B&B Butchers & Restaurant - Houston
Food was delicious. Staff was attentive. Great night.
Emmaline is a great restaurant with lovely food and a great ambiance. Highly recommended for date nights, birthdays, groups etc.
Celebrated our two year anniversary tonight and it was a wonderful experience! The owner and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel very special! We highly recommend this place for any occasion! We will be going back very soon and bringing all our friends! Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
This was the first visit for our party of 4, and we loved the diverse menu, the ambiance and all of our food choices (salmon, pork chop, burger and mushroom ravioli) were delicious. I already have plans to return with my girlfriends.
It was so great; I went there twice fir my weekend birthday celebrations!! All my guests loved it & will return!!! Thank you for making it special!!
W got our table fairly quickly and we did have reservations. I went to sit on the table and I got Gunk all over my hands somebody must have spilled coffee and it wasn't cleaned up. I never received a new napkin to replace the one that I had to place on the floor when I saw there was more there. We ordered brunch so was eggs I feel a little pricey but okay. We both specifically said for his eggs to not be runny. Well my boyfriend basically had egg soup with for tiny little slices of steak. When you go to Toulouse restaurant and you said steak and eggs you get a big old steak not the case here. When we made the comment about the eggs there wasn't even an apology. Not going there again unless I only hit the bar because of the wonderful ambience.
Eric and the entire team at Emmalines' are wonderful. The food is outstanding and the service is second to none.
When 3 of us say she wanted to take our drink order and we asked her to hold up. Burger was ordered medium and was well done. The beef sandwich had a lot of gristle. Mussels were great and the drinks are nice. Our server was attentive and personable.
Birthday celebration. Food was incredible. Service pretty good. Waitstaff was new. Unclear of certain things on menu but she was transparent. Id return in s heartbeat
I always enjoy the beautiful ambience of Emmaline. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is phenomenal.
First time there.
all good except there was a long delay getting the food out of the kitchen. The server was fine. My guess was the kitchen must have been out of stock on something.
amazing brunch! One of our favorites in Houston...
The restaurant itself was nice. However, the food was mediocre and parking was a nightmare. They only have valet and the valet line was ridiculous.
I love this place, especially for weekend brunch. I'm still waiting to see the pancakes on the menu again.
We had reservation for 7:30pm, arrived 20min earlier...we were greeted by the hostess as we told that we are little early for our 7:30 reservation and don’t mind to wait at bar while sampling few cocktails... the hostess told us they will notify us then our table is ready. We sat were almost an hour at the bar having drinks while waiting for our table. at that time period we saw about 5 empty tables also restaurant didn’t seem that busy for that evening... I must say there were only one more person besides us at the bar so it was impossible to not see us ... not once in almost an hour period hostess acknowledged us about our reservation or when/why our table us not ready...
I waa a bit disappointed that everyone' vegetables were cold. The drinks were delicious and desserts were phenomenal
Great ambiance; food was good to okay depending on the dish. Waitress forgot to put in the appetizers ordered and failed to mention since there was not drinkable water available - we would need to buy bottles of water ($6 each) for the water we ordered.
I'd recommend this place for drinks & cool ambiance.
We visited on a Tuesday and it was pretty empty which was good as far as the noise level. The service was good. Food was delicious although as a celiac I remembered why I don’t go often. Their gluten free options are extremely limited. Our server was fabulous and it was a lovely experience.
Very pretty welcoming restaurant. Outside and upstairs patios are lovely. The burger and Sammy sandwich were very good. The accompanying French fries very delicious. Service was outstanding - warm and friendly.
Awesome brunch, would visit again!
Fabulous spot just a bit noisy
Went for brunch and it was delicious. Tried the scones (came with butter and the most amazing lemon curd), oysters, tuna tartare, asparagus starters - all were deckhouse. I had the lobster benedict and it was fabulous! Definitely a great brunch spot with top notch food.
Good food and excellent service. Would highly recommend.
The food was a little under par with the experience. But the place is beautiful and worth a visit just for the aesthetic beauty.
Had a great meal and a great bottle o wine. I will be back & am looking forward to it.
We loved the booths! Intimate and quieter. The food and service were exceptional. The ambiance was warm, and the staff friendly. The menu selections had something for everyone.
$17.00 hamburger needs some improvement !!!
The food was bland and uninspired. The restaurant was almost empty, now I know why.
The ambiance at Emmaline is fantastic and the staff is friendly. I have always had great meals here with friends and family. Be prepared with a few bucks to tip the valet drivers. Valet parking itself is free and this allows them to fit more vehicles in their limited parking space.
My favorites here are the Breakfast Pizza and the Lobster Benedict. I usually come for Brunch if the food didn’t give it away. This is a great place to get boozy with your friends and have a classy good time.
This last time I ate there, my group ran into a few issues with our meals, but I’ll tell you what, we were treated right. No one tried to hide anything, the waitstaff were honest, the manager spoke to us, and everything was made right. No one is perfect and it is how an establishment deals with adversity that speaks loudly to me about their customer service values.
I’ll be back to Emmaline and I will suggest the restaurant to everyone I know. If you’re reading this review, take my advice and book. Don’t forget to bring a few bucks for the valets!
Brunch was delightful and everyone enjoyed it- esp guest from California
The entire brunch experience was delightful, our server Holly was great, her presentation and delivery were crisp, pleasant and professional. One of the better dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. We will be back often.
Emmaline is a gorgeous restaurant nestled in trendy Montrose. The food is Italian/French-inspired Americana and well-executed. My partner and I were celebrating our third Valentines together, and looking forward to a relaxing evening where we could revel in each other's company. We are doing long-distance right now while I'm in grad school and before she starts med school. We haven't had a chance to indulge in great food in maybe close to a year even though we are big foodies. The service and food was excellent throughout the evening, even after a small snafu with the timing between an appetizer and entrees. Our only criticism was the nonstop bustling around us during our meal. We also did not love how the restaurant was very obviously shutting down (dishes clanging, floors being cleaned, etc) while we were finishing our meal. I work in the food business, so I get wanting to get out of the restaurant, but I would recommend to the restaurant that they anticipate late diners (especially when they have late reservations) and have them seated in a secluded area to be shielded from the main area clean up while they enjoy their dinner. My partner and I felt like an imposition for nearly half of our meal and rushed dessert because we felt so conspicuous.
My girlfriend broke up with me mid dinner :( she said it was all the restaurants fault!!! How could you
Entrees were really terrible and we were overall disappointed but especially at this price point. We ate at this restaurant about a year ago and enjoyed it; this experience was the opposite.
Exceptional bar staff. Drinks were great. Had the special squid ink linguine w lobster. Exceptional dish. Will definitely return.
From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. We had the burrata salad, oysters, and white fish crudo. The oysters were incredibly good, perhaps the best ones I have ever eaten in the south. The crudo was delicious, had jalapeños, pineapple, etc. light yet full of flavour. The burrata was fantastic, we have become used to american burrata, this one was fresh, if only had been a bit more liquid it would have been perfect, still good nonetheless. We had two drinks as well, an old fashioned and a mule. Both drinks were exquisite. To finish it off we had the funghi agnolotti and the special of the day the cazuela. The seafood cazuela had mussels, clams, and white fish. It was really good. I had to ask for bread so i could have more of the broth. Really good. The agnolotti was surprising, I am not a fan of ordering italian food, im used to make my own fresh pasta from gnocchi, to bucatini and tagliatelle, this one was pretty good. Definitely a treat to have. All in all was good. To finish it, the manager came by and asked us about the meal and then about desert. At this point we had had more than enough, but the manager decided to treat us with their panacota. The panacota was the best one I have ever eaten so far, I thought Michaels in Miami was the best, I was so wrong! We are coming back for brunch.
This place is definitely not in the affordable places here in Houston. Like buying a Toyota Corolla and expecting Mercedes quality. You pay for what you get for. One of our favorites.
They rushed us and brought the entree out when we were not even halfway done with the apps. Made us order dessert up front when we were ordering everything which made it feel rushed. Was Valentine’s Day. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Best Valentine's day dinner I've ever had, and I've had man
