   I would recommend ElVino to friends. The booze is good, the food is fine and the ambience was very good as it was near Christmas. However the service was inattentive as it took us ages to get served despite only a few diners being in. Worst of all by far was the fact that our booking wasn’t in the booking book, due to Open Table not updating the restaurant. This is totally unacceptable. So would I recommend El Vino, yes. Would I ever use Open Table again, absolutely not unless something changes and I will let others know to do the same.

   Really good vegetarian mezze. Really good lunchtime getaway with the team. We could hear each other. Service was quick. An overall great experience.

   The minute we walked in we encountered problems as they said that even though we booked the restaurant through OpenTable, they do not recognise the booking and they told us that they don’t have a partnership with OpenTable...Waiters weren’t friendly, it was a business lunch and we only had 1 hour to spare, the food didn’t come until after 45 minutes after we ordered, and that was due to us chasing constantly for the food... we had to eat quickly in about 10 minutes all the dishes and was very disorganised even though there weren’t many customers, it was pretty empty. Overall, we had a bad experience and I looked bad for booking such an average restaurant, we weren’t pleased about it and I’d never invite business contacts there again.

    If you want some drinks and talk with your friends, it would be a good choice, but if you want a quite environment and tasty food for dinner, you may consider somewhere else.

    Service was fast and wonderful but, unfortunately, food was quite disappointing. The octopus was chewy and flavourless and so was the pork and chicken. Overall it was OK but I would not recommend it for lunch.

    Very much a City 'watering hole' which does a bit of food as well. We weren't exactly expecting full-on Spanish tapas, but it was a bit sous-vide Brakes-style standard fare. Nothing quite wrong but nothing to squeal with delight about. Not that I'd expected that, and we could have gone to Morito if it was what we needed. Quite good to soak up the drink after a hard day's litigating, I expect. I'll come back for a drink and the 'Suits let off the lead' vibe but not the tapas.

    For a restaurant that is this expensive, the service was vey very slow. Also they were out of several items on the menu that we ordered. Just expected a better experience.
