Great lunch, we had a great meal and great service. View cannot be beat, saw Marine life and multiple otters and a sea lion

The food was good. Table-side guacamole and chips were very good. The ocean view contributes significantly to the ambience, but the large, open space exposes the diner to the chaos or the other diners, especially the kids, which are encouraged by free food. The sound level is very high, because of the open space and absence of any acoustic treatments.

We had to wait even with a reservation. The receptionist said she had to get our table ready. We were able to get a table with a great ocean view. The food was good but the menu seemed a bit limited on items to choose from. Dessert was great. Both the fried frozen ice cream and the flan were awesome. Parking was good, just don’t forget to get it validated before leaving. I must say it is a loud restaurant because of so many families with kids. Each time I have gone there are unruly kids. So if you have young kids it is a good place and if you are looking for a romantic dinner I would look elsewhere.

Excellent experience, service by Jessica was impeccable and professional, she was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food arrived quickly and was well presented and lovely. My son has a nut allergy that was catered for well, I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to everyone

Slow service due to under staffing. One cheese enchilada barely had cheese. To much salt in rice and vampiros tacos.

Well I don’t understand the reservations part that’s supposed to do so you no need to wait I’m waiting for 40 min I’m just recoment to revalue your plan about the reservación is to much waiting for the reservación and when I’m finally call us the table is not ready so waiting more time

Unfortunately this was a really bad experience. It was clear that the restaurant was understaffed, but they are well aware of the situation and prefer to have dissatisfied customers that will probably never comeback. Some of the bad points: - we got a booth next to a window, unfortunately it included flies dead and alive. Of course no one from the staff had cleaned the that in a while. - my wife had to ask the waiter for a glass of water at least 4 times, until basically she almost went directly to the bar to ask for it. - I ordered the carnitas and it turns out that they were not available in the menu. Ok it happens, however they waited at least 20 minutes or more to tell us that. - we talked some words in Spanish to the waiter and the hostess, which is common in a Mexican restaurant and they basically decided to ignore us. Of course when we started complaining in both Spanish and English they were understanding every single word. - of course we had to wait a lot of time to get our food, on top of all the time lost with the missing item. - same happened when we asked for the check, they were super slow. - we got a Service fee assigned in our check (even that it had been the worst in a long time). Explanation from the waiter was that it was for the wonderful view that we had. - at the end the waiter really believed that we were having a good time, when it was a total disaster. In summary, try to avoid the place. I think you will have better luck in other restaurants in Monterey.

We were told that our open table reservation was a “walk in” and not a “reservation” as it was made same day. Hence, a 45 min wait. This was both the host and the manager, and they blamed Open Table app
