   We have excellent experiences on previous occasions. This experience was mediocre to poor in all respects. The Food and presentation was below expectations. The service was simply poor. The Waitress was dower, at best. Future decisions will be made accordingly.

   Food was delicious! Pappardelle bolognese was sooooo good! I saw some other reviews with differing opinions so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we thought it was great.

   Fantastic dining experience at Ellera last night for a birthday dinner for our adult daughter. There were 7 of us, so we ordered family style and shared everything! From the apps, to the pasta, and main entrees ,.. each were fabulous! Freshest ingredients and delicious flavors throughout! And we saved just enough room for the house Tiramisu and the out of this world Panna Cotta!! Make sure you end up w the house limoncello!!

   Been waiting to try this restaurant and had high hopes it would compare to any of the dozens and dozens of excellent Italian restaurants I have eaten in over the years. Unfortunately not. This is the 5th resturant in this location in the past 16 years. We have tried them all and watched them come and go. The last few really disappointed so we waited to try this one for that reason. Sorry to say It will be our one and only visit. We were 4 people for dinner - and only 1 out of the 4 of us liked our meal and we love Italian food! The atmosphere was pretty and a nice change from the previous restaurants in this location (except for the crying child that echoed through the restaurant) Food: Our eggplant appetizer to start was good and so was the Ceasar salad …the bread people raved about in other reviews that you get charged for us is really just pre-made random sliced breads ??? Confusing as I expected it to be amazing fresh made warm Italian bread especially if your going to charge for it. The olive oil served with the bread is super small and ridiculous that 4 people would share such a tiny thing of oil. We love pasta and seafood but did not love these dishes. My husband and our guest both said their lobster pasta dish was tasteless and they only ate 1/2 of their meal (very unusual for both). The Bolognese pasta and Salmon dish were Ok but not great, way below expectations for the $$$, and again went 1/2 finished. Fine Dining, which at these prices, this restaurant puts them selves in is suppose to an experience, or should be and this just isn’t. The drinks from the bar everyone did enjoyed and said they were really good but not why we came nor will we go back for. So over all I recommend you spend your evening or special occasion and $$$ at any of the other restaurants in the area : Plate by D’ZINTRA, Shore, Cafe Blue, Carve or Jack Allen’s - unfortunately none of them are Italian and we so desperately need an Italian resturant in the area.

   Higher end restaurant / feel but the overall service from hostess to server was below average. Didn’t see a manager at all during the time we were there who should stop by to check in. Server appeared to be over burdened based on lack of overall attentiveness. If the intent of management / owner is to be average, they nailed it.

    On line menu was different from actual menu. Was disappointed not to be able to get the grilled romaine Cesar salad. Service was great! Rigatoni with Brussels was delicious!

    The food was excellent, but the service was sub-par! I almost didn't want to write a review though because they admitted that they are extremely short staffed because half of their servers put in their 2 weeks notice. But I wanted to warn other diners before heading to Ellera. We will not be going back.

    Very pricey but the food was delicious! The pasta portions were great. We got the lobster pasta, ground beef pasta, and octopus appetizer. All A+! Our waitress was also super nice, would definitely come back with family!

    The restaurant is visually appealing and modern in appearance. The staff is friendly but inexperienced. I had high hopes. The menu reads delectable, but each dish was just almost well presented and just almost seasoned right… the beef tartare was delicious, but plopped in a bowl and the tuna crudo was beautiful but under-seasoned and underwhelming. The gnocchi was okay- overcooked. The lamb was room temperature and lacked seasoning and tang. The filet was small and again room temperature. The bread was $5. Extra. Blah. Bummer

    The grilled Caesar was excellent and such a large portion it should be split. Everything was going great, but our pasta dishes were not very good, served Luke warm, bland, too much noodle and not enough sauce, this was true of the Bolognese and the Lobster pasta. The salmon main was not hot enough and just average. Drinks, wine, price, service all good. Desserts ok but nothing special. So, close but need to up their game for their claims. Only well received entree amongst six of us was the scallops, that dish was excellent!

    There's nothing else like Ellera in the area! The quality of ingredients, the lovely atmosphere, the attention to detail, the wonderful servers and staff...it has become our go-to place for an elegant evening out. Thank you for giving us such a lovely experience time after time!

    This was our first time there, and we had the Valentine's day menu. We both had Chateaubriand. It was amazing. I have had Chateaubriand before at some very high end restaurants in the Los Angeles, CA area that were not as good. Ellera's Chateaubriand was both buttery and flavorful. But, I have to say the entire meal was well presented, well prepared, flavorful and overall wonderful. I intend to go back and I highly recommend Ellera. We have also been to the Garden at Ellera, the outdoor portion of the restaurant. Much less formal, but very good and very fun.

    The restaurant is cute with excellent service! The lobster bisque, Caesar salad and artisan bread were fire! My husband enjoyed his filet and my mushroom risotto was just ok to be honest. Over all it was nice.

    First time dining here on a Sunday night. We were almost the only ones there and opted to sit at the bar. Service was average. The bartender was friendly and helpful, but a bit green on the menu. She did bring another server in to assist with menu questions. They definitely steered us to particular items, two of which we ordered. The wine list was pretty good (but font was tiny). The first wine selection we chose was not available so we had to reassess and found a more expensive bottle. The roasted carrot salad they suggested was very good. Only it came out ice cold and would have been so much better if warm. The bread they brought out was also cold. The bolognese, which they highly touted, unfortunately fell flat. The house made pasta was thick, heavy, and dense and the sauce lacked salt and was bland. The linguine with clams (dried pasta, not in house) was very good. The light sauce was well absorbed by the pasta and was seasoned perfectly. At exactly 7:55 as we were finishing up the entrees, we asked about dessert and the bartender told us the kitchen had closed at 7:55 and we couldn't order anything else. Some advance notice would have been appreciated as I would never have anticipated a kitchen closing so early with guests in the midst of dinner. Not that we need them to stay open for an empty restaurant, but the server could easily have asked us earlier if we were interested in dessert. So the meal ended on a disappointing note.

    1st time to dine here. Husband chose the lamb entree which came out cold including the sides, so perhaps it got forgotten while another entree was getting prepared. This got sent back and returned warmer for med-rare. My entree, the braised beef ribs over polenta was perfect. Mgmt made up the less than perfect lamb dinner by offering a comp dessert; which was nice. We'll go back for another try.

    Overall it was a good experience. Our server was great. It was very nice not walking into a NY Eve reso being rushed or them being slammed. We live in much different times. Food was just ok, if it would have been hotter then it would have been great. Starting off with the octopus and the compressed eggplant. Octopus was cooked perfectly, potatoes were nice and crispy, the biggest issue was the dish was luke warm. Compressed eggplant, same thing, great execution and flavor, dish was just luke warm, and unfortunately there was no arugula. Lets move on to the entrees, we had the Scallops and the Lobster pasta. Scallops were good, they had a nice sear on them, wish they had a little more caramelization but were cooked nicely and not overcooked. Was looking for a few capers in the dish, but they must have forgotten them. Same as the appetizers food was just luke warm. Overall dish had nice flavor and was well composed. Lobster pasta was just ok, I expected a little more depth when it came to the overall flavor of the dish. There really wasn't any lobster bisque, minimum tomato if any and there was no mascarpone in the dish at all. Lobster was cooked nicely but once again dish was luke warm at best and lacking depth and complexity in the dish. This was our least favorite dish of the night. For dessert we had the Panna Cotta. It was ok, was kind of surprised that it was served with a fork and not a spoon. Conceptually it was a good idea, just lacked a few finer details in the execution. For the butternut squash it would have been nice if it was roasted with a touch of cinnamon sugar as they were lacking flavor and depth. The pepitas were a nice touch for texture and crunch. It was a nice New Years Eve dinner but I am not running back wanted to give it a second try quite yet.

    We dined at Ellera with a group of seven. The service was excellent, but the food was really the highlight of the evening. We tried the scallops, several pasta dishes, and the lamb all were perfectly cooked.

    Caesar salad was disappointing— a romaine heart with a squirt of a thick dressing underneath and some shredded cheese. Chocolate cake was dry. Food was served lukewarm, not hot. Ravioli and cocktails were delicious.
