Great atmosphere! We went for breakfast mid week and had a great meal. I had out of town guests with me and we all enjoyed our breakfast. Coffee was hot, food was excellent and the service was stellar. They also have a full bar. I will definitely be going back!

Food was cold and part of the order was forgotten. Had to flag down a waiter/waitress 5 times as our server never checked in on us.
Flavor of the food was good but cold and service people need more training.

I love the décor, ambiance, service and food. Great service and relax atmosphere. Lots of parking space and food is excellent. Portion are hugh. Would come here again and recommend this place to anyone.

Food was really good, especially the flat bread. I didn't especially like my cocktail and thought it was a bit overpriced but I'd for sure go back (and try a different drink).

Ambience, service, and selection are great. Food is hit or miss. Some elements were fantastic (bison burger, fish special); others were disappointing (steak over cooked, “risotto” was just rice). This is my third time and each time has been just okay; they have the potential to be great but haven’t found their groove.

I went to Farmer's Table with a girlfriend of mine, and we enjoyed the entire evening! From the wine to the food and service, everything was five star! I'd recommend trying the squash blossom appetizer, they are among the best I've tasted! Definitely splurge and allow the wait staff to bring bread for the table - it was divine! I'll definitely be returning!

I have been to Farmer's Table in La Mesa and loved their food. I am so happy to have this location so close to where I live. The service was amazing, the food was quick and the ambiance was very mellow. We will definitely be coming back. Kudos to our waitress!! :)

Taking toddlers to restaurants can be stressful, but the staff at Farmer’s Table were so sweet. They served the boys’ meals very quickly and helped clean up a few messes. We were also lucky enough to have the booth next to the window, behind which was the pizza chef. He was so playful when the boys stood up to watch him. He later sent pizza dough out so the boys could make pizza at the same time as him. Finally, he sent a little, tiny pizza out for the boys to share. We were so thankful that the staff treated our little ones like family. We will definitely be returning regularly (or as long as they put up with us).

This is a great new spot to get Farm to Table food in a hip, casual atmosphere. The food is fantastic, if a bit pricey. Service was friendly and efficient and I loved that they offered gluten-free bread as an option at the beginning of the meal (while the rest of the table ate the fresh baked regular bread). Nice to have dogs on the patio as well.

Our server was friendly and checked in with us with some frequency. The order was mostly correct and arrived in a timely manner. Our server was not trained to have a person to taste and approve of the wine before serving it and she did not bring the bread to have with the meal. Risotto with potatoes was not tasty, although the lamb was good. The salads needed more dressing and I had ordered my dressing on the side which was not done. The gnocchi with duck was tasty and a large portion. The pasta with pancetta was flavorful and rich. The addition of peas would have made it perfect. We all decided that if we had to be in the area we might come again and we would not elect to make it a destination.

Split a salad with my friend & they automatically brought it out on two plates. Such a small thing, but showed care for their customers needs which is greatly appreciated. Also tried the veggie risotto & thought it was delicious, would definitely order again.

Service was great with our first server... she was great. But when she was replaced, we kinda felt like we got forgotten with our replacement. We will continue coming because the food is fabulous. It was just a small hiccup in the night in our opinion.

I would give the food 5 stars but the service 2 stars. We had reservations at 7 pm on Saturday and were seated inside with a minimal wait. The reception staff were very friendly. Our waitress started out friendly and helpful, but as the evening progressed, she seemed like she was rushed and wanted to quickly turn our table. I had the oxtail ravioli and my friend had the lamb shank. Both were delicious. We also had the mushroom and olive "jar" as an appetizer. After we finished our meal and asked for a box for the lamb, our waitress brought our check right away without asking if we wanted dessert or an after dinner drink or coffee. As soon as we pulled out our credit card, she whisked the bill away and brought it back to us quickly for a signature. She then checked back a couple of minutes later to check to see if we had signed for the bill. We hadn't even had a chance to pick up the pen! She must have wanted to turn our table over to the next party. It was a very busy night, but she could have at lease asked us if we wanted anything else before bringing our bill. It left us with a bad impression, even though we loved our food. This was a special occasion meal, so we had hoped to celebrate and stay a bit longer than we did.

I've eaten a few times at the Farmer's Table in La Mesa, which has always been extremely busy. Because of that, I find the atmosphere there to be noisy and a little frenetic. Bay Park's location was less crowded, quieter and much more conducive to a relaxing meal. Every member of the wait staff was superb. They were friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in until the time we left. I ordered the short rib benedict, and every part of the dish was absolutely delicious! The polenta served with the short ribs was creamy and tasted like butter and the potatoes served on the side were perfectly tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The extensive menu includes sandwiches, flatbreads, salads and sweet breakfast foods, so there is a big variety of both savory and sweet dishes. I'm sure the crowds here will match La Mesa's soon, so get here quickly to enjoy an excellent mean in an unhurried environment. You may see me there!

Our second trip to Farmer’s Table in Bay Park, this week with another couple. Two of us began with FT’s Barrel Aged Manhattans. A superbly crafted cocktail not easily matched anywhere. The four of us started by sharing the stuffed zucchini blossoms. Unique, tasty and difficult to find in most restaurants. Each couple then opted to share short rib entrees. A grand, tender, delicious rib that literally slides off the bone. You will come back again for this marvelous dish. Service on both occasions was attentive, informative and helpful in making decisions. This farm-to-table restaurant should appeal to an uptown crowd as it’s own neighborhood residents.

We had Speck pizza and it was delicious. Large enough for two to share. We also had fabulous chocolate lava cake for desert. I liked the restaurant and will return again.

I know this restaurant is new so I am forgiving for a while. The service was fine and friendly but our food was not hot. I had the vegetable risotto and the vegetables on top were actually cold. The salmon on top of the pasta was not hot either. Still the menu looked interesting and we will probably try it again

Farmers Table Has a nice industrial hipster vibe, however, the tables are too close together and the restaurant is almost too loud for conversation. The menu has a lot of appeal but the food was mediocre (chicken was dry and beef was mostly gristle). On the other hand, the service was great.

The service was very friendly and the food we ordered not only came in a timely manner, but was also very well done and flavorful. Some of the pricing seems a bit high, but there are a lot of choices available in varied price ranges. I would recommend Farmer's table to my friends and family.

This was our first time at Farmer's Table, and we were delighted with the food and the service. Our server was most gracious and helpful, and we had other employees also stop by to check and see if we needed anything. Delicious, well prepared and attractive food. Good beer on tap. Friendly servers. Noise level can get rather high due to lots of people and open beam ceilings. Service a bit slow the night we were there which was on a Monday. They were very crowded however, which tells you something about how good the food can be! A little on the expensive side.

We were really excited to try the new location of Farmer's Table, because we're big fans of the La Mesa location. Instead of it being what we'd hoped, it was just middle-of-the-road. The food was fine, but the price was too high for just "fine." I ordered the black and white pasta, which has fish, prawn, clams and mussels The sauce was delicious, and the fish and prawn were cooked perfectly. But the shellfish were so overcooked, the meat was non-existent, and I really missed the shellfish in that dish. My friends felt similarly about their dishes. Our waitress was lovely, but there was a long time between each visit from her, and the bussers. Overall, I'd really hoped this would be a great place we could return to since it's so close to home. We might try it to see if it was an off night, but if the service and food are the same, we won't go back.
