hear what the conversation was at the table easily. It was Mother’s day and they were short staff. The food took quite a while to come but we were informed that there was going to be a delay. Coffee was served cold. When we asked for hot coffee it came back the second time still cold. The food was well prepared and everyone enjoyed their selection. Despite some minor issues I think this place is worth paying a visit!
Went to Sunday brunch on Mothers Day. Not as busy as I had expected; only about half full. Wait staff was very friendly, but it took about 45 minutes to get our food, even though it wasn't very busy. The waiter said they were understaffed, and brought us a free app to hold us over. Inside seating was noisy. Food was good, not great. I ordered steak and eggs. The steak was well seasoned, which was odd because the eggs lacked any seasoning at all. The steak also had gristle, making it very difficult to cut, which was ashamed since the flavor was good. The breakfast potatoes were bland. Food wasn't to my kids' liking. If I came back, it would definitely be without the kids.
My family and I went to Feast for Mother’s Day. It was supposed to be a relaxed and special brunch that I had planned well in advance. We had a nice table outside and then it went down from there. Our server took 12 minutes to come by and take our drink order. Once we finally got the Mimosa’s, they were wrong. But we kept them because the frost ones took so long. It wasn’t even that crowded and this is NOT a new restaurant. So, no excuses in my book. We waited ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES for 2 burgers and an egg sandwich!!! I asked for a Manager and was told there was not one available. The table in front of us waited forever also. The table behind us sent their food back twice. My husbands burger had cheese on it. He asked for no cheese twice. My sandwich was cold. The potatoes- mushy. Wow! What a disappointment my Mothers Day brunch turned out to be. Barely an apology from the staff. Everyone seemed lost. Wow. Major bummer for such a lovely place.
very disappointed. Considering mother’s day is a big holiday, I’m shocked that they were so unprepared . Late , cold and missing food , loud music, poor service . Would not recommend
We loved coming here for the past couple years for Sunday brunch so we were extremely disappointed when we went for Mother's day and the service was terrible, hostess rude, and food was NOT what it used to be. Only saving grace was our drinks. Please fix yourself Feast!
Seated quickly and water brought out. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged we were there. Five or six employees walked by us several time each. We left and was told to have a good night on our way out
