Acadia Crawfish & Grits
An Evangeline original, peeled Louisiana crawfish tails sautéed in garlic with the Cajun trinity of onion, celery, and green pepper, served over a bowl of creamy Creole Grits
2 Louisiana Blue crab cakes, sautéed in butter
Louisiana Crawfish simmered in a rich New Orleans style sauce served over steamed rice
Great food! Lots of flavor!
Brunch was excellent! They are serious about the bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, we didn’t see the bottom until we finished our to-go cups.
Excellent food, excellent service!
Very good food for brunch and friendly staff! Many thanks!
GREAT Crawfish and Grits also the Evangeline Pasta MUST TRY
As a local, this wasn’t the quality/ atmosphere I expected. It was okay but we ended up going somewhere else for dinner after appetizers.
The menu was limited to only having mostly fried items. There was no flexibility of substitutions. The fried crawfish were the smallest, most ridiculous ones I’ve ever seen. They were like those baby dried shrimp that you use for fishing. It was also extremely overpriced for the quality and quantity.
We’ll, on a late Thursday night, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The drinks were perfect, a saz for me and moreover frufie stuff for the boss, Al were 5 star. Appetizer was crab cake , deliciously crispy and pure crab, very little filler. Dinner was excellent crawfish and grits were exceptional and the red beans and rice were very good. Staff was on it! Will definitely be back ❤️
It was such a nice time. The staff were great! Friendly, accommodating, enjoyable. The food, yuuuuuuummmmmeeee!!! So happy to have found this place.
Great birthday dinner for my daughter!
The crawfish and grits was amazing; I wanted to lick the plate when I was done. and the French Quarter Mule was the perfect cocktail to go with it. Highly recommended!
This was a first time visit even though I live in New Orleans. Made a res for my daughter’s 17th birthday with her friends and me. We chose to sit in the beautiful courtyard and there was a fire going in the huge brick fireplace and candles on all the tables. Lovely ambiance. Inside there’s a huge bar and a few smaller tables for dining. Our waiter Brent was a gem and warned us they were short staffed that night. We ordered the red fish special, the etoufee, and two pasta dishes. Brent was great at accommodating our gluten free and vegetarian guest. Items are marked gluten free on the menu also. They were very busy in the kitchen but got our meals out in no time! Huge portions for a great price too. Local seafood was delicious. Highly recommend.
This spot is outstanding from amazing staff to delicious food. I can’t wait to come back.
Nice little courtyard for a beautiful Sunday brunch. Very limited menu great choices. Crab cakes were full of crab and the pain perdu was great.
My wife and I were in town for the evening and wanted a French Quarter dining experience that we would never forget. We found that at Evangeline‘s. The food was extraordinary, the service was out of this world, and the host was quite funny. If you have one night to spend in New Orleans, make a Evangeline‘s your destination for dining.
We had great service (Brent?) and the food was excellent. Ordered the fried green tomatoes, fried alligator, pasta dish, jambalaya, and red Beans and rice. My Brother-in-law said the red beans and rice was his favorite meal in NO so far and We’ve been here for 2 days.
The specialty cocktails weren’t that great, but hard to know if we just don’t t like Sazerac or it was their mixing.
Food was fabulous and staff were entertaining as hell (while maintaining helpfulness and professionalism). Lovely experience all around!
Food was good. Service great. Ambiance terrific. People awesome.
Atmosphere, service and food was exceptional. A great place to bring some to experience the cuisine and ambiance New Orleans is known for.
Had the Etoufee and local beer sitting at the bar. It was the perfect lunch and service at the bar was excellent
This place is awesome and the courtyard dining was incredible. Rocky took real good care of us and was very helpful with food selections.
Had a wonderful dinner. Waiter was extremely helpful and attentive. Food was delicious.
There was no host/hostess upon my arrival. I considered leaving, but was eventually seated. Some of the employees seemed to know many of the patrons. Not sure if this is intended to be a neighborhood spot, but it seemed as if the host and the server could care less that I was visiting this establishment.
The food was okay. I had the redfish and found it underseasoned and dry. The pasta was good. I'm from New Orleans and was home visiting. Although I have my favorite go-to places, I always branch out to try new restaurants & support local businesses.
Maybe they were having an off night. Not 100% convinced I will visit again or recommend it.
This place is a hard No. We had a reservation. First the host tried to seat us beside to waiter order station. We asked for patio - he said no room, but then we watched him seat two other couples on patio who just walked in right after us. Half of the already small menu is unavailable. No dinner salad available at all? Two entre salads on menu, but one unavailable, and no first course salad whatsoever. Supply issues are hitting everyone, but when the host is so unprofessional, we just had to leave and eat elsewhere. There are places for great food is nola, but this one is not among them.
I had the crawfish and grits and my husband had crawfish etoufee…they were both excellent! The only thing I was disappointed about was that the whole courtyard was reserved, so we couldn’t sit outside to eat. I made my reservation several weeks ago, wish I had known I would need to request to be outdoors.
I would skip this place for Brunch…Noon reservations; big line of people so not seated until almost 12:30. Bottomless mimosas are pricey at $20 and mostly orange juice with very odd tasting bubbly. Breakfast potatoes reminiscent of Denny’s.
Very friendly host and waitress! Such a fun experience!
Dave at the door has things under control. Make a reservation and be on time. Food was great. Mist try this place when in New Orleans.
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our anniversary brunch. The staff was wonderful, the food was great. Thank you for a great experience
Great!!!!!! Excellent food and atmosphere
E were the Only courtyard dinners on a chilly October evening. The staff were good sports and the service was excellent. Best dish…. Crawfish and grits.
Good food and service. Would definitely recommend especially if you want to get away from the strip for a bit.
We had a wonderful experience at Evangeline. Our server, Nonee, was so great and made our anniversary extra special. And the food is amazing.
We enjoyed dinner in their courtyard. My Pim’s Cup was perfect, down to the 1/2 inch cucumber slice! The fried green tomatoes had a light, spicy batter and just the right amount of remoulade. I loved the Acadia Crawfish and Grits, and my husband’s Red Snapper on fettuccine was one of the best meals we’ve ever had in New Orleans. Eat here!
Yummy food! Friendly staff! Hostess, bartender and waitress were wonderful! They were happy to take our pictures (I can only imagine how often they get asked that!) Lots of gluten free options.
This was one of the better meals that we had in the French Quarter. The patio is beautiful, the food was wonderful and the service was good as well. Wonderful place for a meal.
Amazing brunch, tasty bottomless mimosas, super-friendly host, and our server Nick was awesome! Would highly recommend!!
It was all excellent. Brent our server was helpful and attentive. All of the staff was a delight to be around. We even made friends with the table next to us over two delicious desserts. This place is a must if you're looking for a good meal with friends or a date night.
