   For the price that we spent there . There are plenty of better places that’s for my opinion just because they are ocean view does not impress me that much but to each their own

   Host was an absolute jerk. It was as if he could not be bothered- after having a terrible experience and walking out of JWB a few blocks away, I made a reservation 30 minutes before showing up. The host couldn’t find my reservation, and begrudgingly proceeded to “find us a table” amidst an array of open tables. He ended up seating us at an outdoor table in the wind. After waiting 10 minutes, we got up and left the restaurant. Will never return.

   Black Cod was fantastic. Other dishes were good but not so super as to be charging top end prices. Almost $100 per person (limited alcohol). Also, I HATE it when restaurants automatically apply a 20% service charge then recommend an additional 18-30% additional tip. Very cheeky.

   The food was delicious, but the service was not good. I didn’t feel valued as a guest. My meal didn’t come out with the rest of the table. Then, my son was missing part of his meal. Was quite a while until server followed up and seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. Weird. We did have lunch at the Beach Bar three days in a row - service there was outstanding.

   Excellent spot for beach side dining! The food was superb and the only thing that could have been better was if Mother Nature could have turned down the wind. But Etaru was prepared with great seating inside that felt like you were outside because they had big windows and sliding doors and the prettiest marine blue blankets for everyone who was feeling the cooler temps! Highly recommend!

   When you first walk in the host was extremely rude, has an attitude and makes you wait although there are tables open. Server with the man bun is too all over the place trying to be quick inattentive and messy. Gwen was the only nice decent server. Manbun never gave his name and took over 30 minutes just to get water. The chicken on the menu was RAW. literally not cooked in side pink and almost purple looking. Disgusting. Keylime pie was OK but messy presentation. After not being attended to for basically all night they had the audacity to put a 20% tip. I would give maybe 5% if anything. If not for Gwen we would have never gotten water, new utensils (since the ones on the table were dirty) manager had to put in our order… overall hot mess. Good service starts from the moment you walk in. The restaurant needs to Retrain the host and tell manbun that he needs to write the order down and to check in on tables. Overall everyone needs better training, need to care about their job & WANT to serve. Major improvements needs to be made

   The setting on the beach is beautiful. But you have to sit outdoors on the deck. Inside, the ambience drops from 5 Stars to 3. The hostess was darn right rude. Gwen the server was very good but she got the check wrong. If I had not checked I wouldn’t have known they had added two items we didn’t eat. The food quality and taste were mixed. The sushi and Japanese fried chicken were good. The burrata tasted sour. The edamame had sea salt that was not very salty. So, it’s a mixed bag. If it wasn’t for the setting and the ambience I would give it 3 stars rather than the 4 stars I gave.

    Entree took more than 1 hour. Waiter didn’t appraise of the delay.
