Farmer's Table - Chula Vista
Themed with farmhouse decor, the restaurant will have a large variety of breakfast and brunch items, from egg Benedicts and frittatas to French toast, pancakes, and waffles. Featuring a full cocktail bar with bonkers Bloody Marys and drinks garnished with sausages and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Our afternoon and evening menu ranges from flatbreads and pizzas to pasta and larger entrees like braised lamb shanks and wood-fire roasted chicken.
My experience was not that good. The menu is depending in the time you go. The service was bad, and overall nice restaurant but is pricy for the service they offer. Not coming back.
The food and the service was fabulous. I couldn't leave anything on my plate because it was so tasty. It's a bit pricey but worth every cent. Only thing I didn't like is how loud the music was. It was good music but too loud. I spent most of the time yelling at everyone to communicate. Who knows what the waiter said but I got the right order.
The wait staff seemed overwhelmed but I attribute that to Post- Covid ramp up
Very relaxing setting. The service was great. Our waiter and other staff members kept checking up on us. And the cocktails where amazing I highly suggest the basil lemonade.
Everything was GREAT! I must say, so glad I went to the bathroom at the END of my stay. The bathroom was DISGUSTING! That totally would have ruined my experience if I had gone in the beginning but the service, place and food were amazing!
I took my mother in law here for her birthday yesterday and it was a great experience. I will be coming back just because of the amazing service. The waitress made our experience very memorable and I’ve honestly never had such a great waitress. I believe her name was Cynthia, she has blue hair. The food was great, we were served quickly, and checked on multiple times. I love the aesthetic of this place as well. I have already begun telling family to go there. Definitely recommend.
Our server Cynthia was awesome!
Very noisy but after asking the waitress, she was able to move us to a quieter table.
Good family food. Jambalaya and frittata were very good. Will try again soon.
dinner for 2 we sat outside b/c inside was loud...great service.. delicious food.. had delicious avocado toast appetizer and we split a pizza and salad.. somewhat pricey but great presentation!
Always check before the restaurant menu online or menu listed outside. We are residents of Chula Vista for lots of years. Very happy to see a new eatery which we were trying out. We had a reservation. After seated 3 or 4 staff came to say they will be shortly with you. After 15 mins. Our waitress very unfriendly asked for our drink order which they were out of different kind of beers listed. We were unaware this was a “new natural/organic” type of restaurant cooking. Even still we decided to place a order. Finally our young waitress came to take our order she informed us that until 4pm we could order dinner, this was 3:20 only appetizers & pizza. The hostess with the mostest should of told us ALL THAT we could of gone somewhere else! Waitress made a face when I said I wanted the check “no worries “ she said. She informed the front when I paid the hostess had a sour face no apology etc. I was a F &B Mgr. I made sure my customers were treated pleasantly by staff making them returning customers “your bread & butter !
I wish you luck.
Bad food and terrible service !
We were very pleased with our food selection and our server was amazing 😊
It was a great experience, we had no wait time to be seated. The drinks were perfect and the food was amazing!
celebrated our daughter's graduation dinner with party of 12. the staff was very attentive, our food came quickly and everything was excellent. we came around 630ish and stayed til near closing and they didn't mind. we found it surprising that the restaurant wasn't packed during graduation week but we were very pleased. compliments to the chef for the delicious meal. we enjoyed a variety of the days specials and everyone came out happy and very pleased. we will definitely return to try other meals on the menu, they have a huge selection of sea food that I would like to try. thank you!!!!
Great place to have dinner. Service was very good and food was tasty.
Went here for my sons graduation and everything was perfect! Our reservation was ready for us and the service was great despite being short staffed and busy.
High school graduation
Service was great! The food was nothing special and very small portions on some of the dishes especially when you consider that every breakfast dish no less than $15dlls. Cute place but probably won’t be back.
Graduation breakfast. Good service. Waitress was super attentive.
Great place to go, wonderful menu, generous portions, great service and ambiance!
First time making reservations for this restaurant. We were excited to finally try out. Come to mind the 3 o clock hour they serve nothing but flat bread pizzas. This was disappointing. Concierge said that even appetizers weren’t available during this hour. Really really disappointing this wasn’t advised when making reservations.
Thoroughly excited to have a Farmer’s Table in Chula Vista. Even better knowing that the food is consistently wonderful at all locations. Will definitely be back again!
Good food and tasty Mexican mocha with great service by the energetic young lady with green hair. Will definitely be back.
First time here at Farmers Table at it was an awesome experience! The Calzone is definetly my go to now and our server Guiseppe gave outstanding service and recommendations! Would definetly go back!
Food was not comparable to the other farmer’s table locations. Zucchini blossoms had way too much batter, calamari wasn’t crispy. The kale salad and crab dip were good.
Tables were not socially distanced, in fact one table was so close to me that a person would not be able to walk between my chair and the chair on the other table.
Food and Service was amazing. 4 of us all had something different, and we shared a bit because it was so good. The gnocchi was perfect. Large portions. 4 cheese pizza, amazing. The short ribs were perfection. You can't go wrong.
So great to have a top notch restaurant in downtown Chula Vista. The food was so amazing. The waitstaff was very attentive. My only issues was the sound. It was very loud as the sound bounced off the bare floors and walls. But I would certainly return for another date night when I am ready to talk loud.
Overall, it was an excellent experience for our first time here. Service was very good; the food came out very quickly after ordering. Drinks took a bit longer but delicious. Pizza, octopus and steak were very tasty. Calamari and crab cake were OK. Definitely would go again and recommend to friends. Specify seating section when you RSVP if inside our outside. Ambience was energetic.
It was a bummer because our server was very slow, forgetful & not.very attentive.
Our service was unfortunately, horrible! Everything was slow, 4 of us got and almost finished our food before we finally got our waiter to bring out the remaining 2 meals. We sent the salads back since they never came before the meal. The entire experience was just lousy, which was sad since we were happy to be going out to support a local restaurant, and it was for a birthday celebration. The manager tried to make amends, but it was sadly a bit too late. I just cannot recommend this location until they figure out what they’re doing.
The server didn’t come back with our salsa and never came to refill our drinks. Service could use improvement
We went out to Farmer’s Table for our birthday celebration. It was my first time there as well as my sister’s first time. The food, service and drinks were awesome! I cleaned my plate! I’m so happy they open a location in Chula Vista. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Food was extremely salty :( maybe it was just back luck... but our server was amazing, she was super sweet. I would definitely give it another try for sure!! I might have better luck next time!
we have been to brunch many times at this location but this was our 1st time for dinner. none of us liked our dish, it was a bummer!
Tasty food, friendly staff and fun atmosphere! We will be back!
The owners have done a beautiful job remodeling the former Marie Callender's restaurant. What a beautiful transformation! Such an open, airy and fun new place for Chula Vista. Service was great and fast. The artichoke appetizer was absolutely my favorite. My husband's steak was melt in your mouth delicious, as was the great sauce.
Make a reservation. Had great service, food came quick and was delicious.
Amazing experience and delicious food.
First waiter who waited on us was very nice and professional, by the time we needed to place an order to go, he was not at the restaurant anymore and we requested someone to assist us with the order.
We waited and no one came, i requested again the service and a few minutes later another waiter came with an attitude asking what we needed, i gave her my to go order and she was not nice, she seems to be on a bad mood.
Hopefully the first waiter, got the tip that we leave with the check, second one did not deserve it.
