EPIC Steak Ratings and Reviews
They tried, but couldn’t time the opening of our wine with the appies or the drinks and the meal. Steak was overcooked to the point of dryness and they even messed up making my sundae after I filled out their card. Had to send back their attenpt at making a chocolate martini because it was so horrible. Great view but we were sadly underwhelmed and it was not an Epic birthday for my wife. I informed them Syrah of time to have a Birthday desert and they even messed that up. The server tried but could not overcome all the flaws.
Went to celebrate our engagement and it was perfect! The staff welcomed us attentively and made sure we were comfortable and taken care throughout the meal. We sat in the covered area next to the Bay Bridge and the views were incredible! Excellent experience will definitely be back next time we are in SF. Thank you Epic Steak!!
The overall experience was good, one thing I was disappointed was the attitude of the server. As international student me and my friends's english is not as good as native. Since we kind of could not understand the menu, and asked him ( I felt he was listless to explain compared with the way he explained to others) the server's way to talk to us and serve us totally changed.
The Bridge was great. The ambiance was great. Service was great.
But, food was average (( and really overpriced... my ribeye could be much better without “fat oil soup” on top of it...
One really tasty thing to remember is bread !!! With salt...simply delicious 👍
But butter seemed like margarine ((
Great choice of wines;) very expensive...
We took 8 people to dinner after asking some local dignitaries which steakhouse was San Francisco's best. They all recommended Epic Steak and we were not disappointed. We all had different steaks and each of us loved them. They came out perfectly cooked as per our orders. The side dishes were wonderful, as was the wine. Steaks just can't get any better!
Très bonne table avec des prix à la hauteur de la qualité comme d habitude à sf. Le 6oz filet suffit largement pour un plat principale ($46). La portion de 28oz est carement énorme (900gr) . La vue le soir est top et le service très pro et convuvial . A recommander ! Pas de parking attenant mais le quartier regorge de places dispo le soir.
Overall, a very nice experience. The food was tasty... it was well seasoned and served hot (I find that temperature is often a problem for even the finest restaurants).
However, I have a few recommendations to make the dining experience an outstanding one:
1) Butter warmers needed! No "reputable" restaurant that serves lobster should operate w/o them. Hot butter is a necessity to fully enjoy a lobster experience;
2) Provide enough portions of the side servings to share... We ordered the Julia Childs potatoes. While they were delicious, the serving size was just enough for one (I am not a huge eater, but thank goodness my hubby did not want more than a small spoonful);
3) Add blue cheese dressing to your list of options. The crumbles are nice, but dressing would be the "icing on the cake;" and finally,
4) Please ensure that your cocktails are served more than 3/4 full. The drinks are fairly pricey (I had the cucumber cocktail which was delicious); however, I felt a bit "shortchanged" due to the amount of open space that existed between my drinks and the top of the glasses they were served in.
The ambience was very good, with great views of the bay bridge. The service was very good from the bus boy, server, hostesses. Would definitely recommend if your going on a romantic date. The food was 3/5 for a top of the line steak house. Your not paying for great food but for great views and service.
Food and service as good as I remembered from 2013.....My only compliant is that we were seated in the outdoor lounge which had been enclosed with plastic sheeting and heating lamps. Main restaurant much better experience. Views of the Bay Bridge were wonderful.
We arrived 5 minutes early for our 7:45 reservation but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Our entree, the steak, came out at the same time as our salad and of course the server sent it back until we were finished with the salad. He brought back the same steak, which was no longer medium rare so we had to send it back, again. They left the sides at the table which were no longer hot by the time the steak came back. That was on us, we could have sent those back too. There were lots of apologies and our server was great but that's it. Now we can say we've been there and won't return. If I'm paying that much for a steak (which was delicious) there shouldn't be any problems.
