   The waitstaff was friendly, slow, had little info on the menu . The veggie option was "succotash" literally a plate of white rice with a tablespoon of corn. Most unsatisfactory

   I took my family to Family Meal for brunch after a performance of The Golden Goose at the Children's Theater. The food was excellent and the service was superior. I will definitely return.

   Very disappointed. Menu looked great in theory, but execution was not good. Bloody Mary was bland (how can that be? It needed SALT! That seems impossible to imagine.) Chicken salad sandwich full of tiny bones! Fried green tomatoes hard and bland. Wedge salad too overloaded with egg. Mac and cheese was "ok". Won't be going back. Sorry!

   Surprised you all didn't have regular iced tea. Sweet/unsweet. I suggest adding to menu

   Good southern charm to the restaurant and food, service was excellent with our group of 7. Would recommend to friends.

   We are big fans of Bryan Voltaggio but have yet to visit Family Meal for brunch so this was our first experience. Unfortunately, the chicken and waffles that we originally went there for, was off the menu that day so we were a bit disappointed. It happens, but we figured this was a menu staple since our friends who have been there multiple times were always able to get it before. Anyway, we were the ONLY table in the restaurant at the time and our service was a bit slow. A lot of the servers were hanging out at the host stand which I found to be a bit annoying. I am not picky by any means and my boyfriend is in the service industry, but when you're the only table in the restaurant I think you should get a little extra attention than if the restaurant was super full. Overall the food was great, very tasty and a good value. Our server was good, not great but attentive when she needed to be. Will return...hopefully for the chicken and waffles next time!

   We were there for brunch. They did not have a separate gluten free menu, nor was their menu marked for gluten free. When we asked the waiter about gluten free, there seemed to only be a couple of possibilities. He also seemed a bit put-out at having to find out for us. It was disappointing. The food quality was good and the "aviator" cocktail was great. It is a cute concept with a garage doors to let in the outside on nice days. Overall, not terrible, but unless they get more "gluten friendly," we won't be back.

   Our family visited this past Father's Day! The service was awesome and the food was delicious. We have already planned our next visit.

   Good menu items not generally seen in most Richmond restaurants, but SLOW. How long does it take, anyway, to make a gin rickey and pour Scotch on the rocks?

    My stroganoff was dry and my mousse whoopie pie was bone dry and the mousse felt like it was pulled right of the freezer. Had a big client with me, so I couldnt complain, so was disappointed.
