Great ambiance, service and food! We have only gone in the evening and it's lovely. We look forward to going for brunch. If you like margaritas with a kick, the Rita Okinawa is delicious.
We had asked for a table outside but they did not have this information so we were seated inside. Guess I should not rely on that type of request to be added in the comment section. Otherwise all was great.
Great date place - good romantic vibes
Nothing special. Put us at a table in the back and it was so noise we couldn’t hardly talk. We went because it was on the ocean but they put us in the back.
It was good. Nice location, view, wine list. Food is good
Great food - the burrata with tomatoes was delicious. We had steak, Brandi no and salmon for entrees and all were nicely presented and so good and fresh. The corn with lime has a nice Latin kick to it. The asparagus was so delish. Our food came right away and waitresses were very attentive. The wine we had which is Illino Malbec was just right one for our meal. Our dessert was excellent with mochi balls arranged in a block of dry ice and a dark chocolate lava cake with pear ice cream to die for. What lol definitely be back. Lovely place, music could have been softer but not an issue. Very impressive place with great ambience.
Located on the beach, it's a rarity to find cool dining places where you can eat to the sound of the waves rolling onshore. The food was overall tasty with nice presentation, though their fish and seafood dishes went over better than their meat dishes. We went on a cool, breezy night, which they seemed ready to handle with heaters and blankets, though they needed more heaters than they had to accommodate all the diners. The menu prices are surprisingly high given it's in Hallandale Beach (more like South Beach/Design District level - including the valet), but the ambiance, service and cuisine make it a chill destination for special events (birthday, anniversary), hot date, or a "girls" night out.
Upon arrival, service was extremely slow. The table was not dressed and we waited over 30
Minutes after being seated, to be served water. After speaking to the manager, I believe her name was Dascha, she made sure we received the best service. The food was great, the buffet was always fresh and replenished. The ambiance and view is beautiful. I would definitely return, probably with a smaller party.
We found ourselves asking for water many times as they wouldn’t refill often. Our waitress also wasn’t in our area most of the time and we couldn’t find her. We didn’t receive great service but it wasn’t terrible. It’s just frustrating to wait 10 minutes every time you want to ask for a minor thing. We didn’t order dessert because we didn’t wanna wait so long for her to come and take the order. She was nice but quite absent.
Everything was great, only bad thing is found a staple in the oysters. Was able to spit it out without cutting my mouth. Ruined an otherwise great experience.
Unfortunately, this time was the worst! I’ve been going to this restaurant ever since it as opened. I’m a regular client! Really don’t know what happened but I had the worst service ever, and I was ALONE! The server was very nice when I arrived. But after that everything went wrong! Ordered an appetizer took not long to have but Received my Entree was still eating my appetizer! Got my cocktail 45 min after I order amd ordered it at the beginning when I arrived. Had to ask for it while I was still eating my appetizer! No one ever came back to see if everything was fine ! Asked for water 2 times to a boss boy and waiter never got it! My plates stayed on my table finished ! No one took time out of my way while I finished my cocktail! Asked for the bill and even then the plates stayed there while I was paying. If it would of been the first time I had been there I would of never went back! Don’t know what happened that night but I hope won’t ever happen again , cause really love this place :). Please , the managers, make sure that you make a follow up on your staff cause i was not the only one unsatisfied that night , being alone I had plenty of time to see what was happening around me! Will be back but hope never to experience this again!
Our waitress had an attitude. When I asked her to please check on one of the missing or late dish that had the other 5 people waiting she LECTURED me saying the restaurant’s policy was to serve the food as soon as cooked and that was that, she didn’t have to check. I insisted she checked and she insisted she didn’t have to. I’m talking about a 20+ young woman talking to me a Senior Citizen Lady. I took it as a disrespect. And we still had to wait for the one late dish. If she has a problem with customers’s requests she should not be working there. By the way I’m a local resident, this was not our first time at this restaurant and our check was over $400.
poor service, music too loud.tables I didn't like it
Fantastic food and service. Extraordinary ocean front views.
We decided to go there to celebrate our son’s birthday. Since we already have been to Zuma a couple of times, we decided to try something different. The food option was terrible. You could choose among Sushi 1,2,3 and 4. Also you could get 4 type of Sashimis. Very disappointing with the option. Instead of focusing on free wines, they should offer more food options.
Service were very poor also. One waiter that belonged to another sector came many times to help and apologized. We ordered 4 hot plates, one for each person and mine and my daughter came 15 minutes after my wife and son without any explanation.
It is sad to say, but the experience was terrible and I don’t recommend it.
Good food reasonable prices good service
High quality ingredients, great venue, woefully inadequate service. Waiter didn't remember some of the things ordered. Didn't check on the table enough. Expensive tomahawk steak and filet came cold. Have had the same experience here several times, but it's close and Monkitail is booked so we keep falling into this trip. Because the service is so slow, an hour meal takes over two to get through.
I Reserve for outside but doesn’t have tables outside and we eat inside
Very small selection for the brunch
This place needs to lighten up and not be so full of themselves. We had multiple issues. God forbid the restaurant can take any responsibility. Seems I was always wrong.
Everyone was so rude and obnoxious that it can only come from management. The service needs to improve or the restaurant will implode.
Food not as good as it used to be. Sushi just ok no flavor. Dumplings just ok. Chicken and scallops were best dishes. We want you guys to be great. Did we change chefs?
Great Asian fusion, Japanese food served in a large open space that has a hip modern vibe. The prime rib and black cod were great choices. The portions are small so keep that in mind. The sushi was also good and tasty.
Service was slow that night. Not as great a dinner as our first visit. Will try again though and would recommend if you are in the area, not worth a long drive to go.
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. Happy hour was great and dinner exceeded our expectations. Our server was helpful, attentive and beyond knowledgeable about the menu.
Great location and ambiance with good value for the variety they offer. Ideal choice for a sunday brunch. Happy with the food but i think they need to upgrade their wine. The house wines were pretty bad
The dinner was awful.
First time we were here! Very impressive Service was excellent! Food was delicious and we will definitely be back!
The service was bad, 1 plate never came. A complete disaster, and they needed 40min just for the drinks.
I’m never coming again and I would never recommend this to anyone.
Simply great all over.
I’ve been there many many times . For the first time our Black cod was not good ! Tasted really bad. Told the server and without any question changed it and this one was very good! The service is always very good . Tried practically everything on the menu and everything is very good! The setting of this place is amazing . Next to the beach.
This was our second time dining at etaru. First time the service was atrocious but we decided to give it a second chance. This time around it was decent but not worth it overall. The interior seating was loud, crowded and Smokey(grill). Very nice outside seating but it’s limited. The food was good but there are plenty of better locations in the area.
The food was spectacular and very reasonable, given the quality. The one dark spot on the evening was how long it took for our last order to come out, dumplings. Other than that it was a really good place and I will return
Food was very tasty and the service was outstanding. Have to try their dumplings! Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to experience the outside ocean front seating. I am sure it is spectacular
They had to remake my salmon 3 times. It kept coming underdone!
Best place for a Sunday brunch! Especially when the weather is beautiful and you want to enjoy a day outside in front of the beach.
It was amazing, from the moment we got there till we left. It was great. The food was cooked so good, I’d go for seconds if I could.
Recently moved to the area and discovered this place. Second time dining (third try). First time was amazing. Interesting menu, really good food, excellent ambiance. We dined at an off time and had the place to ourselves.
Came back for brunch on the weekend and were turned away as walk ins weren’t available. That message was delivered with some attitude - but the place was jumping - oh well.
Back again at an off time, early for our reservation. Excited the place was empty. Were asked to “wait at the bar”. We must of looked at each other in a way that said “huh” because the hostess said never mind, and showed us to a table. Great ambiance, terrific service (thanks!), but the food didn’t impress this time. Overall felt like we were trying to get past the bouncer in to a nightclub late Saturday night, as opposed to an early dinner on the beach Sunday evening.
