First, we were unaware that this restaurant is part of the Marriott hotel. Definitely influenced the ambiance. Next, we were happily surprised to learn valet parking is complimentary if dining there. We had a late brunch and while the food was good, it was not special. Certainly, convenient to our destination; Tredegar Iron Works.

Food was excellent. Waitress was very polite and gave great service at the table. Her visits were somewhat rare and the food took a long time. But overall a good experience.

Nice menu but tasteless—except for appetizer. I had shrimp & grits, my wife Short ribs, and both had little flavor. We liked the crab hushpuppies appetizer. Noisy, including crying baby

We booked a last minute reservation before a local event and couldn’t have been more pleased. Service was exceptional from the hostess to multiple servers that stopped by the table. We ordered shared appetizers and salads. All were outstanding. Will visit again when in the area.

Ambiance was great! Several seating options make this a great restaurant for any occasion. Staff was very attentive and our server Jada was outstanding! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. We will definitely be return customers.

While the French onion soup was quite good , 2 of us wanted our soup as an app. Only one was brought to the table. Took at least .15 minutes to get the 2nd soup. Was it worth the $14 charge per soup. Nope. The fried chicken was just ok. Not worth the price either. They validated our parking ticket which did not work. Will we I ever go back. Nope.

Always delicious! And I appreciated that they were celebrating Pride Month with a special drink menu that made a donation to a n LGBTQIA nonprofit. Our waitress was very kind and helpful.

We requested a quite table in a less busy area and that was accommodated for out party of 4. Service was very attentive. Our waitress was Michele and she was excellent. We ordered appetizers, glasses of wine and soft drinks. The raw oysters were cold water oysters and were super fresh with a nice salinity. The Hush puppies with crab were very good as was the pan cooked corn bread. Entrees included fried chicken, salmon and shrimp with grits. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The pace of service was great. We have dined at the Fall Line before and it has been consistently very good. We chose the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and we were very pleased, as usual. The only area where we have an issue is the restaurant gets quite noisy as it fills up, but that is true of most restaurants with a busy bar and dining room.
