El Dorado Cantina - Tivoli Village
I took my wife to El Dorado cantina for her birthday. The food was delicious. The server was excellent. The manager came over to make sure the speaker for the live entertainer wasn’t too close to our table. He moved it to a distance were things wouldn’t be too loud for us. It was an amazing experience overall, and we will definitely be visiting this location several more times.
Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Other than that it was really good. Food was exceptional for everyone. Bar service needs to kick it up however. Not the servers fault.
We sat in the “annex” which was weird. Would have preferred to be in main dining or outside.
Definitely would go back!
Dave at the bar was fantastic!
The food was great and the ambiance very energetic.
We loved our experience, our food, and our waiter Mike from Hawaii!! Can’t say enough about our evening at the restaurant. We were visiting LasVegas from out of town and will be sure to go back next time we are there!! Awesome!!!
El Dorado Cantina is by far the best Mexican cuisine I have ever had. Every dish we had was ridiculously delicious. The service was top notch as well. The ambiance was great as well. Would highly recommend your next date night be here. Get he lobster fajita! You will not be disappointed.
The food was outstanding but the service wasn’t that great. Had to wait quite a while even with a reservation. Took forever to get a drink and then felt rushed.
Waiter brought incomplete order, and even that was not what we ordered. He acknowledged mistake. Even paying took two tries as bill was returned to table once without our card being run. Probably just a poor waiter on a bad night. Still.......
They accommodated our large group outside and were wonderfully attentive. Great food and atmosphere.
The music was so loud. zThe servers forgot to bring me chips and salsa. It was not the best evening I've spent dinging out.
The dinner started out great with tableside guacamole and chips. The queso, though, was hard and gooey instead of creamy. The biggest disappointment was the carne asada which was recommended by our waiter that was tough as shoe leather. My friends raved about this place but unfortunately the food did not live up.
great n cool place Food was close to authentic, service was excellent
Poor service. Had dinner reservations for 3 people at 4pm on a Saturday. Our server was hardly attentive and ready to leave. We saw our original server twice, one time to order and one time to drop off cocktails and one glass of water with no refills/service thereafter. We didn't even know she went home until a different server wanted to clear the table.
We had made reservations and it still took 30 minutes for us to be seated. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and several tables were left with dirty dishes waiting to be bussed. The hostesses were trying to help out with clearing tables but it was obvious they hadn’t been trained on properly cleaning the tables. An important thing during a pandemic.
Food and drinks were excellent. Probably a little expensive for lunch as two burritos, table side guacamole and two drinks was $100.
The enchilada dinner had generous amounts of meat. Salsa and service were very good, The rice that comes with the meal has cilantro in it, but they also have white and brown rice without cilantro as options. We sat outside, in front, with a view of the activity in the shopping areas. Tables were spaced, and it was quiet, even with most of the outdoor tables full. We enjoyed our lunch there and will be back.
Very overpriced for mediocre food. Very expensive margarita that was 80% ice. However, decor and service fully on point. Extremely loud reggaeton music much more suited to a club than a pleasurable dining experience.
FOOD EXCELLENT! STAFF VERY ATTENTIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE! DECOR WAS VERY NICE! THE ONLY NEGATIVE WAS THE MUSIC WAS TOO LOUD TO HAVE A COMFORTABLE CONVERSATION WITH THOSE IN YOUR PARTY!
Everything was great after we finally got seated. We showed up a little before our reservation thinking we could sit down and have a cocktail but that didn’t happen. There were a lot of people waiting to be seated when we arrived after everyone got seated we were finally the last group to get seated 15 minutes after our reservation and we had to inquire 3 times with the host. Almost left!!!
Great time. Manager made the experience!
First time dining there, and as for food, it was delicious, especially that tableside guacamole made by Fernando.
On the other hand, our server Ashley gave us the worst service and barely paid attention to our table, first of all did not bring any chips and salsa, actually Fernando, when making our guacamole did that for us...Fernando gave us amazing treatment but our server Ashley pretty much neglected us, as I noticed she was paying all her attention to other nearby tables and ignoring us...I tried to make eye contact with her many times and even tho she noticed she kept walking, very rude in my opinion...at the end we decided to tip Fernando separately since he was very good with us, but for Ashley we didn’t feel she deserved a penny...and normally even if service is not that great we like to tip what’s fair but in this instance we felt offended by her lack of interest.
Overall, the food was great, and once more thanks to Fernando for being so good at his job.
Excellent service, very friendly and attentive server. Food was delicious, presentation amazing. Atmosphere beautiful, very fun place
I had a 630 reservation as soon as they called my name they put us outside I requested inside and they told me I had to wait another 10 minutes so I just went ahead and took the table outside then I ordered enchiladas with red sauce they brought me green sauce and then ordered tacos and the beef was over cooked so not a fan of the food but the ambience is beautiful
Ummmm i think that In trying to present a level of authenticity and freshness they sorta kinda missed the mark is the food fresh and well prepared yes is it missing some salt , sazon, some real Mexican flavor yes ,the $5 Margarita is a good bang for your buck but listen they could’ve kept that extra shot or two of Cuervo 😬
This was my first visit to the Tivoli location. The ambiance was wonderful, food still amazing, but compared to the strip location, the service was horrible. Our waiter never came back to our table, until I had to flag him down. We informed him we never received our margaritas, and by this time we had finished our meal. I was also disappointed we were not offered the Monday locals discount as the strip location does. From now on I’ll stick to the strip location because the chef there is top notch and the service is superb. I’m sure some of the wait staff at Tivoli are excellent, but our waiter needed some help. Idk maybe he was new, I always like to give the benefit of the doubt. All in all still the best Mexican food in town!!!
This is such a great restaurant. The setting of Tivoli and the decor really do make it an outstanding experience. I love the fact that they offer so much for vegans. It is not always easy to find things to eat. Overall this is an excellent restaurant. However, this second visit was not as good as our first. The service was sub-par at best. We were seated 20 minuites after our reservation and we arrived 10 minutes early. Our waitress hardly visited our table and we needed drink refills and other things from her. It is a shame that this was such a disapointing experience as we brought our friends here to show them this cool restaurant we discovered on our own. Will we be back? Yes. Will we recommend it to others...I don't think so.
The staff was very accommodating in serving us at a table on the patio some distance from the rest of their guests who were pretty packed into the area that is their usual serving area. My husband's posole was excellent, and my cheese enchiladas were fiery but tasted very good. We also had their tasty Mexican corn which turned out to be quite a large serving of it. Inside, the restaurant was packed and very noisy. It was fun to people watch in Tivoli which no longer has valet parking, but there is ample, easily accessed parking in their garage.
It was my grandson’s Birthday and he loved it! We would definitely recommend El Dorado Cantina to everyone. The food and service was excellent. 🥰
Service was ok. Personally, I thought the food was a little over-priced. Seated outdoor, which was nice.
Great place anytime of the day since they are open 24 hours. Delicious Mexican food & great ambiance. My only criticism is that the chips were a bit hard but the two salsas that came with them were very good. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Chips were cold, and carnitas were on the dry side. The jalapeño margarita made up for it though.
We had a great lunch. We ordered table side guacamole and margaritas, plus we split a 3 street taco plate. We were celebrating my friends bday, and received a free flan desert with candle (which was excellent and unexpected. It’s a festive place fir a special occasion, but way expensive for a regular lunch lunch. Our bill was $100
Best Mexican food we have had. Outstanding service. Definitely coming back on our next Vegas trip
Super great vibes. Cool diffantly a young crowd.
Great food & great service always.
Very delicious selections of light and heavy meals. Great place for a date, a girls dining out meet up, & definitely an awesome happy hour hangout. Great plates for happy hour as well.
Outstanding! Get the shrimp enchiladas!!!
Little pricey. Little noisy. Great service. Enjoy the Sunday afternoon lunch
I have patronized this restaurant on several occasions. Great food and atmosphere!
Food and service was really good. The table side guacamole was pretty cool and the restaurant/Tivoli Village is super cute.
