Only one server Jasmyn was worth the hype and she was super sweet and tried so hard to make us happy but the manager knew there were issues and instead of just handling it she came up interrupted our dinner again and made us feel awkward and uncomfortable. DO NOT go here if you have food allergies especially for celiacs. Our food ended up tasting good just not worth the $ especially for the incorrect descriptions of dishes and skimpy sides. Communication between staff is lacking huge! Also why do we put comments and requests in reservations for hosts NEVER to accommodate or even read them. Hostess failed from the start bc she didn’t read those notes. Became anxious and awkward for me trying to communicate with her in front of my date. Downtown city expensive dining like this should not be ran this way. Read the notes!!

It was an experience we don't necessarily have to experience again. The outside bartender was good, but our water glasses were dirty. 2 of them had red lipstick on them. Once inside the bugs (flies and mosquitos) were all over the us and the food. The food was OK, but portion sizes are minimal. But the most disappointing part was the mandatory 18%-20% service fee. We don't think we will be returning.

We celebrated a birthday at Zuzu this past Saturday night with a party of 8, and I can't say enough good things about this downtown Detroit restaurant. Having made our reservation a full month in advance, we knew we were in for something special – and Zuzu absolutely delivered. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The valet parking made our evening stress-free, which is always appreciated when dining downtown with a larger group. But what truly made the night memorable was the exceptional service and absolutely incredible food. We decided to order family style to maximize our opportunity to explore the menu, and I'm so glad we did. Honestly, there wasn't a single dish that disappointed – every item was a winner. The kitchen clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in every bite. What impressed me even more was how accommodating they were for dietary restrictions. One member of our party follows a gluten-free diet, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful in ensuring there were plenty of delicious options available. No one felt left out or limited in their choices. This is easily a 10 out of 10 experience, and we're already planning our return visit. If you're looking for an outstanding dining experience in downtown Detroit, Zuzu should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended for special occasions, date nights, or any time you want to treat yourself to something truly special. Would I recommend? Absolutely – without hesitation! Will I return? Already making plans for our next visit!

Becel & Jack were our waiters and they were phenomenal. We celebrated our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it special for us. Complimentary Champaign and a beautiful anniversary dessert. The food was top notch. Best tempura shrimp we’ve ever had. The wagyu skewers were 10/10.

Everything was good. The service was excellent. However at over $500.00 for a meal for two I expect to be blown away by at least one of the food items.
