Food was just OK on this visit and I was hosting a friend on their first visit. On previous visits, the food has been outstanding. However, something was just completely off this time around. Potatoes were bland, filet was sold out and replaced with a rib eye, and there was hair in my dessert. So, yeah. I'll be back, but this one evening was just off.

Loved the view of the bridge, service was great. Steak was phenomenal. It was very loud however so we could not really enjoy a conversation with each other.

This steak house is beautiful, the service was amazing, our server (Asher) made sure we understood the menu and took the time even though he was busy to describe, compare, and give us spot on taste profiles, one of the managers helped bring our food to the table, which is important to me being that I am in that field as well and so often manager stay back in the office and leave the service up to their employees! My boyfriend absolutely LOVED his birthday dinner. We will be back!

If you are just wanting atmosphere this is your place but our steaks were dry and had big chunks of inedible fat. Sides were okay. Service was amazing

The view is beautiful and each member of the staff is welcoming and well trained. The food is excellent from the bread to salads to the amazing Tuscan porterhouse. Their version of baked Alaska is not to be missed. Highly recommended. This is my 4th visit and it is consistently great whether you are with 2 or 20.

We received a very warm welcome from Grace.
My husband received a birthday card and complimentary personalised dessert. Everyone we interacted with was extremely helpful, the view was beautiful and the food was excellent.

Epic Steak is a great location with great service. The outdoor patio was warm and sheltered with heat lamps and offered great views of the bay bridge. Unfortunately our steaks were undercooked and more on the rarer side rather than a medium we requested. However, we ended on a sweet note with the baked Alaska which was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend this dessert. I enjoyed epic steak and would go again!

Jose, our server, was wonderful. Kind, friendly, helpful, knew when to check in without being bothersome. What a waiter that smiles and isn’t snobby- HOW REFRESHING. Knew the menu well and made some great suggestions and timing was perfect. Epic, you have an epic waiter and as he the face of your company- he represents you very well. Hope you acknowledge him and celebrate!!

My lady and I were disappointed in the 14oz ribeye steak. We got it medium. It was very bland and not flavorful. Ate half of it bc I was hungry . $300 tab was not super happy . Service was great waiter was great but the steaks and Mac and cheese were a disappointment.

Excellent food and drinks with a great wine list. I had the petit fillet and my husband had the halibut. Both were spectacular. And the view of the bay was really lovely.

I had the small Japanese Wagyu ... very very good, quite tender, and cooked perfectly.
My wife had a New York steak ... also cooked to perfection (both were medium rare).

My starter was Lobster Bisque ... very nice.

The desserts were somewhat chocolate deficient, choice-wise, but our excellent waiter (tomas? from poland) helped and I ended up with house-made eggnog ice cream and vanilla icecream which were quite good. My wife had a coconut banana concoction of some kind ... except for the coconut cake (on the bottom ... I dislike coconut) it was excellent.

Service, view, food choice was excellent. I also had a very pleasant conversation with the manager (?) after dinner, about Wagyu vs. Kobe. He was quite knowledgeable.

We arrived 5 mins before our reservation time and the hostess told us to wait. After she lets 5 other tables in she realizes she forgot about us... I asked for one of their tables with a great view, but instead sat beside a building column... just that first experience with the hostess forgetting about the first customers that walked in threw the whole dinner off... other than that the food was great and a little pricey for the service you get. I don’t think we’ll be coming back due to their first impressions.

The best crab loui I have ever eaten! The skirt steak with the sauces melted in our mouths! Service was outstanding!!!! Atmosphere in the covered patio was beautiful!

The steak / ribeye was more gristle than expected. The pork chop came out with too much sauce to enjoy the meat flavor. And same with the wedge that had more extras and covered up what at least some like in a wedge, great service and great wine list.

My husband and I go to Epic every year for our anniversary and it’s EPIC!! We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is phenomenal and the service is great! Well also go throughout the year for work dinners and we still receive the same excellent service regardless if it’s a special occasion or not. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I'd planned a surprise gathering for a friend's 60th. Three of us were there early, so we went to the bar area. Limited seating, but timing was good as a couple of folks left about 5 minutes after we arrived. We each had a drink before our 6pm reservation. Two of the four surprise guests arrived before we made our way to the table. The last two arrived shortly after. Friend was wonderfully surprised. Yay!

Now on to the food. We started the shellfish indulgence platter appetizer ($AQ), consisting of crab, lobster, shrimp, oysters and ceviche. It includes sauces for each of the items, and it was all delicious! We also ordered the bread & butter ($6), which came with a flight of two butters and a delicious olive oil.

I had the wedge, which was the best I’ve had. The dressing had a smoothness to it I’ve not had with other wedge salads. And they replaced the usual bacon with prosciutto, and added seeds and nuts, which made it stand out. Others had the EPIC Caesar (good, but nothing special), the mushroom risotto (was delicious - we also shared a side order with the table), the lobster bisque (she cleaned her bowl), and the bruschetta (outstanding!).

For our mains, the birthday gal and I shared the porterhouse (definitely enough for 2), married couple shared the cote de boeuf (also enough for 2), another had the ribeye, another the salmon, and the 7th just had sides as she’s a vegetarian. Everyone was very satisfied with their mains. On the side we had spatzle gratin (basically mac & cheese), “Julia Child’s” potatoes, squash, the risotto, & brussels sprouts. Other than the sprouts (not bad, just not special), there was nothing left on the plates.

Dessert. We were all full, but we wanted to at least try a couple of items. So the 7 of us shared a baked Alaska and the winter citrus cake. I’d never had a baked Alaska; it was delicious! We all enjoyed it. The birthday gal particularly enjoyed the winter cake.

We would all go again.
