The food was very tasty and well presented
The calamari was tender and tasty
The filet Mignon was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were just like my grandmothers cooking.
Being Greek I am a hard critic but this restaurant is the authentic Greek cuisine!
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Had a table on lower level! Quiet !! Amazing food and ambiance! Upper level very loud!
The tomato salad by itself maybe the finest salad on the east coast. the tower of eggplant and zucchini is, well about as good as it gets. Let them pick you out a greek wine and pick the fish and you have as fine of meal as to be had in NYC or Greece. Bravo
Met all of my expectations!
Fantastic...we’ll be back during next year’s Boatshow for sure!
Milos is one of the best restaurants ever! We can’t wait to go back next time we are in NYC!
Darn good. As good as it gets.
Went for Restaurant Week; as always, the service, the food and the care taken to presentation was sublime. While the noise level was high, it didn't detract from our absolutely wonderful meal or conversation. Strongly recommend, even with the prices being high!
Was Babe Ruth a good baseball player? Is LeBron great at basketball? Is Milos a great restaurant? Not a great Greek seafood restaurant, mind you, merely one of the top two or three truly superb restaurants In New York city of any type, this in a city with possibly the most diverse restaurant offerings anywhere in the world. That there's nothing in its category that remotely compares is really not open to question. It is consistently excellent, and dining here is always a memorable experience. I was fortunate to dine there on the day they opened, expanding their empire from Montreal, and they haven't lost a step. They're still hitting it out of the park, so don't miss it if you get the opportunity.
Went during restaurant week, was totally worth it. Great service and wonderful waiter.
We'll definitely place Milos in the rotation. Wonderful service and great food. Seating in area near Bar is a bit hectic tho.
Long wait for table, squeezed so close that you get to enjoy many table conversations around you. Front of house lacks customer service unless you are known to them. Bartenders are great and worth just getting drinks at the bar, but be careful when you get up, was you may end up bumping into dinner tables placed within 3ft of bar. There was even a 4 top placed few feet of main door where many guests stand while waiting for a table. They are savvy to market lunch only restaurant week menus, and have guests pay full price at dinner. Be careful and ready the menus closely. It’s midtown and full of tourists, expect high prices and quick turnover.
The venue is lovely and the staff attentive. It was a bait and switch.
I requested the red snapper for my fish. They charge by the pound and prepare your fish to order. I knew that in advance.
What I didn't appreciate was the lie. When I ordered red snapper, I was told they didn't have red snapper local or domestic. The waiter did offer a fish similiar to snapper that was Greek in origin. I explained that I like light flaky fish. He said this one was more dense flesh but a white flaky fish. So I agreed to take it.
Imagine my surprise, when after the bill was paid and the fish was $70/lbs coming to a little over $100. I went to the restroom, passed by the fish market presentation and there was red snapper available. It was there fresh and firm and marked $48/lb. It was surprising and disheartening.
We already had another problem with our bill. We ordered the Milos special (zucchini and eggplant) in a small, received it, but were charged for the large. The waiter mentioned that we ate a large, but ours was the same size as the small ordered by the single gentleman next to us. Plus, I specifically requested small when we ordered, so there would be no confusion, which sometimes happens with various sizes offered for appetizers.
It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to find the manager and edit the bill for the Milos special.
Both of those actions took a pleasant meal with good ambience and ruined it. I will not be back.
Suggestion: always go over to fish presentation to choose your fish and check your bill. A typical serving for 2 people should be about a pound and a half.
Fantastic! Had called asking for a quieter table for a business dinner and Milos could not have been more accommodating. Gave us a lovely glassed in room which happened to be available. Service was terrific, it’s a given that the fish selections and preparations were top notch, but the service and warmth will bring us back again sooner than later. Thank you Team Milos!!
Food was great!
Awesome lunch experience
One of our top favorite restaurants in NYC!! The food is so fresh and the service is impeccable!
Outstanding food from the first bite to the last lick of the spoon!
Food was delicious.
If applicable, be sure to ask for the pre-theater menu... it was not given to us with the regular menu.
One complaint: the wine selection by the glass is quite limited, almost exclusively Greek wines. There is no cocktail menu to see, and $19 for a vodka seems excessive.
Ottimo ristorante appuntamento fisso sia a New York che a Miami
This is one of the great spots in NY for wonderful and flavorful Greek food. The wine list is wonderful and the staff well trained and professional.
Everything was perfect! We love Milos!
Best restaurant in the world for highest quality, pure healthy food!!!
It's expensive and so what. We waste money on nonsense
Great vibe. Expensive
Very nice and different place. Food was top quality but also top price.
Quite simply wonderful fresh fish. Consistently for more than 20 years I have been going,
Only flaw is the noise level which can make conversation difficult.
you must review the noise the experience was great
As always, phenomenal
Phenomenal dining experience from start to finish. I can’t say enough great things about the food, service and ambiance. Can’t wait to come back to New York to dine here again!
Great meal; we sat at the bar and got great service from Christine!
Expensive and not worth it
Fantastic place for dinner if you like the busy excitement of NYC. Loud, but the food cannot be beat. Lavarki in salt was excellent, moist and done perfectly. Milos special pleased everyone at the table. The octopus was the favorite and the tomato salad was just the right amount for four. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good fish, a lighter meal, but beware, it is LOUD. Very, very loud. 100% worth the noise level to us!
Fantastic meal, our server (Peter) was terrific. We were lucky to be in a quieter area, place in general is not quiet for sure with big high ceilings and lots of glass and concrete, but the food is first rate. The grilled vegetables as a side to your favorite fish is a can’t miss. We will be going back —
Everything was beautiful and very fresh. Service was top notch. A lovely pre- theater meal.
Five-Star Service and fresh, delicious food!!! Always consistently great each time I have dined here.
After all the years Milos exists, it is still the best fish place in New York.
Website claims food, to be excellent, must be pure, clean, etc. That is an understatement. It is so difficult to find restaurants in the US that understand that quality is not determined by how many spices or sauces you pour on a food, but by the ability to exalt the food's elements. The dipping sauce for the fried calamari actually compliments its delicacy. The lamb chops were grilled to perfection.
It should be necessary to improve the noise level. It’s basically impossible to talk during the dinner...
