This was a special dinner with my son and husband while on a long weekend ski trip. Superb wine list but by the glass charge started at $18 - I paid $25. Highly recommend the Caesar salad and onion soup au gratin. Elk and filet was excellent But unfortunately the medium rare was very, very rare and I had to send mine back. Then it was cooked medium well! Do not recommend the cheesy mash potatoes - were they were glutinous snd sticky.

Excellent food, okay service. The management made up for the less than perfect service. Also, the kids' meals are a bit steep at $25 each. Other than that, it was perfect!

We had not been to Elk Prime since this past summer. It was really good. Service atmosphere always great. Felt like tables were spread out and social distancing was followed.

The food was great as was the staff! My wife and I sat at the bar and had an amazing time. The bourbon selection is awesome. Weller special reserve is their well bourbon if that tells you anything.

The wagyu ribeye, Buffalo raviolis, drinks, and the service were all amazing!

Great experience from arrival to service to food. It was a memorable night for a dinner in CB.

Huge fan of Prime and a regular patron. Fantastic steaks, great wine list, great atmosphere. Prime is awesome for a special occasion, or reserve a seat at the bar for a casual week-night steak and glass of wine.

Had an excellent meal of the lamb chop (highly recommend!) and buffalo steak with salads and potatoes au gratin shared between two people. Food was outstanding, and the restaurant is doing an excellent job in distancing and maintaining level of service despite the pandemic. If you want to treat yourself to some excellent steak and/or local meats, this is a must while in Crested Butte.

The food was outstanding. Elk Prime holds its own against any steakhouse anywhere in the US.

Great service even during COVID. Food was awesome. Bar was a bit understaffed and could only make drinks on the menu. I would have liked a traditional Whiskey Sour, but they couldn't accommodate me which was a bit frustrating on a $600 meal. However, other than that one issue everything was outstanding.

This is definitely the most expensive restaurant in Crested Butte, but it does have a very nice atmosphere, and the service is good. I would prefer to see more options for seafood and healthy vegetables (not laden with calories). No good cocktails to choose from. Usually a restaurant like this also has a better wine selection. Definitely don't like that New Years Eve dinner is fixed and is $200 per person. Not worth it. The good thing is you can make reservations, which you cannot do at a lot of restaurants in Crested Butte. So if you want a sure time for dinner and don't mind the expense, try it out.

Best restaurant in Crested Butte. The food was a 10. The owners and staff are fantastic and the wine list rivals any big city steakhouse.

The hostesses can be a bit unfriendly, but the rest of the staff is fantastic!

I don’t usually get excited about steak houses. But Prime was excellent! Worth the expense- delicious meal, terrific service and friendly owner/staff.

So glad we picked Elk Ave on our trip! The service / our server Katie was fantastic and the ambiance is warm and relaxing. LOVED the foie gras, so delicious. Steaks were top notch. Recommend for a nice night out in Crested Butte.

We visit this restaurant each time we are in town. It is excellent. Food is great, drinks are amazing and service is awesome.

Very disappointed in the quality of the courses and amount spent for NYE reservation. Regret spending our last meal and night here. The service was good.

We made reservations for New Years Eve. $400 per couple not including drinks! We expected a great dinner but instead each person was given one bite or taste of each course. So if you like one bite of caviar and goose liver or pâté you were happy but if you expected steak at a steak restaurant you were disappointed like I was. By the time we left our bill for 4 was over $1100! No New Years decorations; just very expensive and we all left hungry!
