Asked the concierge at my upscale midtown hotel for a recommendation for fine dining AFTER a Broadway show ending at 10. Got this recommendation and made a 10:30 pm reservation on Open Table. Arrived 5 minutes BEFORE my reservation and was told the kitchen would be CLOSING in 10 minutes. Why in the world would any fine dining establishment take reservations knowing the kitchen would be closing in ten minutes? The waitstaff were polite enough, but basically shrugged their shoulders and gave me the “we’ll try to get you most of what you want” attitude. I don’t know about most people, but when I choose to go out to a restaurant and spend $500+ (and I have dined around the world in Michelin starred restaurants), I don’t expect to be rushed, begrudgingly agreeing to “try to bring dessert and “maybe I can get you a coffee” when I asked
(As it turned out, without asking my guests, the waiter brought ONLY me an espresso, ignoring my guests completely-never even asking them if they would care for something).
The food was delicious but quite simple, the presentation was mediocre, and the staff seemed tired and “put out” by having to serve us so late, as if I had done something wrong.
Had it not been a special occasion, I would have made a much bigger deal of all of this with the management.
Food was good but the overall experience was really diminished by the lack of attentive service. Very very disappointed.
This restaurant never disappoints with the quality of its food. However, lately the service is a bit spotty, and I attribute it to the fact that, while there are many waiters, there does not seem to be ONE dedicated to one's table. Different waiters stop by, or don't. We found the service to be slow, and were trying to get attention of any waiter three or four times during the meal. However, the place is grand in ambience, and the food (try the octopus!) always superb. Hope they get their service upgraded.
Outstanding food and dining outside was lots of fun
Love this place. Crazy expensive but the food and vibe are worth it.
Great place food and service, very Pricey
As I've written after each visit, put simply there is no better lunch offered in Manhattan. Handsome spot, food of the highest quality, skillfully prepared, superb, attentive service and a fine wine list To quibble just a bit, some of the supplements seem a tough high. But, who could ask for anything more?
Took 3.5 hours to have dinner. Couldn't find a waiter throughout dinner. Horrible service. Took 45 minutes to get appetizers. Couldn't order drinks. Massively understaffed.
Food was fare, very bland
service was ok, for the price charged, not worth it
Absolutely delicious food. I love Greek food and my mom recommended this place and it was amazing. The fish was incredibly fresh and everything was just so delicious. A definite splurge but worth the money!
Great service. But overpriced.
Happy to see the power dinner scene is back. Everything was excellent as always.
Service was not very attentive or timely. The som was super disrespectful because we didn’t go crazy on the wine and was not attentive or available. Feel like the service has really gone downhill.
Pandemic beater. Good food and atmosphere to escape long lock down.
Our server was bad. He didn't pay much attention to us. When he was at our table, he was looking other tables and his mind and attention was not with us. He didn't check on us at all, and coffee we ordered was very cold. he didn't bring a pen to sign the check so I used my own pen. When he came to pick up the signed copy of check, he took my pen! I called him to say it's mine but he didn't even hear me or turn his head back and just took off, so I let him have it since we didn't even want to talk this rude guy. I was with 2 of my clients and they were stunned by this kind of reputable establishment to have that kind of bad, rude server. Host/Greeters also didn't say good bye or thank you to us when we were leaving. Bad service overall but food was at least good.
Always the most incredible and fresh food. Always the best service!
Pre-theater dinner. Everything was wonderful. One small complaint was that my mother asked for a second Diet Coke when the entrees were brought out and they literally brought that when we were paying the check. Not sure how that one ball got dropped, but everything else was great. We wanted Greek food prior to seeing Wicked. Milos is only a few blocks from the theater, so we settled on this location and we’re very pleased with the food and ambiance.
Hostess was not friendly nor welcoming; was honestly rude. I wanted to leave the restaurant but thankfully I stayed because the table staff was amazing. Fried soft shell crab and sashimi were bomb. Grilled fish was soso.
Great food / great service/ always fantastic
Spectacular food, wine, and service, as always.
Intriguing menu, great wait staff, and unique interior.
Excellent altogether but overpriced. A 1.5 pound fish should not cost $250 even at Milos
Food, Beverage and the service were excellent. We are glad that you are back. The only thing is if you are seated out door you cane smell the outlet gas of the car’s passing by
One of the best dinners ever. Tried different excellent Greek wines. Amazing traditional desserts. Wonderful service. Adequate not overwhelming cost
Service was horrendous. Food came out overcooked. Like it definitely had been sitting under a heating lamp for some time. Server/waiter didn't even ask to refill drinks. One glass of water and one glass of wine. Never received items we ordered. Just an overall disappointing experience. This used to be a great go-to spot. Not anymore.
Fantastic space, great service, incredible food focusing on very special fresh seafood. Also very expensive - even for NYC. Wonderful dinner on the whole.
Muy buena experiencia
Wonderful lamb chops , grilled to perfection but too fatty and a Greek salad that meet all expectations but offset by extraordinarily bad service and a poor table . This set the tone of the evening . While This was not my first visit while in nyc , it will be my last, there are too many options in the city .
at least there are good locations of this restaurant in Vegas and Miami , and I will continue to frequent them.
Great service and delicious food.
Great food service was really good the atmosphere was so good and each one of our dishes were delicious
Everything was absolutely exquisite
The mushroom dish for starters is always excellent. And then grilled oh so good. I tried eel - served in a new way and just great!
Great food as always!
Amazing food, great service they go above and beyond to make your experience a remarkable ona.
It was delicious but so silly expensive it kind of takes away from the overall experience
food is alway superior ... and service was none obtrusive
Very disappointed. I have been to Milos many times and have mostly enjoyed, this experience will keep me from going back
Sat outside. Lovely seating. Service awful ( especially for a fine dining establishment) l and food a huge ripoff Not like it used to be.
overpriced for what it is and it feels like pre-pandemic "arent you lucky to be dining with us"
