We originally heard about Everest Cuisine's Indo-Nepali menu from a favorable review in the Palo Alto Weekly last fall. Our dine-in experience was a happy one, though the restaurant does do a brisk take-out business, so the limited staff must juggle their duties. All the food we ordered was tasty, and the hostess was very attentive. We were given a sample of roti as we waited to order and also complimentary raita with the food items, which indeed helped balance some of the more spicy dishes. We particularly liked the Gobi Manchurian cauliflower appetizer and the chicken and vegetable Nepalese momo dumplings. The Chicken Zam Zam, a chef's special, was well-seasoned, spicy, but (as warned) had little bones. We also ordered the Himalayan Lamb Special and Dal Makhani and garlic naan for a satisfying casual meal for the 4 of us, a very good value in the south Bay Area.

fabulous unusual Indian/Himalayan food with some Chinese food thrown in as well due to the region. Scaled down no frills no fuss restaurant. Free Chai tea as well. Love it!

Everest Cuisine is described as Nepalese, but other than one or two items, it looks a lot like a typical Indian and/or Chinese menu. The butter chicken was delicious, and the service was very good. This place is hidden away next to an office building, but it may be worth trying to find!

Very good selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Each dish appears to be individually prepared and served hot from the kitchen. Will be worth trying their lunch buffet, served everyday.
