Element Ratings and Reviews
Our first time at Element and we really enjoyed it. The food was so wonderful, I felt like the ingredients were of high quality. Our server was really great too. He asked about items in the kitchen for us(there was a radish looking item that I wanted to know what it was and where to get some!!....turns out it was a watermelon radish...never heard of such a thing!) After dinner we went upstairs to the lounge- where all the cool kids hang out! We had a overall really nice time.
The only issue was there was a table beside us of 4 women who were drinking and were a little too loud for me. They sort of hindered my dining experience a little. I was glad when they finally left!
We will definitely be back, but we will request a booth next time!!
Four of us went to dinner at Element Friday night. (We are a 50ish crowd) It was our first experience at this restaurant.
The bar and restaurant are on two different floors which keeps the noise level very comfortable in the restaurant for talking. We had a drink in the lounge before dinner and if the weather had been cooperating their outdoor rooftop seating would have been a spectacular way to start out the evening. The house wine choices were good and reasonably priced. They also have a wine list for the more discriminating palate. (The corking fee is $20...if they would eliminate that fee or lower that price I believe they would see more business. We keep quite a bit of good wine in our house and always enjoy bringing our own bottle :) )
The decor is rustic modern with a cozy feel. We were seated right next to the open kitchen area where you can watch the chefs at work. I usually enjoy watching but sometimes the smells from the kitchen at work were a little much..but not too much to spoil the evening. I would just choose to sit a little further away from the production on our next visit.
We all chose the Halibut and it was delish! The portion was just the right size for me.
The dessert we shared was the gooey butter pumpkin cake!!!!!!!!
I can't quite get it off my mind. Soooooo good.
We will definitely return for another lovely evening at Element especially in the spring so that we can give their magical rooftop lounge area a try.
The element restaurant has been an amazing place to eat . What is so impressive about this place is the atmosphere and the people . The service is excellent and all meal is well presented and so delicious. I took my sister there for her birthday and all our guests had a great time . I will highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an excellent place to celebrate . Thank you
We were lucky enough to sit on the roof on a beautiful fall evening in St. Louis. Everything was top notch, the servers friendly and helpful (but not intrusive), and the vegetarians in our group were as pleased as the omnivores! Don't miss the Brussels sprouts or the aracini...and definitely don't miss the peanut butter pie!
Love this place...
Outstandingly good from start to finish. We sat on the roof at sunset and had a beautiful view of the city. The drinks were delicious and well-made. We chose the "leave it up to us" tasting menu and were completely blown away by all 5 courses. Our waiter, Eric, was attentive to our every need. Wet could not be happier with our experience and will be coming back again.
Our server could not have been better. We ate outside and the views were lovely. We thought the prices were very reasonable. I am a vegan and usually the vegan options are not that tasty and have way too much butter or too oily, but we tried quite a few vegan sides
and they were all above average. Our favorite was the acorn squash salad although that seemed more like a side dish. I would go back just for that.
We were looking forward to spending the evening at Element but it was so much more than we anticipated.
Went with a good friend, and we both ended up getting an entree each and splitting a starter (special: tortellini, broth was unbelievable) and a side (crispy yummy Brussels sprouts). My chicken with savory bread pudding and romesco was delicious, skin was very crispy and chicken was moist. My friend enjoyed her steak, was cooked perfectly to her preferences. The rooftop patio was very cute, and service was great. I enjoyed my time.
Element gave us a very good meal. Not at the highest level, but aspiring towards it. The lamb shank I had was quite good, perhaps a bit dryer than optimal. My wife's trout was good, although one of our dining companions did not care for it at all. Desserts were good. I will go back happily.
We were visiting Louisville for a weekend and decided to try Element as a destination restaurant as we were staying downtown. We could not have been more pleased! It was a beautiful night so we sat outside on their large second floor terrace and enjoyed cocktails, creatively prepared dinners, and dessert. Our service Joshua was excellent and took the time to explain the specials, assist with our cocktail and wine selection and just make the overall evening a wonderful experience. We look forward to another Element dinner with our next visit to St. Louis.
Our first visit and wow were we impressed! Different size plates but all shareable - we ordered too much but it was all so good we ate every bite!! Loved everything about this place. Will definitely add this to our list of regular spots and highly recommend. We didn't check out the lounge because we had tickets to Peabody (which was super easy to get to in 5 minutes. Didn't realize it was in same building as rock climbing - so awesome to watch. I imagine groups of friends climbing then having dinner on the patio.
Again, Element is my favorite restaurant. Not only is it close to my home, but the servers are wonderful and kind. Oh yes, and the food! It is ALWAYS delicious. So here's to another wonderful experience in my very favorite place....and I got to introduce new friends this time as well.
