For all parties of 1 to 12 people, you may make your reservation on our OpenTable account. For Large Groups of 13-20 people, we offer a prix fixe dinner for $125 per person, organized for you by our team. We require a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. For parties of 17 or more we offer a Private Dining experience uniquely designed by our team, ranging from a private portion of the restaurant up to a full buy-out. We request a minimum of one week to organize your Large Group event, and three weeks for Private Dining. All events are subject to availability. For both Large Groups and Private Dining we require the menu to be selected ahead of time so our kitchen can adequately prepare to give your group the best dining experience possible. First time at a Fine-Dining Indian restaurant. Unique, beautiful decorum and location. I enjoyed my visit but expected more, and felt very rushed. Had the following: Food: - Kerala Fried Chicken (10/10) - Braised Short Ribs (7.5/10) - Ghee Roasted Lamb Chops (7.2/10) - Butter Chicken (7/10) Drinks: - Woodside (4.5/5) - Shady Grove (4/5) - Green Vodka Sour (3/5) - Hennessy XO (4.2/5) Pros: - Kerala Fried Chicken was delicious - Some of the Cocktails - The Decorum and Architecture - The Server we had Cons: - Rest of the food was not seasoned and salted enough. Which is unacceptable for an Indian restaurant of this caliber. - Felt extremely rushed when the receptionist explicitly mentioned that we only had an hour and a half. Really sets a bad tone on a celebratory dinner. Would've spent more money and enjoyed my time a lot more. And the vibe that the person who walked us to our table felt off - felt very standoffish and not really welcoming, which is extremely frustrating if you drove an hour to get to the restaurant. - Bathrooms were not cleanly and had 2 stalls. Don't really want to wait in line when have limited time to enjoy my meal. - Should've had a spirits menu, especially Indian whisky. I think there are bright spots but it left me wanting. Would recommend this place for others to try out but probably won't revisit unless food is of the caliber to the Kerala Fried Chicken.

My sister and I had a wonderful brunch at Ettan. We sat outdoors in the lovely patio and shared a selection of small plates including the Ettan salad, shrimp, oysters, and chicken. The coconut desert with mango topping was a great way to end the meal. Service could not have been better, even though we stayed longer than the allotted 90 minutes. Look forward to a return visit.

Disappointed in our dinner at Ettan. Food was bland and not fresh. None of the dishes hit the mark. Service was good and ambiance was nice.

Had a wonderful time at Ettan in Palo Alto with my family! The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed — perfect for a special night out. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great balance of creativity and flavor in every dish. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive throughout, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. It was truly a memorable evening, and I’d highly recommend Ettan for anyone looking for great food and a refined atmosphere to enjoy with loved ones.

Ettan always has delicious food and the ambiance is rarefied. It is a lovely place to go for a special occasion or just a lovely everyday kind of dinner with family. Everyone in my family loves it, including the kids.

I took my team for lunch to Ettan. There were barely any people at the restaurant yet the service was very slow. I was not happy with the food either. The main dish came first and after losing my patience waiting for the accompanying rice to come, I had to go in and tell them we are waiting for the rice. By the time the rice came, the main dish was already cold. No one came to ask if we needed anything else after lunch. I had to approach someone to get us the dessert menu. For the kind of money we spend at a restaurant like Ettan, the experience was not up to par.
