   I wanted to like this place. I read a lot of good reviews but I was disappointed. The service was great. The margaritas were great. The food was just ok. The queso, tacos, and enchiladas were ok but lackluster. I was expecting something to stand out. The best part of the meal were the elote and the plantains. When a place trys to make Tex-Mex fancier, I expect more.

   It was good except the wiater kept ignoring me. Also everyone got charged 1.5% for a wellness charge which is like kind of ridiculous. The menu says that they do this, but in tiny font… also like where is that money even going? So weird to me.

   It was busy for cinco de mayo and we were a large party (8). They did great! everything tasted absolutely delicious and was very timely. Only complaint was how loud it was being so full and I struggled to hear the waiter describe desserts etc.

   I love coming to this place because it’s consistently great! The food is amazing and everyone can find something they like. I love the pato tacos! It is a great portion size for the price as well. The service is great and was excellent this time I was here. The server was always checking in on us and going out of his way to create a great experience for my friends and I. We were a party of 6 and all my friends were pleased with the restaurant and the service! This is always a go to place for me and I love that I can consistently have a great experience each time I am here! I highly recommend this spot for everyone!

   From making the reservation for a large party (12) to final payment, El Alma exceeded expectations. Unique, delicious menus choices from Appetizers, Main Items, Cocktails, Sides and Desserts….ALL, were outstanding. Service with a smile, efficient and attentive. A plus!

   Always love going to El Alma South. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The food tastes like authentic Mexican with special flavors.

    Fantastic food. Love the Tomatillo salsa. Mexican coffee is a must at brunch.
