We lived in North Park for 8 years and this place was the first place we have been to that made us feel like we were back there. Thank you for such a lovely evening

Farmers Table Has a nice industrial hipster vibe, however, the tables are too close together and the restaurant is almost too loud for conversation. The menu has a lot of appeal but the food was mediocre (chicken was dry and beef was mostly gristle). On the other hand, the service was great.

The service was very friendly and the food we ordered not only came in a timely manner, but was also very well done and flavorful. Some of the pricing seems a bit high, but there are a lot of choices available in varied price ranges. I would recommend Farmer's table to my friends and family.

This was our first time at Farmer's Table, and we were delighted with the food and the service. Our server was most gracious and helpful, and we had other employees also stop by to check and see if we needed anything. We will definitely go back, and have already recommended Farmer's Table to others. Thank you.

Ambiance was great. Service is excellent. Food is pretty good. The ribeye was disappointing. Had a lot of gristle for a $40 steak.

Delicious, well prepared and attractive food. Good beer on tap. Friendly servers. Noise level can get rather high due to lots of people and open beam ceilings. Service a bit slow the night we were there which was on a Monday. They were very crowded however, which tells you something about how good the food can be! A little on the expensive side.

We were really excited to try the new location of Farmer's Table, because we're big fans of the La Mesa location. Instead of it being what we'd hoped, it was just middle-of-the-road. The food was fine, but the price was too high for just "fine." I ordered the black and white pasta, which has fish, prawn, clams and mussels The sauce was delicious, and the fish and prawn were cooked perfectly. But the shellfish were so overcooked, the meat was non-existent, and I really missed the shellfish in that dish. My friends felt similarly about their dishes. Our waitress was lovely, but there was a long time between each visit from her, and the bussers. Overall, I'd really hoped this would be a great place we could return to since it's so close to home. We might try it to see if it was an off night, but if the service and food are the same, we won't go back.

Food was fantastic. Service was average to slightly above average. Ambience ... well, it's in a strip mall, but they have managed to create a decent atmosphere considering. Prices were high considering location - as much or more than you'd pay for a comparable meal with a very nice ocean view. We only go to dinner a couple times a month, so if we're going to splurge and pay these prices, well head to the coast.

The quality of the ribeye I ordered was sub par for the price. Flavors of the duck dish was delicious but in my opinion was over priced

Great food and service will definitely be back..
The bloody Mary’s were amazing.
The pecan crusted chicken sandwich was delishious..

I'm so thrilled to have a lovely place, close to home, with a varied menu of excellent food! I also appreciate the fact that I can dine outside with a dog or two since I am in walking distance.

We ate here for restaurant week and enjoyed the prix fixe menu for $40. Everything was delicious, the portion sizes were generous but not too much. Corkage fee is $15 a bottle which is decent. The service was a little sketchy at times but once we had established that we were dining European style and did not wish to be rushed it was delightful. We stayed for 3.5 hours! Best of all, the noise level as GREAT! We were seated on the patio and never once had to shout or repeat ourselves - brilliant!! Lots of patio heaters made it toasty. We loved this place and will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We selected the "Restaurant Week" menu...started off with the stuffed zuccini blossoms; then to Restaurant week selections. Highly recommend the grilled artichoke appetizer and the bread pudding was excellent. The artichoke ravioli was ok but not spectacular. Yes, we will be back. Our server was wonderful and they were most accommodating.

This was our first visit and we were thrilled..... it was a birthday celebration and a bonus turned out to be it was also restaurant week. Some of us took advantage of the restaurant week menu and wine pairing. The menu is extensive and everything we ordered was outstanding.... as was the service. Great food, great service, great value, we will be back!

I live in Clairmont and it is great to have a none fast food option that is mid range. Not many similar options in the area.

Came here for SD Restaurant week. Had the very good squash soup, and the artichokes, & lobster ravioli. All were good, although the sauce on the ravioli was overly salty. Service was OK, but they brought out my artichokes when i was still only half-way through my soup, and I felt rushed for the other courses as well.

Much to my dismay, I discovered after I came home that while the SDRW menu listed 4 courses, I was actually charged extra for the dessert, which my server had told me was included. Double check your bill!

We went her for lunch today on MLK day. Luckily, I made a reservation as it was hopping. However, they must have been too busy because our food and service suffered. Our medium burger was well done and even charred (yuck, nothing like a dry, over-done burger), the salads were tasty but hastily thrown together. For the price, they could have included tomato or avocado -- they were mostly greens. The pecan crusted chicken was greasy and was probably sitting there for awhile before served. The crab cake Benedict was just good, black beans were very good. The service was terrible. We waited 15 minutes for our bill, after our meal was finished and sitting and chatting for a bit, and finally had to ask the busboy to fetch our waiter. We watched him at the register for 15 minutes entering things and never once even looked up. We also had to ask for water twice (one of my personal pet peeves!). I recommend because I have been here before and it was pretty good last time so I will give it one more chance. However, I hope they learn that they need more staff (in kitchen and on floor) when they are busy and need to have the staff pay more attention to their patrons. Unfortunate today.

This restaurant has good, if pricey, food. But their service is consistently terrible. They are mostly nice but not very attentive and so slow that any meal involving children is unmanageable. I keep hoping it’s a start up issue but am losing hope.

I'm not sure what happened since it started out fine. The decor was great. We were seated quickly, water and bread brought out immediately, our drinks came out quickly, too, and placed our orders... Then we waited a LONG time for our food. No one checked on us for a long time. We watched people (who were seated and ordered well after us) receive their meals. Once the food came out my son's meal was wrong. He ordered rissoto and chicken was served. Not only that, but the rissoto was bland and not cooked all the way. All of our food was bland and lack luster, except for my daughter's ravioli and mussles. Desserts came out, and one of the desserts was not what was ordered. The server did comp that dessert and brought out the correct one, but we were already frustrated from having been there so long. I didn't feel that the quality of food was up to what we paid for it. I understand that locally grown and raised food can cost a little more and we're willing to pay for it, however, it was just ok. We were underwhelmed. In addition, when the I check came, it was incorrect, with the charges for the wrong food brought out. It was corrected, but it was just one more thing that didn't sit well with us on top of everything else. I guess we had high expectations since the reviews were glowing. Not sure if we'll give it a second chance yet.

The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The service was a little off. Our server and place a couple of wrong orders and kept forgetting things we would ask for. The bar seemed a little slow as well. Overall, we will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at Farmers Table! My husband and I went for restaurant week and enjoyed trying different things and sharing from their pre-set menu. The locally sourced food is great and getting to see a list of their vendors on the back of their regular menu was awesome. I love knowing where my food came from. Our server even comped our drinks because he didn’t like how long is took our main course to come out, in all honesty we were enjoying conversation and didn’t even notice a lag in time. Thank you for a great date night, Farmers Table!! We’ll absolutely be back.

After hearing positives about Farmers table for a long time, I decided to take my family for dinner tonight. I made a reservation for 5:30.
Positives: decor, varied menu.
Negatives:
1 terrible service ( waitress barely checked on us)
2 45 minutes wait to get 2 kids pizzas for the children ( apparently kitchen lost our ticket)
3 poorly cooked food ( the pizzas were so rushed they had a burned bottom and uncooked dough and cheese)
4 Waiters lack of follow up.

I love the atmosphere here and the staff have always been very nice and helpful. This is the second time I have eaten here and all but one of our items were great. We had a pork belly flatbread pizza which was delicious and Ordered pasta with meatball for our little one which was good. We liked the texture of the pasta if that counts. The only thing that was lacking...I mean really lacking was the Farmers salad which I told the server about and the manager took it off the bill. If you are going to order this make sure you are clear on how much comes with the pile of arugula bc There wasn’t much and it wasn’t great looking or tasting. Although it was less than great, I have a feeling it was originally forgotten so they threw it together. Overall, I would recommend you give this place a try. Although on the price side the food is good.

Great concept but disappointing execution. The food was fresh but lacked flavor. The wild boar sausage with polenta was perhaps the best dish. The soup (carrot) was good but cold when delivered to the table, and the duck pate and baba ganoush were both bland. We ordered a variety of starters, appetizers, and soup/salad in order to taste many dishes. Rather than staging the delivery, everything was presented at one time. Service was friendly and enthusiastic but mediocre. Please teach your waiters how to properly open a bottle of wine! Perhaps they are still working out some bugs. Hopefully these types of issues can be overcome. It would be great to see a fresh and flavorful dining option in this neighborhood.

The restaurant still has a few bugs to work out but overall is a great addition to the neighborhood. Service is slow (my 3rd visit and all 3 times pretty slow). I had a special order (due to food allergy) and food came filled with the item I requested be left out. Server was quick to apologize and replace. Again, this spot has lots of potential but still needs a little polishing.

Everything about this was great except the food. I was really unimpressed with the cheese plate and meatballs we ordered. This place has the potential to be amazing! Loved the wait staff and it is super cute inside
