An established Authentic Thai restaurant for over 20 years, One of the first in East London that offers authentic thai cuisine experience with a sibling in Docklands. The restaurant has a Polynesian Bar at the front and then open plan dinning as you cross over the bridge of Japanese Koi Carps. We are open everyday and caters for cooperate functions; providing excellent value during Business and Sunday Buffet lunch. The restaurant is very conveniently located to the main roads and very close to Gants Hill station on the central line with live music every Friday and Saturday.

plentiful menu - all beautifully set-out, tasty with good choice for vegetarian, lovely atmosphere, decor - loved the fish ( in the pond), only criticism is that it isn't cheap - but happy to pay for the quality of the place and the food, impressive cocktail menu and ice-cream choice (accommodated my 4 scoop request!)

Had been meaning to dine at Elephant Royale for a little while now given that it is the only restaurant in Gant's Hill that one can book via TT. Quite impressive looking from the outside and upon entry there is an interesting layout inside with defined sections of tables, some of which are slightly elevated. We ate very early on a Sat night, however it did fill up quickly post 7:30pm and as a result were unlucky to have missed out on the keyboard player although. Service was slightly unfriendly especially upon entry but warmed up only marginally as the evening progressed. Overall, solid Thai fare especially for the area. The mixed starter sharing platter was excellent and the mains of red duck curry and prawn pad thai were good.

what a great place the setting was lovely great place for a get together and a family gathering the food had great taste and flavour the good thing is there was lots of choice to choose from

Food is great, the massaman lamb curry amazing. But the service is not great. At the start we just got the impression we were being rushed to order. Then at the end we paid bill and at the exit got called back in as the waiter had forgotten to bill us for the ice cream. He then added service charge to the ice cream! We'd spent £100 plus and all for £4.20 we were left with a bad taste. There is little concept of servive, we would go back for the good, that is ptobably why modt others do too.

There is an extensive selection of delicious and authentic Thai soups, starters, salads, mains and desserts in the reasonably priced buffet. Caters for large groups and children welcome. The staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere and decor enhance an enjoyable dining experience. Recent improvements in the menu are noted in the increased choice of seafood dishes. Highly recommended.

i heard good things about this place but when we went on a Sunday for their buffet the food seemed like it had been there all day..we did go around 2pm so maybe it was bad time? also by the time it came for desserts most of the nice stuff had gone and they were packing up however staff were lovely and the deco of the restaurant is gorgeous just shame about the food which we felt was not authentic but the vermicelli salad was very nice as well as some of the desserts we tried
