   Service was slow at first but the waiter acknowledged us and was doing her best. It was fine as we were not in a hurry and the food was really good

   Terrible experience. We had a reservation and when arrived we were told the wait would be 45-60 minutes wait. We were offered a table in the bar area. The wait was long for placing order, for receiving food.

   Every single time I have made a reservation here the experience has been great in my case....the food is adequate as best as you can get for a buffet style the service has been great every time we have been here and plan on returning.

   First time there, waitress was really nice and friendly. Food was tasty and fair value. Our section was a bit dark and cold.

   Food was good, not great, but good. Service was also good, we really enjoyed the variety of food available. My only complain is the tortilla maker, or to be more clear the small skillet. The lady was making the tortillas, next time, get a real burner where she could actually make tortillas that cook quickly.

   Reservations were behind for several couples. We watched a few leave out of frustration. Valentines Day is a busy day. Overall for us, not bad.

   Food was good for price and drinks were great. Love their happy hour specials. We actually went for the valentines dinner. 3 course meal for 55 bucks was not bad at all. There was a lot of food for two people, so much, we had extra for breakfast. El Dueno (The Owner) margarita was delicious! The waiter was quick, respectful and attentive. El Torito also has a pretty good happy hour.

   Daisy was a wonderful outstanding waitress. She has served us in a friendly manner and always made sure we were okay. She made my husbands and I first experience the best experience we have ever had at a restaurant.

    Terrible waiter, only cared about large parties. Pretended they didn’t have cranberry juice available, acted like they were out of pancakes even though it’s part of the buffet package. We spend money for what is offered, so bring us what we pay for! It wasn’t the blonde one that’s usually good, it was a black haired lady.

    Short staffed? 20min wait with reservation. Food took very long time to arrive. Waiter never came back to refill waters/drinks.

    Food was really low quality. The nachos were dry and the salmon and veggies were drowned in oil. The steak fajitas were also really dry.

    The sewer and/or plumbing must be broke, because the place smelled like a huge bathroom. The food was awful. Steak in fajitas was over cooked. The sweet corn cake was watery. We didn’t trust the water to drink, because of the assumed sewer or plumbing issue. The servers were good though.

    We traveled 45 min for Xmas brunch and we were greeted by the amazing, Tiffany, who was also our waitress. She gave phenomenal customer service and we appreciated her bubbly, kind personality especially having to be here on Christmas Day. She wished us a Merry Christmas and made us feel right at home. We need more people like her in the food industry. She’s a perfect example of what customer service should be. Thank you so much Tiffany!

    Excellent service from Alexis and Alicia! Busy but really good flavorful food. Chips and salsa served immediately and super fresh. Strong margaritas. Will definitely be back.

    This was the second time we have gone for Thanksgiving. They were constantly waiting for more turkey, and most of my visits to that station there wasn't even anybody there. Found a hair in the husk of my tamale.

    I think Carmen was our waitress. She was excellent! The restaurant was lively & happy & staff was great! Food was outstanding Mexican food! We no longer have an El Torito in Sacramento, but we will return to Stockton! All of our dishes were truly authentic and I am Hispanic. Thank you El Torito!

    The food was good, the price was good, the mimosas were supposed to be bottomless but our waitress cut off the whole table when she got tired of filling our glasses we ended up having to go to the bar.

    We have been coming here for years and we drive over an hour because the Sunday buffet is our favorite. We were there recently and it has gone down hill by a lot! When you first walk in the place smells like sewage. The floors, tables and chairs are all sticky and dirty. They do not have enough servers, we waited for long periods of time to get anything. The food is ok but not as fresh as it used to be. I actually don’t know how the health department hasn’t shut this place down. We will not be coming back here anymore. It used to be very busy on Sundays for brunch but there weren’t many people and now I know why.

    Despite our reservation, we were seated almost an hour later. Lucky there was a bar. Staff was friendly, restaurant was in bad shape they are repairing part of it which is partitioned in plastic. Service is slow and poor, food was ok, not really worth the drive.

    They were not adequately staffed for Father’s Day brunch. We had to keep waving down our waitress for drinks, lines at food stations were way too long since they had 1 server at each long station.

    They ran out of tri-tip and did not have a fajita station (was looking forward to shrimp fajitas) staff was working hard because they were well understaffed which led to long lines and wait times waiting for good food served by friendly staff. Didn’t feel like we got a good value for not having 2 key highlighted items available to enjoy

    Sadly, the moment I stepped into the restaurant it smelled like a sewer. How can you have an appetite when you smell sewer? The women's bathroom was filthy. The stall panels were disgustingly dirty. If that is what the bathroom's look like, what does the kitchen look like! Our waitress, Daisy, was wonderful.

    Their buffet was as good as always but I would much rather serve myself. Less waste & I can control the portions. Didn’t like waiting for the servers to show up at their stations. But all in all a good experience

    Had to ask twice for menus, waitress very slow . Took 15 minutes to get chips and salsa. Food was good but it was lukewarm. Restaurant was not busy. Staff walking around.

    El Torito has certainly gone downhill since the last time I was there Was disappointed because our family was looking forward to the awesome experience we usually have there but not this time Service was good, food only mediocre and they seem to be doing a bldg make over right in the middle of the main room with construction of some sort. Food stations need to be more defined as to their theme Too expensive for what we got!

    The food was okay the service was excellent however the bathrooms are not clean and the doors are open and they smell terrible and I thought it was just from the previous night but it also went into brunch and the the booth that was next to us it was leaking from the ceiling How can any restaurant have good ambience with smelly bathrooms and a leaky ceiling? Honestly I don't believe that those bathrooms were ever cleaned and my sons went to the men's bathroom and they said it was terrible

    Mother’s Day brunch was a mess there were no designated lines for the buffet stations they were short staffed so it made it incredibly difficult to get items in a timely manner it took 40mins to receive scrambled eggs and omelettes to our tables our drink orders were wrong the food was cold overall the whole experience was just sad
