About Famous Greek Kitchen
Opened 33 years ago this family style Greek restaurant has been a staple in Greenwich, CT. Today it has been passed down from one generation to the next. John's son Seve, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, has expanded the menu with simple, healthy, homemade dishes. The decor has been updated and the service still remains top notch.

Famous Greek Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Fabulous food. Spectacular service. Nice ambience. Lou was our waiter and he was terrific as he was very knowledgeable about the wine list and was well-versed about the ingredients and preparation about the broad range of food on the menu. This is truly an incredibly wonderful restaurant. My wife and I will return again and again alone as a couple and with friends.
Never disappointed. The food is consistently good. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable. Our booth for four was fine. Had we been six people, way too tight. I think the music is unnecessary. The space is small and there's enough chatter amongst diners not to have to deal with additional sound.
We have been coming to this restaurant for ages. Way back when it was a neighborhood pizza place.
In the last years it has upgraded and it is more of a restaurant. The food is very good, wines are good, service is good.
We are very pleased to have the restaurant near-by.
After going to Greece this summer a friend of mine told me to go to this restaurant in Greenwich with amazing Greek food. Famous Greek Kitchen was wonderful. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back.
This place continues to amaze...the service is off the charts while the food is wonderful each and every time. Try the fancier specials or the cheaper but delicious Gyro. Finally, this place has a great wine list. Although there are few big name wines, Lou and Melissa (and others?) work hard to have an excellent selection of fun whites, reds, and roses at fair prices. This is becoming a regular stop for us in Greenwich.
I have eaten here twice in the last couple of weeks - once for dinner with my wife and once for lunch with a friend. The service has been courteous and prompt, the portions quite large, the prices reasonable and quality of food was very good. Dinner on a Saturday night was noisy and Sunday very quiet. I would recommend this place for any meal.
This was our first time at Famous Greek Kitchen and we will be back! It's a welcoming family run business with excellent food. The service was great and the owner (one of a group of siblings currently running the restaurant after their father retired) went out of her way to make it a great experience. The spinach pie appetizer was the best of its kind I have ever had and my husband raved about the gyro. There are plenty of good entree choices and portions are large. Overall a real pleasure and a great find!
We are 3 New Yorkers and were in Greenwich as a meeting point at the Metro station. We wanted a restaurant that was less pricey as many in the area but still wanted a great meal. We found both at Famous Greek Kitchen. The grilled Octopus was excellent and the mixed seafood dish (can't remember the name) was fabulous. We were 3 happy campers.
We had a lovely lunch for Father's Day. My husband enjoyed his Gyro sandwich. My Pasticcio (sp?) was delicious and enough for 2 servings. We started with the (3)special hummus and pita bread. Very good! Our grown children were on diets. They ordered small Greek salads with grilled chicken. (It was enough for 2 servings each) They both enjoyed the salads including peppers, stuffed grape leaves and wonderful feta. Pinot Grigio was reasonable.
