My family and I decided to try Thanksgiving dinner here this year. There are several reasons why I would not come back anymore. To start the food was cold when served it the buffet. I mean all of it was cold, turkey, ham, potatoes everything. The advertising pictures of the food are much better than the actual food there.

We went here for thanksgiving. The buffet was meh. The people working at the buffet were rockstars. We went here to have a nice meal, ended up sitting in the back room next to the parking lot, even though we had reservations. The good thing was the giant bowl of corn cake that you could eat as much as you want! But this was a one and done. Will be back for regular menu but not a buffet.

The turkey was vey dry and I wait because only one person at the station, no omelette station and no banana locas either, no pozole Definitely not worth it Oh, because I was with my daughter and her boyfriend I didn’t mention that was a piece of cardboard in the mash potatoes that was disgusting, means poor hygiene at the kitchen.

The waitress was terrible brought my husband a real soda instead of diet and he is diabetic. He ordered whole beans and got refried beans. Paid the bill and said I needed change and she asked me how much. It was a terrible experience

The female worker reserved my large party in the corner room with a waterfront view.. We were all so appreciative of that! Our male server was also great! He was friendly and patient with us. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The front desk was empty when we arrived. After a wait the indifferent hostess led us to our table. The waiter apologized for the dirty glass and slowed service. The food and service, was good, as usual.

So very very tasty! Waitress was clearly very busy but was very attentive and quick with refills etc. food was delicious!! Considering that you don’t need to eat breakfast or dinner, value was excellent 😆

El Toritio in San Leandro is one of the few (that I know of), around today. I am a fan of the good quality Mexican cuisine that the El Torito Restaurant chain provided and so happy that there is one left in San Leandro. For some years, friends and neighbors had been telling me of the El Torito San Leandro but, I only remembered to visit them a couple of years ago. What a happy surprise. The ambiance and food coupled with the efficient and friendly staff was great. My dining party left happy and satiated . On my recent visit, I was still happy with my dining experience but somewhat disappointed overall. On this occasion, I dined on a Sunday. Unknown to me at the time of making the reservation, the buffet brunch was the only dining choice, with menu service only being available for dinner. While the food was still good quality, the selections weren't what I was seeking. The atmosphere was a bit noisier than I had previously experienced. The wait staff seemed to be streamlined due to the self serve brunch. To their credit, the wait staff, food preparation, and presentation retained their professionalism and friendliness. Overall, I didn't find the brunch to be a good value for the money, given that the buffet options didn't align with what I wanted to eat. All and all, I can say that I do still look forward to dining at El Torito San Leandro during regular menu service. My three star rankings in some areas reflect my brunch dining experience. My overall recommendation still remains high and I do plan to dine with them again.

Poor service. Waiter had a bad attitude. Food arrived out of sequence. The patrons next to us had an unruly child who screamed in my fiance ear. Twice. We left abruptly. We were both so upset.

The food and drink were delicious, as always, and the servers were excellent and cheerfully accommodated a special request. The atmosphere and decor are adorable, but could do with a little updating and the place needs new carpet. Overlooking that, it’s a fun place with beautiful bay views and incredible eats!

The Sunday brunch is always a must. The food is delicious. It comes with bottomless, mimosas. Get yourself a great deal. FYI make sure you don’t leave until you get your waffle with your favorite syrup, topping and ice cream on it. It’s delicious.

We come here coz of the view and steak fajitas. They cook the steak perfect but the rest they’re edible. Tried their mojito flight it’s watered down. Didn’t taste any alcohol at all. Will not get that again and I don’t recommend. The chips are cold and hard. Service it’s always slow but yesterday it was really extra SLOW. I told our server it’s my mom’s bday she didn’t even greet her happy bday. She was so dry and I guess too busy to spend a little time to be friendly. She only checked on us twice. They did the birthday which my mom enjoyed but we didn’t eat the flan coz they only gave us 1 spoon. We asked for extra but server forgot so we just took the flan to go. If you do not mind slow service come here and get table by the window. The view of the bay is incredible.

The first time I have been back to eat here in like 30 something years due to moving out of state. I love that it still looks the same inside and the food is still yummy. I love the Sunday brunch buffet. Thank you for another memory, but now with my husband and grandson.

We used to dine at El Torito often before the pandemic with large parties. This is our first time dining after the pandemic. The food and service quality has gone down unfortunately. Also mentioned that it was my husbands birthday on the reservation, and nothing was said or done.

We wanted to celebrate Father's Day without crowds so I booked a reservation for Monday, the day after Father's Day and it was quiet. We had a reservation for 7 people at 6:30 pm and when we arrived, hubby and I were seated in two tables for 8 with a high chair but we ended up moving to the tables behind us because 1) the shade was broken and the sun was shining in our eyes and 2) the highchair seat buckle was broken so we had to ask for another high chair. Our server was very gracious and helped us move to the tables behind ours and also get a new high chair. The ambience at El Torito is like the old times, a bit weathered and worn and it worked for all of us as it wasn't crowded and noisy. Food was a-ok but it did take awhile for the food to come out so we were eating our complimentary guacamole dip and chips and I had a Mojito. Hubby and I both joined the experience app to get the two guacamole dips.
