The service was great and the view amazing, but the food was ok and definitely not worth what we paid for it.
First time, but won't be my last. Was greeted with excellent service by a server you can tell truly cares about your experience. Made recommendations for what we might enjoy/best "bang for our buck". Sampled bruschetta (larger portions than expected), truffle fries and chipotle/honey-glazed salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection. Complimented the food with a brandy old fashioned, which was one of the best I've had in a while!
They lied to us 3 times, said the outside patio was closed, it wasn’t. Did not have the table I requested. When asked if we could sit by the bar, said we couldn’t, very stupid people who work there.
. The view is great. Food and drinks are also was outstanding.
Fun vibes…great waiter…Jared!
First date night out in over 18 months and Eno Vino did not disappoint. Rob, our server, was amazing, chill and super helpful. Food was incredibly balanced and perfect sharable size. Wine selection was high end yet not pretentious or overwhelming. Easy dining experience without the fuss. Outdoor seating is always a plus!
Wonderful food and excellent service! Great view of the Capitol! Highly recommend!
We were seated for 30 min and never had a server come by-they served all tables around us, but we were invisible.
The food and service were outstanding, but the portions were very small and unbelievably expensive.
We went with our son and wife for my birthday. The food was very good. We had a beautiful window view of the capital. Our waitress was very nice and also very efficient bringing us our nine different dishes. Her timing was perfect. I have already recommended Eno Vino to friends.
Went to Eno Vino for an anniversary dinner and had an amazing time in every sense of the word. The view, food, and atmosphere were all spectacular! We will be going back in the future and would highly recommend to friends :)
We had a wonderful meal! Service was outstanding. We will be back next month!
Food and service excellent. Just had not seen a Covid surcharge before.
I was very disappointed that the string beans can no longer be lit on fire for the ambience. That was a talking point when I told my friends about this particular location. We spend around $600 and were not offered any bread like in the past. There were 9 of us assigned to one waitress who was scarce but we understand she was busy so that wasn't her fault. I have had better experience at this location but overall it was ok.
We had reservations for 8:15pm, ordered the truffled fries, seared sea scallops, and honey glazed salmon. Those last two are some of the most expensive menu items. By 9:30pm we had only gotten our fries. When the server came by to check on us she wasn’t even aware we hadn’t gotten 2/3rds of our order. Apparently it had been served to the incredibly large group of young adults directly behind us who seemed to know the servers or worked there themselves. We had such a nice spot with a view of the Capitol but the volume of the “Woo Girls” caused us to need to shout to hear each other. We got our food eventually and were offered a free dessert, but honestly the entire evening just went on way too long and we didn’t feel it was up to par with what you should expect from a nice downtown restaurant such as this.
Our server was wonderful. I cannot remember his name but he said he was relatively new. He suggested great things for our cheese board, kept our wine glasses filled, and explained all the dishes that came out. I love Eno Vino for special occasions. We went an hour before our reservation to have drinks at the bar. They were fantastic. Then we sat at our table right at the reservation time. It was a great anniversary all around! You definitely get what you pay for!
Good food and drinks, great atmosphere!
We have been coming to Eno Vino for 16 years and the menu seems to change at a slow process. We understand stand the current climate and things to be expected. Items we wanted were not available and my husband ordered a quartino(?) glass of wine and he confirmed it with the server. He received a glass of wine, not what he ordered and he did confirmed with the server that he didn’t get what he ordered. When we ordered our second dish, she stated that she would new plates and silverware, why she didn’t take the dirty at that time, not sure 😟. Our food arrived and we still had the dirty dishes and no new ones. The food runner had to get us new ones as our server was busy talking to another server. 😖
Sat outside - furniture cushions are filthy. Was informed of a 15% Covid fee on all checks prior to ordering, which is fine, but felt a bit nickel-dimey since any decent person will tip over the typical 20% in a pandemic. It ended up eating into the tip for the server. Server did a good job, so not their fault they didn't earn my typical 30% tip in a pandemic. Food was very mediocre for this establishment. Steaks were overcooked, mashed potato discs hard, etc. - just not fresh or awesome - mediocre. Drinks also mediocre. The location/views are good and saved the experience. Probably won't be back until after staffing and pandemic are not there to blame for sub-par experience.
We were so excited to come here .. the food was delicious… the service was not good at all .. we were accommodated by the restaurant which was very nice.. but service was very slow and we were actually surprised how thirsty we were and took such a long time to get our drinks re filled .. I would try it again because the food was so good .. just hope service will be better
Everything we got, from drinks, appetizers, and meals - even the desserts were excellent. Would go there again. Really nice
Great ambiance and cocktail but food wasn't up to the old standards.
Alyssa was our server on the terrace, she was amazing!
The appetizers and wine selection were great but the banana bread pudding was memorable!!
Wonderful setting in downtown Madison. Very active and vibrant for a Monday . The small plate and shareables that we had were excellent. It was noisy but it looked like everyone was having a great time. The view of the lit Capitol at night was spectacular.
Eno vino is a great place to take friends. Delicious food. Love the shared plates! Good service. And a magnificent view out the windows!
I took my daughter in law and her mom from Minnesota for dinner. Wanted them to experience the great food and the incredible view.
INCREDIBLE! Most beautiful fine dining restaurant in Madison. A must for special occasions and visitors.
Had a terrific dinner last night. Food was wonderful. Be sure to try the green beans, crispy lobster and sea bass with scallops.
A really nice downtown atmosphere and a solid wine list, better than at the West Side location. Food is good and unique. We weren’t outside but that’s a big bonus when weather permits.
Food, including Lobster, was delicious.
Lobster is very small, considering It is in Menu under “to share”.
Floor was sticky and table waggling.
Food is definitely good but takes forever! Even getting drinks took 30 minutes which is unacceptable for the price.
Fun experience but definitely not worth the price
Food was fantastic! It’s always great every time we go. It took staff about 15 minutes to come get us water. That has never happened the previous we had been. The food is always delicious
View of capital was great. Food was delivered very late with a quick sorry for the delay in getting this out. Prices high for level of food and service. Won’t return.
Service wonderful. Views amazing. Food great if a bit pricey.
What an exceptional experience and meal. I was in town with a few friends for the Penn State and Wisconsin football game and chose this restaurant based on the reviews that I read on Trip-Advisor and was not let down. Everything we chose from the menu was SO FLAVORFUL. Tops in my book were the green beans, chicken thighs, and calamari. The wine selection was outstanding as well. There was a beautiful view of the capitol building which was all lit up at night. It rained so we were not able to have the outdoor table we requested but they quickly seated us on a cozy couch area next to a beautiful gas/glass fireplace. Best food I have had in a long time! Will def be back.
outstanding Eno Vino Downtown & bartender Craig in lounge is spectacular !
Great server and food came out at a reasonable time.
