   This tiki bar is legit! The drinks, service and ambiance are all top notch. We visit tiki bars wherever we travel and this is one of the best.

   Have been to many, many speakeasies. This one was more like a very large noisy bar with some tables set aside for a “speakeasy.” The bar was decorated beautifully with a tiki vibe. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and very nice, definitely not as attentive as most smaller speakeasies. Probably won’t go back.

   Great experience and drinks! Staff is very knowledgeable about their drinks and where their alcohol is sourced. They can recommend a drink depending on your flavor preferences. The Rum Barrel looked amazing and entertaining. We enjoyed the painkiller, the missionary downfall, and Coronado luau special. All did not disappoint!

   Our second visit to False Idol did not disappoint. The Tiki drinks here are great, and the atmosphere is fantastic! Highly recommend.

   No food as it’s only a bar, no issues there. There is a restaurant outside of its entrance. Love the drinks and wonderful service from host servers and bartenders. Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time so you can enjoy the drinks seated as space is a little limited and they book up super fast.

    First this is the best Tiki bar in San Diego. This evening Johnboy was creating the drinks. He is absolutely amazing. The drinks from the menu were spot on. And at the end, we asked for something a little off menu and he hit it out of the park! thank you, my friend. The ambience is absolutely breathtaking. The whole experience is fantastic. We enjoy coming to San Diego and enjoying this masterpiece. We will see you very soon. Thank you!
