   They must have been a new chef because the dish I ordered was not as tasty as it has been the past few times I’ve ordered it and my husband‘s dish had undercooked fish

   Always excellent and friendly service, always some unique items on the menu that are well worth trying, and very well-made cocktails. For a hotel based restaurant and bar far exceeds expectations every time I visit. Definitely worth trying.

   Eldr & Ryme is a good restaurant. They have a carefully curated menu. A very nice spacious restaurant (though quite noise due to the materials used) and a good location with plenty of easy parking. Three of us enjoyed a meal there recently and the service was very good to excellent and the meals overall very good Drinks: a bit pricier than other places but the selection offered is high quality (wine) and interesting (cocktails). Appetizers: only had the Brussel sprouts (a side) as an appetizer. Good size bowl showed up but was disappointing when most of the bowl were loose leaves and not sprout halves. The flavors were good but in the end it felt more like a salad than a side. Mains: I had the schnitzel. Huge. Ended up being two meals. It’s not quite authentic as it was a breaded pork cutlet (i.e. breadcrumbs versus a more batter-like coating that would rise), versus a true schnitzel crust. Tasty nonetheless. Came with some greens in a lemon dressing. The salmon was excellent and my companion said she’d definitely get that again. The third main was fish and chips (it was a Friday night). Also excellent. The oil must have been fresh as the taste of the fish was clean and not oily. Properly battered and fried to the right color. In a nutshell all the dishes were very good. Service: excellent. We just beat the rush on a holiday weekend. Our drinks were taken and delivered promptly and we were able to order when we were ready with no waiting (and also no pushing to get an order in). The restaurant did fill rapidly but we never and an empty water glass or dirty dish sit despite our server being very busy after us. They did have a floor person to assist which I thought was quite smart. This part of the experience was top notch. Dessert: great crème brûlée and a proper espresso. Nice end to the night. Highly recommended if you are ok with a curated menu. Limited but nice choices for appetizers, salads and mains. Well done.

   The food was surprisingly excellent. The Salmon Lox appetizer was wonderful and creative with fried capers! The shrimp cocktail was large and had pickled red onions on top…..delicious!!!!!! I would definitely try this place for dinner. We just had lunch. Also the value was very good.

   I was able to stay at the Renaissance Hotel with my friend for the first time and went on a date at Eldr+Rime for dinner, I would say it was the best experience. We ordered the Oysters on the half shell, Salmon Lox and the Duck fried rice and it was the best! Our server was the sweetest, we were seating near the bar that night and she accomodated us really well (especially her smile). We'll surely comeback!
