Food was great. Salad with blackened shrimp was too salty. Service wasn’t great - seemed understaffed.
I grew up in southwest La not far from the town Eunice where Chef Drake Leonard’s hails from. My husband and I have been attempting reservations to the restaurant for some time now and we were not disappointed! The food was superb - those brusselsprouts are to die for as well as the bbq shrimp. Fabulous addition to the Houston foodie scene!
Great local place. A hidden gem! Happy hour during the week is great.
We came in straight from Lake Charles Louisiana for our anniversary. The ambience was definitely impressive and the owner made us feel special. Eunice came highly recommended by our friend Jeremy Ward, and it didn’t disappoint! Thank you again!
They no longer have valet parking and the Parking Garage is horrible. There are lots of guest spots on the first floor but you are required to park on 3 or higher. The traffic is dangerous and people do not pay attention going around the corners. Probably will not go back until Valet parking is back.
Love Eunice but like most Houston restaurants they are having a challenge being able to sustain and diversify happy hour cocktail and menu options, etc. We ordered 3 dozen oysters. They were the size of a quarter. They were delicious but it's obvious management is trying to recover financially from the months they were closed. To preserve happy clients most restaurants will have to figure out how to balance these challenges and keep their customer base.
We intended to eat on the patio, but the sun would not let us be great. Distance was kept between tables and patrons. The service was great and food was good. We had the fried quail, oysters, gumbo, crab tartine, salad and pulled burrata. The pulled burrata I really enjoyed, very different with amazing biscuits. Everything was seasoned well, will definitely be back!
Excellent service, delicious foods, lovely ambience
Will definitely return with friends
Great restaurant, waiter was very friendly, and the food was delicious.
Excellent! The outdoor space is amazing. The food was great!
Excellent food and service
Lived up to expectations and reviews. Solid
Perfect piece of fish served as requested --- sauce on the side because of dietary restrictions. COVID concerns respected and well managed. Staff highly attentive; never had to ask, they just seemed to appear and disappear as needed. Could not have asked for or expected a better experience. Lance
Top spot in Htown! Great place during or after work. Truly great.
Very good SWLa Cajun Inspired food - not NOLA creole - which is hard to find in Houston.
Shrimp and Grits more of the low country style and is a fabulous dish.
The weekend brunch potato/egg/hollandaise entree is to die for.
Wine list is good, you’ll find something to go with your meal.
Great food. Service could have been better
Food was very good but service was slow. They maybe short staff with Covid.
It was amazing.
This time the service wasn’t so good, they mixed the drinks, entrees took so much time to arrive, maybe because it was friday night and it was full ...
The platea were very good, but after having been there several times the menu is a bit short of choices and it is not so easy to find something different... maybe have some extra daily alternatives will help
The whole staff was great from hostess’s, servers & managers. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend
Ok, this is just one of THE best restaurants in Houston. It's gorgeous inside. The food is magnificent and you cannot beat their Power Lunches!
One of the most delicious And innovative meals I’ve eaten with excellent service and a lovely and very comfortable decor. Recommend it highly!
This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. First off, the $20 express lunch can't be beat for it's value. They offer up probably the best gumbo in all of Houston. The service was awesome, the food delicious and our experience met all expectations.
Outstanding. Food was (as always delicious) and the service was fun and attentive. We had a great time! I need the Icebox lemon pie w/raspberry sorbet back on the menu 😂.
I love Eunice and have been so happy each time I have dined here. 😋
Excellent atmosphere and fantastic staff. Highlights for me were the yellowtail poke-style ceviche appetizer and the amazing hearth roasted oysters. Definitely bold in terms of flavors - the gulf fish was far too buttery for my girlfriend, but I loved it; salad was much too bitter for me but she though it was fantastic. Cocktails were slightly on the sweet side but all in all I highly recommend giving it a try.
Went here to celebrate my birthday, and was blown away by how good the food is! Had not tried, but had heard good things about this place. Well I was really surprised as it was beyond my expectations! I had the shrimp and grits, and my hubs had the burger. Both had a great culinary twist to them and were not the same old renditions of these classics. We also had the quail (delish) and the Dan Dan shrimp, which we ended up ordering seconds of! Don’t miss the biscuits and the bread pudding for dessert! We will be back!
Sitting outside and having drinks and a few appetizers is perfect at Eunice. Love the chicken liver mousse. Service was excellent both table side and at the front desk.
Good food but too loud to work or study
Great overall menu with each dish prepared to showcase the abundancy of the local fare. Best gumbo this side of your grand-mère's kitchen.
Food isn't bad but overly salty. Service is great and I love the interior.
The customer service was excellent. Enjoy the dinner.
The food was amazing.
Great place to take a date, have a business meeting, or take a spouse.
I found this place on a whim. I loved the ambiance immediately upon entering. The cinnamon roll and roasted oysters were amazing! I’m now a loyal customer.
We love this place: the food is amazing, every dish is so accurately created and everything is so tasty. We had lunch in a lovely table outdoors and it was great.
Went for brunch with the family. Excellent creole food!
They are pretending Covid is gone seating people close together and over crowding the restaurant.
We are from New Orleans and have been looking forward to visiting Eunice. We were not at all disappointed. The quality of personnel, food, ambiance - all made us feel right at home. There were so many interesting things on the menu and lucky for us, our server recommended we approach the menu ‘tapas’ style or family - to be shared. In this way, we were able to try many different offerings, which was so much fun. We had fresh oysters, scallops, the broccolini, and the gulf fish. All so amazing. The cocktail list is also adventurous yet lives up to high expectations. We took home the key lime tart to enjoy later but can’t wait to go again and try an entirely new set of options!
food quality was superb.
Excellent soft shell crab.
table service was excellent.
pas of food service was perfectly timed.
We had three coarse with everything being topnotch.
Hostess was extremely rude and unprofessional. Service was slow and barely got around to take orders, nevertheless suggest.
Oysters were great, duck and Etouffe were bland.
