This is our third time trying to order the gluten free pizza in the last two months. We thought we were actually going to get it, then the waiter came by to tell us they were out of gluten free pizza dough. We had already received our salad or we probably would have left. We changed our order to a gluten free pasta dish, then proceeded to wait for over twenty minutes for it to arrive. We never once saw our waiter after we ordered our main dish.

I'm not sure we'll be back. We realize that everyone is struggling with getting the necessary help and that service is slower than normal, but it only takes a few seconds to stop by a table and make sure we are happy with our food. Also, if you can't get the gluten free dough then take it off your menu. We go out of our way to eat at Farmers Table because their GF pizza is exceptional.

Trouble started when it took too long to be acknowledged by a server. Appetizer was over cooked, everything else was good but not impressed by the restaurant or food selections.

We went there for the thanksgiving dinner. The server was nice but the only time he came by to check on our table was to take out order and deliver our drinks. We ordered the turkey plate, lamb chops , and a side of brussel sprouts. The turkey was extremely dry and they were out of cranberry sauce and didn’t event tell us they were out until I asked. They ran out of lamb shops so they had to substitute for pork shops, they I had to get a hold of two different people to find out about our brussel sprouts. In the end the sprouts didn’t show up until we we’re almost done eating. The deserts they served tasted store bought. The only time the server was actually attentive was getting us the check which he served before we were even done with the dessert. And with all the substitutions and late service they still charged full price. I don’t know how they are for a normal meal so I can’t comment on how the service would be then. But I would not recommend this restaurant for thing of a holiday nature.

The Turkey & mashed potatoes were good, but the stuffing was hard as a rock, the green beans & corn lacked any flavor. And we ordered a side of Brussels sprouts that didn’t come out till more than half way through our dinner. When it arrived they weren’t cooked enough & they lacked flavor too. Kinda disappointing.

Thanksgiving dinner disappointment.
Service was slow. Tiny piece of glass in pumpkin soup which cut my inner lip. Told staff they didn’t seem to care. Dressing was dry and almost
Burnt. Brought us wrong desert
When we told them it was wrong they got visually upset.

We went to the Farmer's Table for Thanksgiving dinner which would explain the busy madness of the evening. Everything was great, but we want to go back on a normal evening when we can enjoy the food and decor more without the noise of a full house! A sign of culinary success!! The pumpkin soup was fantastic...close to being a lobster bisque! (sans lobster!) The lamb chops were done to medium-rare perfection and our waiter was charming and attentive. Looking forward to going to the FT in Clairemont in our neighborhood!

Wonderful food for a Thanksgiving dinner!

We were seated outside which it turns out wasn't ideal for my Mom (whose older) although thankfully we were by a heating lamp. And for some strange reason our order just got mixed up from the beginning...it took a really long time for our starter salads to come out and then I'm pretty sure our turkey dinners went to another table who was seated after us. To top it off, they ran out of bread pudding for dessert. (All 3 of us had ordered it.) Mom loved the pumpkin pie though and the Julian apple pie I got was also delicious.

Aside from these couple of things, it was a great experience. All the food was excellent and the hostess and waiter were very friendly. I'm looking forward to returning to order from their general menu.

Great food and super cute restaurant. A little pricey but worth it. Great place to take kids. It was really busy and a server was a little harried but overall good service.

We waited over 10 minutes just to be addressed by the host when we had a reservation. I get there's a labor issue so this wasn't really a huge deal. We then wait another 15 minutes for our server to come over. We were seated outside quite literally by ourselves away from everyone in 50 degree weather. Whatever, this is all bearable. Our food takes an excessive of time to arrive and when it did it was underwhelming. I then had to physically get up and take my check to the host because we were being neglected for so long. We were here almost two hours and didn't want to be here for half that amount of time. The 100$ tab was not justified in ANY way. Do not come here.

Overall great experience! We were seated on patio, it was a cooler night but the heat lamp kept us all comfortable. The food, especially the carbonara, gnocchi, truffle flatbread and beet salad were all very good. I have eaten here many times and have had an occasional mediocre meal. The atmosphere is charming. The only small complaint I have is they did not offer to refill waters after we paid but were still chatting and visiting with our relatives from out of town. The restaurant had available seating at the time so it didn’t feel like a way to have us leave, but possibly an oversight.

I had Gluten-free pesto pasta with shrimp that was very good. I had eaten there twice in the evenings, and both times they were out of their gluten-free items. We had made a reservation for our anniversary, and we were seated in the bar area without much ambiance. That's why I gave a lower rating, but the gluten free food is very good when available.

We always enjoy our visits to Farmers Table. We hosted my son and his girlfriend and sat outside on a beautiful evening. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Great wine and food!

What a wonderful restaurant this is. Everything about it was top notch. We had an artichoke appetizer a Caesar salad, Bronzino, roasted vegetables, sweet potato mash, and a nice glass of red wine. Definitely going back again!

Overall good experience. Server was friendly and appetizer was good. Entrees we’re good with one exception my fish was significantly over cooked. Also, it was still 30 minutes before close and we tried to order a latte and was told the machine was shutdown for the night.

Although we live in La Mesa we've only eaten at Farmer's Table about 5 times. The food is generally good but it is noisy inside if you are dining with friends and want to talk. We chose to sit outside last night which was great. Our waiter put up two heaters and it was comfortable. Our food came out fairly quickly but we had no utensils for at least 5 minutes and as we were outside the food got cold quickly. My husband asked for his pizza to be cooked well done (crispy crust) because we had had pizza there before and the center wasn't well cooked. The pizza was very soft, so that it couldn't be picked up and eaten by hand, although it tasted good. I usually get the Farmer's Salad because I like the ingredients. Because it was my main course for dinner I decided to add shrimp to it...A little disappointed when it came with only 3 shrimp. I forgot to look at the add on charge for it, but whatever it was there should be at least 5 shrimp on the salad:) All in all we had a nice dinner and a good time with our friends.

It was a very good dining evening! My husband and I were given a choice of eating outside or inside. Either choice would be good but we chose to sit inside. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We shared mussels and clams first. I was very specific about how I wish to have them prepared. They came exactly the way I had requested.For dinner I had short ribs with polenta and broccoli. I citrus were extremely tasty, very well prepared, you could tell they had been cock for hours. Not to saucy, just right. I had a glass of one of my favorite go to wines called Pessimists .Delicious blend..The portions were generous and there was no room for dessert. All in all it was a very nice evening and looking forward to going back.

food was very good, but a bit uninspired. Sadly, our appetizers and entrees came out together--we should have sent the appetizers back, but didn't. Fettuccini was too much pasta, or too little everything else. Oxtail ravioli was over sauced. Roasted carrot salad was very good and seared Ahi was very good.

Everything was great. But it seemed the server was preoccupied and didn’t pay much attention. It took forever to get our order in, food, and bill. Either preoccupied or too many tables for one person. I love Farmers Table either way, just wasn’t the best night to go.

Ordered food to go. The hostess clearly lied to us and put the problem back on us that one of the orders we had submitted was not there. She did not try to call us and she lied to us about it. A simple apology would have gone a long way or even attempting to call us back. The manager gave a small discount that was nice, but it was clear we were bothering her and she only addressed us because she was expected to. She didn't even apologize or have a conversation with us.

We have tried your restaurant many times and look forward to making it one of our favorite returning locations, but if the staff treat us like we don't matter forget it. We don't have to be catered to, but genuine interaction and sincerity is a part of customer service. Both lacked that ability.
