Came back because I enjoyed in the past. We had crab cakes and very dissatisfied no crab - all breadcrumb. And it was dirty, tables and floor. Will no longer recommend. The waitress was pleasant though.

Great location on Meeting St. Nice and clean when you walk in with a friendly greeting by staff. Varied selection on menu. Wonderful presentation with food and so fresh and delicious! I definitely will return and would have no problem highly recommending it to anyone!

What a great restaurant. The staff obviously like each other and their patrons. The food was delicious. We had the fig and prosciutto appetizer and as appetizers should be, it was a wow. My wife had the shrimp and grits. She loves shrimp and grits and has had them all over South Carolina. This was as good as it gets. Very smoky flavor, grits were creamy and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I had the vegetarian risotto. WOW! Nine different mushroom varieties permeate the dish but don't overpower it. Large portions so I was able to have it for lunch the next day. The staff were exceptionally engaging and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Although the TG holiday may have contributed to the small number of diners, there was nothing we would have improved upon - a terrific meal, friendly and efficient service, and reasonable prices. Certainly will return !

The best restaurant I have been to in a long time! Everything from the fried green tomato’s to the shrimp and grits to the beignets to our chef:server (Raymond) to the live music was exceptional. All around 5 stars! I can’t wait to go back!

Food was ok but atmosphere was only fair. Take a look up at the ceiling- it needs to be renovated soon. Very dimly lit place. People used their phone light to glance at the menu. This place needs upgrades and/or better management.

My wife celebrate our anniversary in Charleston every year and brunch at Eli's after church on Sunday is always on our list. The food is always perfectly cooked. The server was professional as well as friendly, but not overly. She was there when we needed her and not interrupting us. We just think this is the place to be for anything special, and aren't all meals with loved ones special? I think so. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

Good was very good! Most of our issues had to do with a forgetful server, who always the rectified the issue (better late than never I guess?) and what felt like just rushed carelessness. My first drink came out with a hair in it but the server quickly replaced it with a brand new one. We had to ask the server 3 times for a spoon for the soup, which was then cold by the time we received it, but he did also bring us a smaller fresh cup. They also unfortunately had run out of shrimp, at 7:15pm…on a Saturday. Which was a major bummer as many of their dishes are shrimp dishes. Over all a good experience just some minor hiccups along the way. Would likely go back though!

The service was very slow. Although waitress was lovely. They had none of the rosé on then menu we were offered another at the same price - fine, then we asked for another bottle - they had to put on ice because it was hot….more waiting. A fella that works there was over friendly and flirty. Our main entrees (fish)were good but salty and the fondu cheese was soupy and chicken dry. Unfortunate and disappointing 60th birthday dinner.

Food was great, was surprised that it was dead when we got there, but people started piling in before long. Ordered a moscow mule and it wasn’t great, espresso martini was good though. Our food was great.

Ya and our guests who had not dined here before also enjoyed it. If looking for a complaint I would say they were a little heave on the amount of salad dressing.

The food was expensive for what was served. I ordered shrimp and grits and I am pretty sure they were fresh, as they should be here. The asparagus was woody, the Brussel sprouts were ok, and a bit cold. The fish was a very very small serving size for $54 dollars, which was pretty outrageous and we weren't sure if it was cooked enough. Everything else was overcooked with the fish. It was ok,it has pretty drinks and a nice atmosphere. We skipped dessert.

Not the best experience. My friend was so excited to take me here because she enjoyed visiting this restaurant a few years ago but my chicken was terribly dry. Honestly tasted like it was reheated from the dinner service the night before. It was that bad. The risotto was great. My old fashioned was also awful… tasted of sugar & extremely watered down bourbon. It was my first time in Charleston and was very close to the Mills House hotel but I don’t plan to return.

The final looks of our plates showed that we enjoyed our food immensely! Our only regret is that we didn’t eat there both nights while visiting Charleston. Speaker volume of music was louder than we liked. Waitstaff quite green.

Shrimp & Grits were very good Grilled ham & brie with fried green tomato on croissant was Ok, not exceptional Beignets were very good but messy with the powdered sugar. The mixed berry coulis complemented the beignets well. We planned to take 1/2 of the eight small beignets home but they somehow all disappeared at the table Our server was pleasant and efficient

Very disappointed. The food was overpriced for the quality. It was a special occasion gone bad. The server did not know the menu, some of the food was cold(vegetables).

The scallops and risotto’s flavors all worked together to create quite the perfect entree. We booked the outside, but when we were being seated there was an event in the alley way which killed any ambiance. The hostess was able to move us to the inside dining area which was nice. I would definitely go there again.

Our server did a poor job our cocktails were waiting at the bar too long we had to remind our server that we ordered soup our server didn’t have the answers to our questions nor did they ask the chef The food was average. Not served as requested such a shame

We had a salad with chicken for a light lunch. The food was good, the server was very good. The hostess was not friendly. She told us a seat on the patio would be available in about 10 minutes and then ignored us while we stood waiting just outside and seated another party. When we walked up to her, she did not acknowledge that we had been waiting. Her attitude took away from our experience at the restaurant.

Wow what a great way to end our trip! Started with a greeting outside- we were early and the staff was just finishing up a wedding party. No worries, just give us a few and we’ll get your table set up. Lovely front table with a great view! Amazing cocktails, had the fried green tomatoes, risotto, and filet. We absolutely LOVED it! What’s more our server was from the same town as we were in NJ!!! Trevor was a fantastic server!! He was fun, attentive and just the BEST! It was a group effort there - all the waitstaff was working together. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will return!!!

The food was excellent. Service was sad. After waiting 20 min., we stopped the Hostess as she was passing, to request water. She got us a server. The server was a server in training. She took our order, and brought Entree, Wine, Soup, and Appetizer all at the same time and placed it on a very small crowded table. I used every threat and cajole I know to keep my companion from going ballistic. The food was excellent. Friends from Atlanta have recommended Eli's. We of course will be more guarded. I can recommend the food, but not the service.
