A hip and fun restaurant with chef's counter dining, serving thoughtful American cuisine, with an emphasis on local seasonal products.

Ethel's Fancy is open at 5 PM Tuesday - Saturday.

We will be Closed for our Summer Break from the 29th of June, through July 8th. Reopening July 9th, 5pm. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We have a small dining room with a limited amount of reservable tables. We do keep our Bar seats and a table in the restaurant open for people to walk-ins. Walk-ins are on a first come basis.

Please do not make multiple reservations with the intention of combining reservations to increase party size.

All guests must be present before your party will be seated.

To help provide a seamless experience for all our guests, we have allocated 2-hours for your group of 2 to 4 people.

Ordered 6 items. Each one was my new favorite. Can’t wait to try the whole menu! And it changes on the regular. How lucky is that.

The menu was interesting, and the food was good. We sat at the bar at the low counter. We shared 2 "morsels"--the marinated cucumber and Bing cherries, and the sesame pancakes with halibut -avocado spread. We shared one entree and the dessert with blueberries. Everything was good. It we a bit noisy, but we'd go there again as we enjoyed it.

BRAVO, Hail to Ethel’s Fancy We were greeted so graciously and warmly by “Mickey the GREAT” GM ~ Mickey totally championed the phrase “YOU REIGN SUPREME” no words can describe how you went over and above to make our special evening celebration beyond measure!! We felt the heartfelt love throughout the evening From the outstanding service, to the wonderful table next to the open kitchen~ we were in AWE the whole time watching the magnificent Chef Scott in a beautiful Birds Eye view. Every dish that came out was a work of art and tasted INCREDIBLE my mouth is watering as I am writing this! Everything was over-the-top EXCEPTIONAL We bow down with ultimate gratitude, for an EXTRAORDINARY experience, we will never forget

Lovely experience. Service was great. Food was fantastic. No misses on any dish. The food here was pretty reminiscent to that which I've had at Michelin starred places, e.g. a wide variety of ingredients that go surprisingly well together. I suppose that's no surprise given the chef's prior experience working in high end restaurants. I highly recommend this place!

Such quality food and you can tell each dish was made with excellent attention to detail! Our server was extremely attentive and made great recommendations, highly recommend!

Very enjoyable dinner sitting at the counter. Watching 6 chefs, including chef Nishiyama, working in the kitchen was a treat. Every dish has a unique flavor with familiar Asian, maybe Japanese, ingredients, but done in an innovative way. The only thing could be done better is the gap between dishes. The wait was a bit long.
