So glad we ate here! My family loves dumplings and bao and Asian buns. The vegan dumplings were really good as the vegetables tasted so fresh. We ate pork and brisket buns and dumplings too. Loved them all. And the cucumber salad was delicious too! Beautiful décor and ambiance was wonderful. We live n MN but will be recommending this restaurant to friends!! Mmm!

We lived in Madison for 3-years before relocating to the southwest. Came back for a visit and the first restaurant we said we had to visit was Feast. Incredible buns and dumplings. We haven’t been able to find another place like it. You must try the Phoenix Buns for dessert!

Everything we had tasted amazing! All the dumplings were delicious, the Bao buns were some of the best ever ever had and get the phoenix buns for dessert! You will not be disappointed!

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. It was not very busy so it was quiet, which we appreciated. The decor is very cute and I think in the evening when it’s dark out it would look even better. Our food was fantastic - we had the brisket bao and the pork/shrimp/chive dumplings. Prices were very reasonable. The sinks in the washrooms were like nothing I’ve seen before. Would definitely recommend!

Food is incredible, tho service was slow - we had to flag down a server to get attention. Go for the food, esp the beef and cilantro (fried), pork belly bun and scallion pancake.

Our food and drinks were so lovely! Our waiter was wonderful! My only complaint was the tuna bao was dry and I wish the seafood options didn't all have pork so I could have enjoyed them (I am a pescatarian)but everything else we ordered was very good.

I rarely write reviews but the food here was so outstanding that I wanted to share my experience. Our family of five can’t wait to go back. The only reason I gave the service four stars is because it was very slow, likely due to a staff shortage which is par for the course these days. The servers were attentive and did their best, but it was a long meal. We had the time and were so enjoying the food and each other’s company that we were very happy with our meal.

The food was amazing! The music was authentic but wasn’t really doing anything for the ambiance which is a bummer because the inside was really beautiful. Initial service was a bit slow and transactional, which is fair but it really lacked any sort of pleasantries you might expect so for a date night was sort of uncomfortable. The food came out quickly though which we appreciated. Overall we agreed it was sort of a weird experience with good food. The pork buns were absolutely amazing and we will be back for them - probably just for pick up though.

Feast was a very good dining experience. The food was the highlight, very good quality and incredible depth of flavor. The only negative was the price was high on some items. Being a tea drinker and Asia traveler i know what good tea costs and how plentiful it is. Tea at $13 for small amount is about $5 too much. The tea was good and this is meant to be a constructive tweak. We would dine at at Feast again and definitely recommend it to our friends. very authentic

Dining at Feast was a delight. Every appetizer and dumpling order was full of flavor and the exact right temperature to eat as it got to the table (a challenging feat for steamed or deep fried food). The dumpling selection had everything from scallops to shrimp to pork to beef and we loved all of them. The menu included a thorough, but clearly well curated tea list (we went with one of the white teas as we wanted a very light amount of caffeine at dinner time). Due to being in the middle of a long drive, we passed on the alcohol list, but it too looked very well thought out. Everyone working here was very friendly, including the hostess who played Koto for ambience when not greeting guests. Very beautiful music and a nice touch in such a welcoming restaurant. We will gladly be back in the future on our next trip to Madison.

I’m really happy to see the high rating for this place because it really deserves it. I hope more people try it out so it sticks around a while because I want to go back many more times. The menu is simple and straightforward but offers items for your gluten free or vegan friends. I ordered the spicy garlic edamame and shrimp shumai. I was telling my friend it reminded me of some of the best food I’ve eaten in New York City. We were sat right away, service was attentive and friendly, prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was comfortable. My friend and I already made a plan to go back!

The shrimp shumai is incredible! Best thing we ate there. The menu has something for everyone and all of the food we had was delicious. The ambience is very nice, minus the music being a bit loud. The service is as good as can be expected given the lack of workers. I definitely recommend giving this delicious food a try.

Had a Friday night reservation at 7:30pm, we didn’t get our meal until 8:45pm. We were comped our meal due to the delay but our server was very aloof and not communicative which yielded frustration and confusion. Dumplings were very good but not worth the poor service. Also, a list of beverages on draft would be nice to have; this was not provided and not realized until I saw the bar walking to the restroom. I didn’t have tea but they had a good selection. Needless to say I will not be eating here again.

I know everyone is short staffed, but to wait for 45 minutes for your dumplings - and not all of them mind you, just the first plate - without any apologies or explanation is just not acceptable. The dumplings were good, not the best I’ve ever had and the service was okay, but the decor and ambiance was nice. We may try again and hope for a better experience but with so many great restaurants in Madison it’s unlikely we will return any time soon.

Absolutely delicious food. Service was good, they seemed to be understaffed but doing their best (who isn't these days). My only feedback for Feast is that I've tried to order takeout twice (I live in the neighborhood) and they never answer the phone!
