Extraordinary service, very professionell
Food was excellent. We will come back soon.
The ambience and service was great but the food was not that great. The duck was dry on the duck and waffles.the kids grilled cheese and quesadillas was not kid friendly and not tasty.
Disappointing. Arrived 15 minutes early and was seated no problem which was nice. The menu was appealing although our placemats were dirty which took away our appetite. We ordered our food soon after being seated. It took 45 minutes to soup, salad and a sandwich.
We went here while visiting on a girlfriends trip. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. We enjoyed it so much, we returned the following night and added tiramisu for desert. It was outstanding. After a day of summer sightseeing we were tired and just wanted a glass of wine and light dinner. We ordered the famous kale salad and added protein... staff was most accommodating and friendly
Food good though average fair. Lunch menu, but portions versus pricing poor. Understand high tourist location, but inadequate portion sizes even for lunch. This made pricing high for meal received. I am local and know many of Charleston restaurants. Eli's though recommended for people visiting did not meet expectations. Not one we will visit again and even though might recommend with conditions, have many places to recommend above it.
The service was very good, but we were seated outside and there were a few rats running around.
Great atmosphere and food is delicious we loved the shrimp and grits
Very friendly greeting. Seated right away. Impeccable service. Great food. Made for a terrific anniversary dinner.
Menu had many options. The food was delicious and the service was great
Nate and Austin-fabulous servers, cheif Billy's halibut creation was fabulous. Do go with the specials and sit outside when possible. This is coming from a foodie that eats often in Charleston.
Best place in Charleston for breakfast. Very creative menu including eggs Benedict variations. The sweet potato pancakes we amazing too.
The food was amazing; my girlfriend got the fried green tomatoes, while I got the shrimp and pancakes. Our server, although I can’t remember his name, was helpful in guiding us through the menu, as we made a decision on each dish, along with the cocktails we ordered. Their team made it a joy to be there, as it happened to be her Birthday, by surprising us with champagne & a dessert cake, on the house, and just being so cheerful and patient with us. We’ll definitely be back for more.
Just delicious, with terrific service.
Consistent, quiet, and close to the downtown area away from all the ruckus. Great Mahi special night I was there for a business meal.
I met old friends from Virginia there and they were truly impressed with my favorite fine dining restaurant in Charleston! We sat on the patio for brunch and a pitcher of fantastic Bellinis.
Not impressed, the food was not worth the high cost and there were flies flying everywhere outside at our table. We had to cover water drinks with napkins. For the price of the food, I excepted higher quality vibes.
Met up with an old college friend and our wives. The food, service and friendly staff made it even more fun
Service slow .sent back a steak and it I finished my dinner before my husbands steak came back. They took it off the bill. Would not go back.
A true hidden gem in Charleston. Walking distance from the market area, great service with incredible presentation. Delicious entrees, vibrant bar and designed where you can present in nice shorts or coat and tie. I had the shrimp and grits, which was awesome while my colleague had scallops. Both were perfect. Will definitely be returning to when in Charleston.
Food was great, service was good too! Great location
Not my best experience here. Food came out cold and was likely because the server left it or forgot about it. All other tables received food before us. Even those that arrived way after us. And she was very forgetful. This place is usually very good so maybe just a bad experience. That said, I’ll rethink going back.
Absolutely delicious breakfast in historic downtown Charleston. They accept reservations- a real plus! Interior is simple, staff very attentive, and the food.....my husband claims his was the best breakfast he’s ever eaten. Fried oyster eggs Benedict with Tasso gravy. Excellent coffee and iced tea. Sweet potato pancakes are amazing too. We will definitely be back soon.
The Fried Green Tomato appetizer was delicious. The scallop entree’s presentation was as wonderful as the meal.
Great old fashioned southern breakfast spot!
Absolutely delicious food! Everything we ordered was perfection! Hidden gem of Charleston for sure!
We reserved a table here for our Anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect, quiet and cozy. The service was spectacular. The meal was excellent and the drinks were wonderful. Highly recommended!
Being a tourist town I didn’t expect great service. The service here was terrific very personal and first class
Great in every respect
Great staff, friendly and professional. Food is extraordinary, first time and I will be back the next time I am in Charleston.
Seated us nearest the kitchen before the restaurant filled for the dinner hour. Menu limited. Salad portions small, like the appetizer. Graciously split what sounded like a large meal into two small plates. Left unsatisfied.
I’ve eaten here several times before and have always enjoyed it. Salmon and crab cakes are both great.
Great food, excellent service. We sat on the back patio which was extremely quiet and romantic. The Bacon Bloody Mary is a must. We really enjoyed the overall experience. A must see place for breakfast when in Charleston.
My chicken and waffles were AMAZING! excellent kids choices as well! Perfect lunch spot!
The people working here are very nice, but the service was slow at times & the food was only pretty good. We had breakfast, and my bacon was at room temperature. It had a good flavor, but I like my bacon hot, or at least warm. My eggs were fine. My dining partner got the crab cakes, which had too much bread in them for our tastes. We would not dine here again. Instead, I’d try Toast, which is just down from Eli’s. There was a crowd waiting to get in when we passed, and the menu looked good.
The restaurant was moderately busy. We were seated quickly, but told our server was "new" and we were his first table. He was "shadowed" by another server who later apologized as we sat waiting to be asked about either coffee or desert for over 10-15 minutes after we had completed the rather small entrees. Noting my irritation we received an even more irritating apology. The prices were top of the market ($81.03 for two small entries plus club soda). The options for appetizers were uninteresting and we never saw or heard about a desert menu. I would not return.
Server was a little bit spacey but the food was great.
First time in Charleston. We celebrated my birthday and Father’s Day. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants so far. Wine selection is fabulous and the food was over-the-top
A Charleston dinning must!!! The patio is so quaint and the staff is excellent in every way. The shrimp and grits are wonderful.
