Was very excited to try this restaurant. We sat at the bar and although the bartenders were pleasant, things took a long time. It did not feel that busy yet our first drink took more than 10 minutes. We ordered the muscles and clam appetizer. This appetizer took more than 20 minutes to get to our table . Two out of the six clams did not open up and the chef still sent them out to us. The Taste was very good on the muscles and clams that we ate with a great sauce and the sourdough bread base was an excellent touch. I spoke to one of the managers and he then spoke to the chef who acknowledged the mistake. The chef apologized had a team meeting in the kitchen and offered us a dessert. The manager was very polite and respectful. We did not take him up on the dessert but appreciated that. My wife and I both commented on the price of entrees and the menu. Very expensive.

The ambience was nice and service was good. Apart from the cocktails, I don’t think the prices at this place offer a good value for customers. For example, we started with the calamari appetizer and it was mostly fried peppers. The main dishes also left much to be desired. Ultimately, I’d suggest skipping the “bistro” and head straight to the bar before or after you grab dinner at another restaurant in the area.

Excellent dinner and service. One of the best places to eat on Elm Street! The filet was cooked perfectly.

It was our first time at Evo, so we didn’t know what to expect, but it’ a very nice place. It was a quiet Thursday evening, and we sat inside along the sidewalk. They had several known-good draft beers, and we enjoyed a dozen oysters.

This was one of the best dinners I have had in all honesty ever. The 28 day aged beef rib was absolutely incredible, amazing whiskey selection, and I never order desserts but they had the best crème brûlée and lava cake. I would highly recommend and strongly encourage anyone to go they have a new head chef who really knows what he is doing. Can’t wait to come back!

The fillet is the best I’ve ever had. The drinks are great and the service is good. My only complaint is the noise level. Two out of the three times that we have been we basically had to yell at each other just so we could hear ourselves talk. Wasn’t a dealbreaker though everything else made up for it.

I've been to Evolution a few times. I really want to love this place but I consistently feel like the food they deliver just doesn't match up with the price point. For two mixed drinks, a shrimp cocktail, and two lobster rolls came to $147 before tip. The shrimp cocktail (6 shrimp) was VERY fishy and definitely not fresh. The lobster rolls were good but theres many places around that offer better lobster rolls at lower prices. Service was excellent! Our server Allison was very attentive. There was a minor hiccup with being served a dirty bottle of water that had things floating in it but another bottle of water was promptly provided. I'll probably go again for drinks and an app but skip on dinner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner from beginning to end. We decided to try evolution as it was new and also because of the proximity to the palace theater. The first thing that separates this restaurant is the ambience. This feels like a Boston or New York-esque style ambience. We were greeted quickly and shown to our table. I think they had a nice range of options in their menus. We decided to try the short ribs poutine for an appetizer. This was by far one of the best appetizers we have had in a very long time. The gravy and the curds very much complemented each other without overpowering. My boyfriend got a glass of red wine and I got the Paloma. The Paloma was perfectly mixed very refreshing. For appetizers I got the Sunday chicken and my boyfriend got the fillet. Both proteins were cooked to perfection. The chicken skin had a nice crisp to it and brussels sprouts and carrots were great. The six hour potatoes were outstanding. I asked about “by six hours “, it’s a low slow, cook to break down the starch and made with clarified butter. The consistency was like no other. We were so stuffed we couldn’t have dessert, but the options looked wonderful. The design of the restaurant was well sought out. It was warm and elegant wherever you looked. The bathrooms were clean and modern in vibe. I also observed what seem to be a private enclosed dining room that seated up to a table of 10. Almost like it would be a chef’s special dinner room. All in all we are extremely impressed. Money very well spent. And we will definitely return.

We had Oysters and Short rib poutine for appys. We both had the Filet with 6 hr mashed potatoes/asparagus. Those potatoes are to die for!! Skipped dessert due to just too full! Loved the ambiance where we were sat away from the bar. We will be back!
