We had reservations for 8:15pm, ordered the truffled fries, seared sea scallops, and honey glazed salmon. Those last two are some of the most expensive menu items. By 9:30pm we had only gotten our fries. When the server came by to check on us she wasn’t even aware we hadn’t gotten 2/3rds of our order. Apparently it had been served to the incredibly large group of young adults directly behind us who seemed to know the servers or worked there themselves. We had such a nice spot with a view of the Capitol but the volume of the “Woo Girls” caused us to need to shout to hear each other. We got our food eventually and were offered a free dessert, but honestly the entire evening just went on way too long and we didn’t feel it was up to par with what you should expect from a nice downtown restaurant such as this.
Our server was wonderful. I cannot remember his name but he said he was relatively new. He suggested great things for our cheese board, kept our wine glasses filled, and explained all the dishes that came out. I love Eno Vino for special occasions. We went an hour before our reservation to have drinks at the bar. They were fantastic. Then we sat at our table right at the reservation time. It was a great anniversary all around! You definitely get what you pay for!
Good food and drinks, great atmosphere!
We have been coming to Eno Vino for 16 years and the menu seems to change at a slow process. We understand stand the current climate and things to be expected. Items we wanted were not available and my husband ordered a quartino(?) glass of wine and he confirmed it with the server. He received a glass of wine, not what he ordered and he did confirmed with the server that he didn’t get what he ordered. When we ordered our second dish, she stated that she would new plates and silverware, why she didn’t take the dirty at that time, not sure 😟. Our food arrived and we still had the dirty dishes and no new ones. The food runner had to get us new ones as our server was busy talking to another server. 😖
Sat outside - furniture cushions are filthy. Was informed of a 15% Covid fee on all checks prior to ordering, which is fine, but felt a bit nickel-dimey since any decent person will tip over the typical 20% in a pandemic. It ended up eating into the tip for the server. Server did a good job, so not their fault they didn't earn my typical 30% tip in a pandemic. Food was very mediocre for this establishment. Steaks were overcooked, mashed potato discs hard, etc. - just not fresh or awesome - mediocre. Drinks also mediocre. The location/views are good and saved the experience. Probably won't be back until after staffing and pandemic are not there to blame for sub-par experience.
We were so excited to come here .. the food was delicious… the service was not good at all .. we were accommodated by the restaurant which was very nice.. but service was very slow and we were actually surprised how thirsty we were and took such a long time to get our drinks re filled .. I would try it again because the food was so good .. just hope service will be better
Everything we got, from drinks, appetizers, and meals - even the desserts were excellent. Would go there again. Really nice
Great ambiance and cocktail but food wasn't up to the old standards.
Alyssa was our server on the terrace, she was amazing!
The appetizers and wine selection were great but the banana bread pudding was memorable!!
Wonderful setting in downtown Madison. Very active and vibrant for a Monday . The small plate and shareables that we had were excellent. It was noisy but it looked like everyone was having a great time. The view of the lit Capitol at night was spectacular.
Eno vino is a great place to take friends. Delicious food. Love the shared plates! Good service. And a magnificent view out the windows!
I took my daughter in law and her mom from Minnesota for dinner. Wanted them to experience the great food and the incredible view.
INCREDIBLE! Most beautiful fine dining restaurant in Madison. A must for special occasions and visitors.
Had a terrific dinner last night. Food was wonderful. Be sure to try the green beans, crispy lobster and sea bass with scallops.
A really nice downtown atmosphere and a solid wine list, better than at the West Side location. Food is good and unique. We weren’t outside but that’s a big bonus when weather permits.
Food, including Lobster, was delicious.
Lobster is very small, considering It is in Menu under “to share”.
Floor was sticky and table waggling.
Food is definitely good but takes forever! Even getting drinks took 30 minutes which is unacceptable for the price.
Fun experience but definitely not worth the price
Food was fantastic! It’s always great every time we go. It took staff about 15 minutes to come get us water. That has never happened the previous we had been. The food is always delicious
View of capital was great. Food was delivered very late with a quick sorry for the delay in getting this out. Prices high for level of food and service. Won’t return.
Service wonderful. Views amazing. Food great if a bit pricey.
What an exceptional experience and meal. I was in town with a few friends for the Penn State and Wisconsin football game and chose this restaurant based on the reviews that I read on Trip-Advisor and was not let down. Everything we chose from the menu was SO FLAVORFUL. Tops in my book were the green beans, chicken thighs, and calamari. The wine selection was outstanding as well. There was a beautiful view of the capitol building which was all lit up at night. It rained so we were not able to have the outdoor table we requested but they quickly seated us on a cozy couch area next to a beautiful gas/glass fireplace. Best food I have had in a long time! Will def be back.
outstanding Eno Vino Downtown & bartender Craig in lounge is spectacular !
Great server and food came out at a reasonable time.
Fantastic Views, great drink selections and very fun, robust menu of shareables...great place to go for a special evening or just because...
Wonderful restaurant with amazing view of Capital! Service was great. Most of the food was very good. My only beef with this place is it was shockingly expensive. $400 for 5 people. $500 total with tip. Not sure I can afford to come back.
The food is amazing but little overpriced.
The view of the downtown is very nice.
A wonderful evening at a unique restaurant with exquisite food, an amazing view of downtown Madison and the lakes. Excellent and attentive service!
Great venue and great view of the Wisconsin capital building. Tasty food and an interesting menu. They advertise as a Tapas style restaurant, but offer servings 2 to taste and others fit to feed one. One can't tell what is coming from the menu.
Overall, a very nice evening
We were in town for UGM and had a hard time finding reservations. We loved this place. Food was delicious and clever menu items. And of course great wine! Beautiful view. Good service. Definitely going back.
Take the elevator to the 10th floor. Make sure you walk down the steps to the 9th floor area and visit the balcony. This is a must, make sure to get reservations and if the weather is good, ask to be seated on the balcony. View of both lakes (lake Mendota and Lake Monona, and the Capital building). Price is high. Ladies, visit the ladies room on the 10th floor in the back. Floor to ceiling windows and the view is beautiful.
Had a group of six and tried a variety items from each section of the menu. Amazing as always!
Had a perfect view of the capital, waitstaff were attentive and helpful with suggestions. Food and cocktails were delicious! Lovely way to end the night of my daughters bachelorette party.
My husband and I haven't been out to dinner in 18 months due to Covid. We decided to take the step for our 20th wedding anniversary and decided that Eno Vino was worth it. We felt very safe and the servers wore masks and gloves which was reassuring. The food did not disappoint! While the truffle fries were just okay, the sea bass, scallops and flat iron steak were absolutely amazing. The specialty drinks were a wonderful compliment to the evening and the apple bread pudding was scrumptious! Our server was attentive and the timing of our courses was great. The view was beautiful at sunset as well. We noted in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary so it would have been nice for them to mention it but that wasn't necessary...just would have made this 5 stars across the board. The restaurant is louder than the west side location due to the open kitchen but we didn't mind. We would go back there in a minute!
We were seated at exactly the time of our reservation. We ordered a variety of small plates and the food was very good overall. The view of the Capitol was lovely. There was one drawback to our dining experience: this place is REALLY loud and I mean REALLY, REALLY loud. We couldn't have any conversations. If you want to talk with your fellow diners, this is not the place for you.
Subpar service all the way around, but the waitress gets a gold star for good pacing and pairing of the dishes.
Best women's restroom in Madison....I appreciate that attention to detail!
Perfect venue for a celebration dinner with an amazing view of the Capitol. Every dish we tried was excellent, and so many wonderful vegetarian options for a mixed party.
