Third visit to Ember. First two times were absolutely amazing. This time was a bit underwhelming. Joe was a good waiter, though didn’t go out of his way to acknowledge the special occasion. I’m sure I’ll be back but $200 feels like a lot to spend on two meals that are just “pretty good.” Still love trying new things and will continue to recommend to anyone visiting.
Food was cold and lacked taste.
Food looked pretty but that was all. Walked in at 6pm to a dead restaurant and got turned away. Walked out, made a reservation and walked right back in and got seated. Not worth the money. Highly recommend to skip.
Very friendly staff.
We always enjoy the food. However none of the food was hot-all was tepid.
The service was EXCEPTIONALLY slow. The “wagyu” was tough, stringy and had an inch of fat on it. We made the server aware of a severe nut allergy - we were careful what we ordered and specifically asked if there were nuts in the cod and yet they brought the cod to our table with almonds on it. It was a horrible experience and we’ll never go back.
Arguably the best restaurant in Breckenridge. Reservations are a must!
Excellent Scallop appetizer, delicious Black Cod entree, but slightly disappointing Buffalo steak entree (chewy and tough). Great wine list, top notch cocktails. One of our favorite places in Breck!
My favorite place in Breckinridge. Unique flavor that sometimes seems like odd combos but ends up so delicious. Definitely worth it.
Each dish was an explosion of flavors we would not have thought to put together! The buffalo soup was AMAZING! We didn't feel rushed - it was a perfect evening.
Had a wonderful time. Cody and Jacob were amazing. Will definitely be back to our new favorite Breckenridge eatery.
Enjoyed our dinner here. Service staff was very attentive even busy. Food was good.
Relaxing, friendly, out-of-the box thinking. We seldom eat out & Embers is a big reason - nothing within 1.5 hour drive from our house comes anywhere close to the service or taste. We save our special nights for Embers.
Awesome meal and ambiance! Jacob was the best!
Delicious food. Lovely presentation. Very accommodating for gluten and dairy free folks. Very friendly staff. Owner/chef Scott is the best
Fabulous. Wonderful selection of flavor choices and combinations. Fully supported our gluten free guest. Left feeling complete and satisfied.
Absolutely fantastic food! I have never tasted anything so spectacular. And the service was beyond. Thank you!
Overall great experience. Only knocked off one star on service and ambience bc when it got busy our empty glasses were left till the end of the meal. And there was a large louder group that that made the mood in the restaurant not as nice as it was when we started the meal.
Outstanding food, super knowledgeable server about every element and aspect of food and its preparation. This is our seventh year in a row coming to Ember
Some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth. This place was nothing less than amazing. The food was creative and, most importantly, delicious. At a great value for a high end restaurant, I must add. The wine list had an option for everyone. Would recommend to anyone staying in Breckinridge.
Way over priced!!!
Definitely check this place out!
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. We really enjoyed the prix fixe menu. There was a large party upstairs which was pretty loud, and that was our only real complaint. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Excellent dinner and cocktails. Very original menu. Our server, Kevin, and the host worked hard to make sure everything was perfect.
Great meal, wonderful atmosphere and staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. One diner has celiac's and is able to safely eat here, gluten-free menu available, all staff very accommodating with dietary needs. Food is excellent, as always. It's hard to choose from so many tasty options. Definitely a go-to place in Breckenridge, we will be back.
The food was so different and delicious. Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu.
Wonderful food and service. The attention to detail makes each dish exceptional . Thanks for a wonderful meal !
It was top notch! The food was extremely thoughtful and creative, the service was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, the recommended wine wonderful, and the ambiance one to remember.
We were looking forward to going back. We had been there three years before and we were blown away by the food from Chef Scott. This time we found some changes: 1. fixed menu (2 items$50, 3 items $60)...a little tooo much....in my opinion. There was also wedding going on inside the restaurant. So we only had outside seating. OK by us, but clearly the wedding required more attention than expected. The waiters did their best to do double duty....but you expect more from this kind of experience. So would we go back...at those prices probably not. The food was indeed good and unique...but we left underserved and overcharged. Hope this is taken as constructive comments....they are meant to be.
This was our second visit to Ember awhile vacationing in Breckenridge for a week. This time we were totally pleased. The service (Eli) was great, the food was wonderful and the wine was outstanding.
We can highly recommend Ember for a great dinner.
The chef/owner is doing an amazing job! Under-priced for the beautifully presented, delicious, complex, unique food being served.
My wife and I had a dinner reservation for a Saturday night. We received the requested outdoor table.
Ember right now only does two course or three course dinners for $50 or $60 respectively. For the high quality appetizers and main dishes they offer the price is acceptable.
My wife had the soup du jour and I had the duck breast as appetizers. They were wonderful. So were our main dishes Buffalo and Wagyu steak.
The wine service was somewhat disappointing. We had to ask for the bottle of wine that we ordered first. It eventually arrived after we were half way done with our appetizers.
Our server Joseph was nice and friendly, but seemed to be stretched too thin.
We will return for another dinner in a couple of days.
Creative dishes. Incredibly delicious food. Easily a "top 5 meal" for us foodies!! We are coming back! Thank you Chef Scott, Jacob and Cody.
Like most places in mountain towns; highly overpriced with average food.
Interiors is a bit like an Asian brothel.
Great time and great food! Can’t go wrong here!
We weren’t aware of the pre fixe menu coming in, so maybe that is on us. Not a lot of options for special diets like gluten free or vegetarian and we weren’t asked if we had any allergies or dietary requirements, which I think is essential with a limited menu. Food was good. Small portions. Definitely a foodie spot. Not for the picky.
Lovely outdoor setting. Attentive servers. Beautiful presentation. So so to bad food. Ordered the 3 course meal. Had the duck appetizer. It was ok but parts of it were too salty and parts not seasoned at all. (There is a lot going on with all of their dishes, visually and in terms of multiple flavor ways. For the most part, it just did not work. I tasted my husband’s dishes (scallops and steak) and they were not good either. Steak was fatty and bland and scallops had the same sour sauce as my dish) Ordered the cod for my main dish and it was not good . It had a lobster ramen. Lobster was not fresh and ramen was weirdly sour (fermented maybe but just not tasty). So many great restaurants in Breck. I will definitely not eat here again.
Fixed price menu was a disappointment. Pork tenderloin, was billed by the waiter as having been flown in from Europe. Apparently it was on the plane to long, because it was dry and rather tasteless. The accompaniments were unimaginative and nothing special considering the $50 price point. The best part of the meal was the wine.
Save your money ... the spectacular reviews must be from pandemic starved tourists desperate to self justify an oversized expenditure for dinner.
Ember was a nice dining experience. The atmosphere was intimate with music to match, the drinks were made well and our service was outstanding ( Max was our Server). The menu is creative but the portions are fairly small however this is perfect if you want to share multiple selections with the table. Finally the flavors are much more subtle than the beautiful presentations would lead you to believe, maybe even just a bit under seasoned. Overall I would recommend Ember.
Fabulous!!! Simply, unequivocally fabulous!! Perfection detail in every dish. Plating is beautiful, taste and textures blend miraculously. Service impeccable. Will return tomorrow. It’s that good.
