The waiter got the drink order wrong. He brought the wrong type of beer. The gluten free pasta was way over cooked. The sausage in the pasta was grisly. The sauce was delicious so it was a shame everything else wasn’t done right.
However the prices are the best in town. Maybe I ordered wrong. Will try it for a third time.
Great food. Long wait even with a reservation.
Birthday. We had a wonderful waiter and an overall nice experience here.
Food was awesome! Service average. The waiter ordered the wrong dish for me. Barely apologized. Had to wait while others at my table were eating. Had to ask for water refills as all 4 glasses on table were empty for some time. When we asked for our check the waiter said ok then proceeded to spend next 10 minutes servicing other tables and wandering until I could get his attention to ask again for the check. Maybe just an off night but he did not look happy to be there.
Bad food, crowded, seemed dirty. used to be good years ago. More like a cattle car than a restaurant.
great italian restaurant, delicious minestrone, fresh & well cooked fish & pasta. Superb wines.
Rude servers! We were asking if we able to change the table and the server or manager i don’t know said very loud and rude “NO!” And all i said was “okay just wanted to ask, thank you” he said “NO!” Again. In a very rude way i have no idea why!?
Asked for a water 4 times and didn’t get, i got my water end of the night.
Server or host whatever the position lady was throwing all the salad to the table and to my friends arm and hand, okay got it accident happening but she said sorry and thanks god they bring a new salad, i was expecting more than that! At least ask how is everything so far etc.
Server never check table again!
After the meals they were on a rush, it wasn’t even closing time we were asking for a dessert and they were not happy with that! We ask for a menu the same rude guy bring to the menu and from the back he just kind of passed menu rudely! I don’t know how to explain that.
Tiramisu was horrible but no worries! No one ask about how is everything so we just left on the table!
Not a good experience at all! Service 0 star!
Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived as the restaurant was extremely busy. The manager made it right by pouring my wife and I some champagne. Once we were seated at our table the wait staff was very attentive. The eggplant parm appetizer was fresh and delicious. My wife enjoyed her pizza and my pasta arrabbiata was perfect. This is a mom and pop old Italian style restaurant with traditional dishes that surpass their bench mark.
Everything was great! However reservations was for 4:30 but the restaurant was not open till 5
Amazing dinner with a wonderful bottle of wine. Service was exceptional
This place is absolutely delicious offering a variety of homemade dishes. Great for any occasion, but perfect for a date.
It was Valentines Day and they were very busy, but very attentive and helpful. The food was incredible and they had an amazing wine selection. I’ll come back again
They overbooked like crazy for Valentine’s Day and everyone who had a reso had to stand in line for an hour plus to get the table we booked. It was insane. Horrible experience. Then our waiter forgot our drinks then charged up for them on top of that the food wasn’t even that great for all the wait.
Not sure what purpose reservations make ? Basically, had to wait for a table to become available we’ll after 8 pm reservation time !
The food was great. Well prepared and presented. The service was great. Attentive without being obnoxious. Here's the issue. We were overcharged by about $50. My mistake for not checking the bill but on the way home that night we and the other couple we were with realized that the bill was way to high for what we ordered. It was late and we don't live close to the restaurant so couldn't really go back. Just check your bill carefully before you give them your card.
I have been going to Farfalla for 30 years and it never fails to impress! The service, the ambiance, the food....aaaaahhhh! All adds up to awesome
Outstanding, as always! Thank you, Farfalla!!! ❤️❤️❤️
The food and restaurant was great but it was a little bit cozy and cramped. Especially having a baby in a stroller.
I've been dining at Farfalla for years. Love the authentic Italian vibe and food. The Pasta Fagioli soup is must on a cold night - or any night. The pastas are all amazing. The bread and oil is amazing. The wines are amazing. The ambiance is dark and quiet. Always perfect evening!
Been coming here for thirty years -- no exaggeration! It's always great. It was my son's first restaurant (as a baby) and where we came to celebrate his engagement.
A local staple for 30 years. It was 30 years ago when I first tasted tiramisu, at Farfalla. They made me a tiramisu critic. Even they are not perfectly consistent--last Saturday it needed just a bit more cappuccino soaked ladyfinger and just a little less mascarpone. Nevertheless, what many restaurants and pastry shops call tiramisu is just a tasty treat perhaps inspired by tiramisu. We go for pasta, but don't hesitate to share a pizza.
Food was good, but overpriced. Wine list was large, but way overpriced. Service was very attentive. I didn’t go there looking for a bargain, but I left feeling that I could have found the same quality at a better value elsewhere.
WONDERFUL STAFF; HELP AND OLD WORLD FAMILY WITH YOUNG PEOPLE OF SILVER LAKE EATING THERE . ANDRA AND WAITERS COOKS FRIENDLY AND WE WATCH THEM COOK TOO.
Our server was fantastic. I can't remember his name but the service was outstanding, the food was hot and it was delicious. I had eaten at another location and it was not a memorable experience and never went back. Thinking this was a different restaurant I booked it and was pleasantly surprised. I will come back!
Great service and excellent food! It's a neighborhood gem!
Nice table and good atmosphere. The waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink. we opted for Water and a hot tea. I quickly noticed the eye roll which tells me that the waiter thinks the bill won’t be that good since we don’t drink alcohol. That is a short sided thinking waiter because I can more than make it up in food. I am a former athlete with a big appetite. My wife order her entree and I ordered two. The waiter never once came by to see how we liked the food, or see if we needed anything. He never came by to refill our water glasses or more hot water for my wife’s tea. As I was finishing my second entree the busboy came by to remove a few plates. At that time I asked him to tell my waiter that I wanted to order a second pasta entree to take home because I enjoyed it and wanted to eat it for lunch the next day. Now we are up to 4 meals for two people. Not a bad $$ check so far.
The next time I saw my waiter was when he brought me my take home bag of pasta. As he sat it down on the table he said “ do you want anything else”? .. he never offered coffee or offered a dessert menu or even told me what the dessert options were. We actually wanted to order coffee and dessert, however with that kind of service I was so done and wanted nothing more with the meal. I asked for my check.
I always sit down with the intention of tipping 20%. It’s up to the server to make that number higher or lower depending on the level of service. I ended up tipping 15%, but honestly he didn’t even deserve that. This was an anniversary dinner and it certainly was forgettable
I can find good pasta in other places. I won’t return
It’s a pleasure to visit and consistently get a great tasting meal in a cozy setting without spending your whole paycheck. The wait staff is knowledgeable and can assist in pairing the right wine. I suggest making reservations as I’m not the only one who loves this place.
Love the ambiance. Food is always great as well as the service. Loved ghat we were seated promptly. Always worth going back!
NYE. It was packed at 5:30.
Without fail, the best Italian dining experiences in Los Feliz. Service is always good, but Alex, in particular, is outstanding. Highly suggested.
Excellent service and food! Andres is the best host! Best value in L.A.!
Always a great experience and food is always on point.
A true gem!
They are always WONDERFUL!
Excellent meal, attentive service, good atmosphere. A very enjoyable evening.
A long time favorite!!!!
Food is not real authentic italian but more for a general american audience. Quality not great and definitely overpriced especially the wines. 57 dollars for a Chianti? come on!
You can tell they have been here a while. Kind of phoning it in. Very mediocre food and service.
Food was very solid. Service is good, but the host/entry situation is kinda nuts. We basically had to flag someone down after 10 minutes. Still, the pastas are bangin.
