Really slow to get our order then the rest went very well.
Nice views. Tasted as expected. Always happy with the cilantro dressing on the salad.
We made reservations since there was 9 of us. The service was great. Brought out chips, water right away.
we had a large party of 12 which we had made previous reservations for, everything was ready for us and we were seated quickly.
Geraldo was our server and he was excellent!!
Brunch. Unfortunately, like all restaurants, El Torito seem s to be short staffed, I like tortillas and hot food. I was perplexed why pancakes were brought to my table before champagne. Like, who ordered pancakes? It was a El Torito touch.
I’m of Mexican descent and find it absolutely annoying that I have to get food wait for the warming of tortillas, just to get back to seat with tepid food.
The menudo was tepid because the lid was left off.
The taco station had pots resting on brick. Try warmers.
The layout is such, you have wait and kitchen staff rushing by while your elderly self is trying to balance food and stairs.
Bring me tortillas in a warmer, skip the pancakes.
Celebrating 16 year anniversary
Delicious food & amazing service!
Always a good time
El Torito's 67th anniversary, and quite the fiesta it was. Free Taco Bar, Happy Hour everything, and an excellent Mariachi Band to boot! Great staff and smiles on everyone's faces, plus engaging and attentive management made this a really fun outing for us at the Dana Point Marina. I topped it off with a sweet tip for everyone... Another great time at El Torito!
Service was very quick and very good. Our waiter checked back with us often and made several recommendations.
We had a window seat overlooking the marina so it was a very nice view.
The food came out to the table very quick and it was cooked perfectly.
Although it is a chain restaurant the food is good, and the portions were large, do I would eat here again if we were back in the area.
The service was excellent! The food is great and the the Sunday buffet is well priced!
Overall was good but overpriced because we had to pay $26 for breakfast for a 2year old who basically did not eat anything except drank orange juice
I ordered enchiladas Ranchero with no meat but the enchilada had chicken in it. The bartender did not blend a good margarita. Everyone at the table had to return their drinks.
Although, the server and the bartender were very friendly, there was a language barrier. Because of that, our experience was subpar.
Always a great time at this El torito location. Love coming for their Sunday brunch.
Great food & service.
Our waiter was great friendly fast and funny. Can not remember his name.
The happy hour prices were great and the margaritas were very good. The food was bland and had no taste. Service was slow.
$31 for Sunday brunch at El Torito is highway robbery. Food is slightly better than average. But the place is old and dirty. The carpets must be 30 years old and are disgusting. Coffee was burnt and horrible. Great view of the ocean but the interior is so bad you'd want to leave as soon as possible.
Great food as usual..You can always count on El Torito to come thru with the best food and drink!!
Good food, on the harbor. Enjoyed the evening with our friend.
View was nice and great service! They definitely need to do a remodel! The carpet was disgusting, very dirty!
Great food as always. Harbor view. Our server Adam was great.
Great server. It was warm in restaurant but overall a nice evening
Definitely go for the table side guac! Staff was awesome :)
Birthday party for my 60 year old son. Made reservations for 6, & 9 showed up. They quickly made accommodations for 9. Everyone loved the food!
More staff was needed for a Saturday night.
The food was just, ok.
I would not eat there again.
Being on the bay, we thought it would be more high quality.
The fahitah lack a lot of peppers and too much rice
Celebrating my moms 76th birthday with her friends, several which are in walkers. There is no handicap access ramp in the restaurant. 3 hostesses standing around doing nothing just watching me trying to help my mom and her friends up and down the stairs, I’m carrying their walkers up and downs stairs then helping each one climb the stairs. No one offered to help.
There was no toilet paper in women’s bathroom, I had to tell the hostess to come check the bathrooms.
The windows in the booth we sat in were all full of kids finger prints.
The place could use some cleaning and replacing soMe of the worn carpet.
The waiter was amazing, he made the celebration extra special.
We were seated immediately and the service was very good. Food came quickly and was very flavorful.
Nice view of the harbor. The fajitas were good. The service was also good. The prices are reasonable and there was no wait on a Saturday night. We will be back.
The ambience is great! We had sits by the window where you can see the ocean. The service was great and the food was good.
It was a nice place, the buffet attendants were very good but could understand server behind the mask. Food was just so so but it was edible enough. Not having g the omelets or eggs was a challenge for my daughter. The server was very slow in getting that taken care of.
Overall we had a good time.
The old El Torito was a different restaurant, what happened? They still claim to be excellent but what a nightmare. Restaurant looks worn and dirty, food was un-edible. Find another place to eat.
Felt like they didn't have enough staff.

We love to come here for brunch. The buffet was good with lots to choose from. The desserts were wonderful too. Our waiter was very attentive and provided great service. Plus the view out the window is beautiful.
Great view of the harbor! Staff was great. Food is pretty good and it is a great location.
The food was good and so was our server. I'd requested a table by the window with a view and that's exactly what we got! It was a bit loud in there at first, but the other diners all seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. Would definitely go back again.
Came in for the $5 Cadillac margaritas and you get what you pay foe. It wasn’t even a Cadillac. It was house tequila with something that didn’t even look or taste like grand marnier. Later on got sick from this and food didn’t taste good either.
The food was good, but for my taste it was not spicy enough, but too salty. I had the fajitas and the presentation was very good, but not very impressed with the actual taste of it all, expecially the meat ( tough, very little flavor). My wife had the chicken enchiladas which were above average in flavor.
Considering that they were short-staffed, the service was very good, and we had a window seat for a good view of the fireworks.
Overall, a good dining experience, just not excellent.
We had reservations and asked for a window seat. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated while the hostesses seated walk-ins ahead of us and filled all of the window seats. We were seated at a table with a view of the parking lot. It took our waiter a long time to get to us andthen our food arrived barely warm. He forgot to bring us the things we asked for, we had to hunt him down to get a napkin and refills on our drinks, and, we had to hunt him down to get our check and flag him down to pay. Needless to say we missed most of the fireworks show because of it. The staff seemed disorganized and unable to keep up with flow of things.
