   Nice place. Bread(seemed like grocery store roll) and oil was a waste. Couldn’t eat that. My shrimp pasta was pretty good. Wifes Ragatoni would of tasted better with Ragu sauce. Overall dissapointed

   My friends and I love Fabians because of the very good food, friendly wait staff amd the location is not far fro where I live. I have never been disappointed with any of my visits there.

   First visit. Food was fantastic. Tables are separated by higher partitions which allow diners to have private conversations. Definitely will return.

   Pretty little restaurant in Almond Plaza in Fair Oaks with a bit of European charm for our Saturday night dinner inside. We had several people attending to us who were all friendly and welcoming. We both loved the Smokey Rosemary Gimlet cocktails in the relative quiet of an early evening. Both the clam chowder and Caesar salads were good sized and tasty. For the main course, my husband had the tagliatelle pasta and I had the ravioli dish. SO GOOD! It was just delightful at Fabian's.

   My first, and probably last, visit to Fabian's was a disappointment. We were looking forward to a creative take on Italian cuisine. We both ordered the short ribs, since they were out of chicken piccata - at 6pm on Thursday night! The short ribs were shredded over a very thin, noodle-shaped pasta and unimaginative brown gravy. Portions were small. The chocolate cake was dry. However, the drinks and service was excellent.

   All of our food was excellent. I especially liked the burrata and asparagus and the ravioli with lemon sauce. My compatriots loved their chicken also. I do wish there was an option for a small side salad or that there was an accompanying veg to go with the pasta dishes, as there is for the meat and fish dishes. I can’t imagine having $26 dollars worth of risotto for my dinner.

    My friennds and I love eating at Fabians because of the very good food, service and atmosphere. When the patio is open, it is especially lovely to eat there with all the foliage and lights. This restaurant is also close to my home without any freeway driving. These are all important to me.

    Food and Service were fantastic -- great Italian food and competent and warm service. When you drive up and enter, you wonder if you made the right choice. It is winter and patio and entrance did not prepare you for the wonderful food and service you would find inside

    This restaurant came highly recommended. We visited for lunch. My companions had a ravioli dish that they enjoyed. My vodka sauce penne was mediocre at best. I have enjoyed a frozen Bertolli dinner more, for half the price. The service was excellent, & the ambiance was pleasant, but I was not impressed with the food.

    Lovely place. Underwhelmed. Crab cake Benedict was underwhelming. Patty was thin with very little flavor or substance. Side of potatoes was more flavorful than the star plate. Sadly, disappointed.

    The Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu looked great on paper but was not as good in execution. The stracciatella toast was not toasted and seemed a bit stale, while the mushrooms and sauce were good; the yellowtail crudo had way too much going on—the sauces were okay but there was too much of everything but the fish, and the grapefruit was completely out of place for a delicate raw fish like yellowtail (see photo); the Italian wedding soup was bland and too brothy; the entrees were excellent, especially the duck with crispy fingerling potatoes; desserts were fine. Overall, not a great value for the money ($99). Service and ambiance were excellent.

    A special occasion, Valentines Day. This normally good restaurant charged $100 per person not including wine. If you did not show up within five minutes of reservation time, They would charge $50 each person for no-show. We were first to enter the restaurant at 5:00 PM and were seated at the smallest, most uncomfortable table in the restaurant. They said that all of the other tables were reserved. Service was extremely slow even though staff were very courteous. They served a four-course meal, only. And only the desert was good. First course was a salad that consisted of one-half of a hard-boiled egg and a few flowers. Second course was a toast with cold melted cheese. Third course was either lobster or duck. The duck was big enough for, maybe six bites, and not all that good. My wife had the lobster which was served raw and could not be eaten. They offered and served a second lobster which was also served raw. They offered to try a third time, and we turned that offer down and asked them to box it so that we could cook it at home. Desert was good. It took a total of three hours to be served the four courses described. My wife goes there with friend on a regular basis. But, after that overpriced, horrible meal, we likely will not return.

    Food was late. Tasted mediocre at best, for the price. Service was virtually non-existent…except for order taking and bringing the $155 bill - never once checking on our table. This was a Valentines dinner at my girlfriends favorite restaurant - Not a favorite any longer!!

    Great service and ambience. Chicory salad was severely underdressed and lacked any seasoning. House special of Chilean sea bass was excellent. Cooked to perfection with crispy skin and perfect internal temperature.

    Very nice restaurant tucked away in a small shopping center with upscale shops. Great little bar. Unique cocktails and good selection of beers and wines. Sunday brunch competes with the best of them. Cordial staff.
