Black Cod Marinated
with yuzu miso and pickled radish
yuzu truffle dressing, mizuna and pickled vegetables
Food was excellent!
The hostess was lovely, offered indoor or outside also a blanket for evening chill, due to possible rain ate indoors, server was very helpful and attentive food fabulous especially the black cod
I am in love with the food at this place. The sushi was delicious. Cocktails were good as well. Value for money! So pocket friendly. Great location.
La comida muy buena pero el servicio estuvo demasiado lento. Tuvimos que reclamar varias veces por lo
The service was slow. They seated us outdoors and in the shade where it was very cold.
We requested to move to a sunnier spot. It was incredibly cold and windy so we finally requested indoor seating. The restaurant was empty, only one other patron there. The octopus was overcooked and slightly rubbery but had good flavor. I was disappointed they would not split the check between two couples and after we reviewed the check, we realized they had grossly overcharged for the cod. When we brought this to the attention of the server, she stated there was an error in the pricing on the menu. When she returned with a corrected bill, she tried to say the cod was adjusted but that the menu was bill was inaccurate for the octopus. Needless to say, we requested the bill to reflect the menu and will more than likely not return/recommend.
Food was delish. The outside seating provided the perfect ambiance. Nika was an excellent hostess.
Awesome views and creative food.
Amazing views and very good service. I did not like the food.
Went to ETARU for a work dinner on a Wednesday night. The server was moderately good but took a long time to get to the table and left us waiting for a while in between orders. The only part of the place that seemed to be full was the patio, and we arrived for an early dinner in order to avoid crowds. Food was good but nothing special- the view is outstanding. The biggest issue is that the entrance is literally impossible to find. You get off an elevator that doesn't show you which floor it's on, only to walk out into what feels like a side entrance, you wander around for a bit, there are no signs, the back feels like the front and the host table is what looks like smack in the middle of the dining room floor. Between the awkward entrance and the amateur service, with decent food, there are other places that cost the same with the same view. I would give this one a pass.
The Lamb Cutlets and Panko Prawns were perfectly cooked and delicious
the person who attended us was an absurd antipathy, I wonder, why work if you are bad with life, better stay at home
Going back really soon
Food was great as we sat and were steps from the ocean.
Excellent experience. Tasty, enjoyable and safe!
We did their Sunday brunch menu and wish we could have just ordered off of a regular menu. The Sunday brunch is a good deal but I Didn’t care for any of the raw fish, oysters, sushi. My husband ordered the scallops and they tasted terrible and smelled fishy unlike the other couple that came with us who got had the same dish and there’s was fine. The dessert was great. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating.
One of the best brunch!!
It was okay, everything was perfect until the sushi came out I poured my soy sauce then proceeded to eat my sushi with the soy sauce & then my fiancé poured out his soy sauce into the little plate & a huge bug crawls out of the bowl! We were given new sushi but no manager came to apologize. No discount for the inconvenience & the fact that I ate my sushi with same sauce that the bug was sitting in. Usually this place is great but I’m a little turned off for the future now
Service was bad. Will not return
You can’t beat the location but the menu was so tiny we couldn’t read it, we had to ask the waiter if we could order drinks then saw them sitting on bar for 10 minutes. The table next to us had to flag him down too. Thinking they might have been short staffed? None of our food came out at same time so a little awkward. My daughter never even got her side which the waiter told her well you probably didn’t want it anyway and took it off our bill. Overall for the price we expected more.
Amazing quality and value for chef’s tasting menu.
I had a lovely lunch at Etaru and was slightly disappointed of the limited options available on the menu. I was very surprised that pizza was listed with a long variety of options. Not very authentically Japanese. I would say the restaurant is more of a fusion cuisine. I would return to try their brunch. Very pricey for the serving portions.
I would recommend trying the Sunday brunch! The best part of the experience is the ocean view/location.
Food was good. Just wish there were a few more vegan options. Service and ambiance were perfect.
What a gem! I've been for dinner but this time we did their fabulous Happy Hour for the second week in a row. Us ladies had the pinot grigio and it was delicious at $6 a glass! It was refreshing, with notes of apple, and the price can't be beat. Our other friend had a couple old fashioned's which he said were good, too. Last time I went for the sake which was decent, if you're down for sake. To eat we munched on the Japanese fried chicken and edamame. Nothing too special, but easy and yummy. Service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!
terrible food changed a lot for the last time that i went there
We love the location of this restaurant. It's getting rarer and rarer to find a restaurant down in South Florida with an ocean view. BUT the food is absolutely terrible. I don't know if they changed their menu because of Corona but it's a very limited menu. I ordered a salad and since it has GARLIC salad dressing and I'm allergic to garlic, I asked for anything else. Not only did they not have another dressing choice but they didnt even have a balsamic vinegar (or any other option). What restaurant has no other dressing but a garlic one?! Ok then we ordered the fatty tuna. It was horrible tasting. Not sure about the quality there but it was inedible. Honestly, you just don't go there for the food. You go there because of the great ocean view and during Corona it's nice to be outside but for us, it's not worth it to go there for bad food.
Amazing view, the service was excellent but the food we didn’t like at all.
Their brunch menu is outstanding and very worth the price. Their dessert is out of this world!
Extremely bad service ruined our experience. Waiters showed no enthusiasm.
Took far too long to get our food but it was very good once we received it all.
I was so disappointed. Used to love it, but last 2 visits have been awful. Went Saturday night, had a 6PM reservation, sat down ordered wine, and was enjoying view, looking over menu,, when manager came to table at around 6:20 and told us we had to hurry up and order dinner because we only the table until 8PM. Ridiculous! We left as we did did not feel like being rushed. Won't be going back
Tasting menu is amazing Service impeccable and the view is outstanding. Covid safety measures are stringently adhered to so we all felt very safe during our meal
Great overall dining experience, beautiful setting, delicious dishes and libations..
One of my favorite special occasion dinner spots
Great place with amazing view.
The restaurant is right on Hallandale beach. The setting is just beautiful, with great service, and very good food! Will be back.
