Ellera brings high quality Italian food and drinks that I've not seen in the Austin area. Starting with my drink: I had the Little Italy, which included Cynar, an ingredient I hadn't tried before. My wife had the Amalfi Martini with house-made Limoncello. We both loved our drinks. Also just getting started, the variety bread basket included another eye-catching new flavor: squid ink bread with golden raisins. Served with a thick olive oil perfect for dipping, we enjoyed all of the bread, and the one I mentioned was incredible. We shared several other dishes that evening, with our favorite being the Barolo braised short ribs. It's a little on the expensive side, but worth every bit of it. Can't wait to go back.
Great cocktail menu and food was good. Would probably sit outside next time
Great place! Adding it to our rotation and will be back. DeShaun did a great job serving us.
A new and very pleasant Italian restaurant in Bee Cave. A limited menu but it did contain a few interesting options.
The eggplant squares were nicely cooked with a flavorful red sauce, the pasta Bolognese was good but not as fully flavored as expected.
We’ll definitely return for another dinner soon.
Food was fantastic....service was perfect.....this is a Italian place and they charge you $5 to have bread...ridiculous...pasta comes with some kind of bread....and no water unless you are willing to pay $4..... yes that’s right regular water costs $4.....very very pricey.....will go back just because the food and service was so good, but only for specials occasions....
Over all just a decent meal. The eggplant appetizer was great but needed to be served hotter... maybe a warmed plate. The pear salad had really wonderful flavor but lacked enough of the signature ingredient. Both seafood pasta dishes we tried were underwhelming... not off or bad but light on flavor and seasoning. It’s early days for this place so still hoping it will settle in and we will certainly give another try.
I wrote a lengthy review on their site that can be summarized by simply stating this was one of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences my wife and I have had anywhere!
Hi Richard, thank you so much for your kind words, we really appreciate your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!
Our server was young lacked experience and wasn't trained properly.
Ambiance doesn't match the food and price point.
Food was good but not great. Never really saw or had a manager visit our table to check how our service was.
We have been 3 times to the Ellera Garden and this our first time to Ellera itself. Service was outstanding and the food was even better. This was the first weekend after their soft opening last week and they hit it out of the park! Congrats and we are glad you are here! We will be back!
Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you visit us again soon.
Wow! Good job, guys! Compliments to the Chef! Appetizers were amazing! Lamb chops and short rib...excellent!! Just don’t change! Keep up with the good food! I found consistency is the hardest one for all restaurants around here.... And I’m coming back...today...to make sure you can make the same amazing meal again!
Thank you so much for your review! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon.
This new place in Bee Cave is fabulous! We started with the Salmon appetizer, my husband had the short ribs and I the lamb chops. Everything was delicious and beautiful. Cocktails were superb. Service top notch. Dessert for us was lemon cake, also delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the salads and pasta!
Very good find on Open Table. Big restaurants with 2 offerings. Authentic Italian cooking, rather than heavy cheesed and creamed Texan Italian. Good staff, great wine by the glass selection, loved getting a glass of Taittinger Champagne from Champagne.....will be back, James!
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and look forward to having you back again soon!
We wanted to give this new restaurant a chance and after only being open for 3 days, it did not disappoint. A few glitches because of me being gluten free, but the Chef was very accommodating which was appreciated. That makes for a good restaurant when the Chef will go beyond the call of duty. It was a little loud, but most of these new trendy restaurants are like that. Not a place for a quiet romantic meal. But our server was extra nice and very attentive. Definitely will go back. Bee Cave needed another upscale restaurant and this one met our expectations.
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback and look forward to creating a better experience for you the next time you visit.
Outstanding pappardelle, lamb chops and lobster bisque. Excellent cocktails. We’ll be back soon.
The food here is top notch. We dined here for New Year’s Eve, but this was our first time since the official opening. Eggplant appetizer, chicken and lamb main courses were all fantastic. Our waiter was super attentive and the timing of the meal was just right. We are so glad to have upscale Italian food so close by!
Hi Dave, thank you so much for your review, we are so glad that you enjoyed your experience and look forward to having you back again soon!
I expected a fine dining atmosphere, but it felt more like a cafe. Very sterile and cold, white walls with marble top tables and the most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in. We were a family of four, 2 of the meals were great and my salad was great. However, I ordered the TAGLIATELLE ALL’ASTICE and the egg noodles looked like they were glued together in a glob and the flavor was not appealing. My son tried to order the beef filet med-well and was told that the chef "respected the meat" and it could not be prepared beyond med-rare. I believe in respecting the customer and serving meat at the temp the customer wants. Lastly, the red wine I ordered was nice until I took the last sip without really looking in the glass and I got a mouthful of sediment, very unpleasant! I realize red wine has some sediment in the bottom of the bottle, but the person pouring the wine should have noticed the sediment and NOT poured it into the glass. I was very excited about the opening of this restaurant as it replaced a wonderful Italian (Rocco's) restaurant that had been in the area for years, to say I was disappointed is a huge understatement. We dine out about twice a week, but I will not return to a place that insist I eat MY meat at the temp preferred by anyone but me.

Food and service were fantastic. Tables a little too close together for Covid
Hi Mary! Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and will definitely take this into consideration so that we can create a safe atmosphere for our guests. We look forward to having you back again soon!
