   An overall fantastic experience offering a true taste of Scandinavia. Fire, smoke, game, and forest fruits come together in delicious combinations, brought to London by the extraordinary team at the Yard (Ekstedt). Niklas’s innovative and robust cooking style evokes a warm, pleasant feeling, transporting you back to Viking times as the food is prepared and cooked over a wood stove and open fire. The atmosphere was friendly, and the service impeccable. We will return in the not-too-distant future.

   We'd been looking forward to visiting Ekstedt at The Yard and were not disappointed as both food and service were exceptional. From the snack appetisers to the petits fours, every course was beautifully presented and the flavours enhanced by various aromas inclusing pine and smoke. The highlight was being invited to the kitchen to watch our oysters being prepared over the hot coals, which we then ate there by the heat of the fire! All in all a fantastic experience and we hope to come again soon.

   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ekstedt at the Yard, and I can't stop raving about the experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with friendly staff ready to welcome us. We went for the 7 course menu "Immersive journey to Scandinavia" each dish was beautifully presented and and we really enjoyed them all, and the desserts was the perfect ending! What really stood out, however, was the attentive service. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Ekstedt at the Yard a try. Can't wait to return!

   Disappointed they had no Guinea Fowl! My partner does not eat red meat, so wasn’t much of a choice for her, so was unable to have a main course. A restaurant of this status should ensure they have enough to serve all customers. That being said the starters and wine was excellent.

   Inventive & unique menu, expertly presented & served with impressive attention to detail. Having also been to the original Stockholm restaurant, it's nice to have one on our doorstep - we will return!

   A beautiful meal at Ekstedt. The food and the service were outstanding. We had the Immersive Journey. The trip into the kitchen to watch and eat the oyster flambadou was interesting and fun. An interesting and well renovated hotel in a very prestigious location. Funny that they only have a Swedish restaurant with tasting menus in the hotel but it’s an interesting experience to visit.

   We had a lovely experience at the Chef’s Table at Ekstedt. The Negronis were lovely and the wine pairing was excellent along with the food and service. We will certainly return!

    Amazing food, kitchen experience part of a chefs table tasting menu. Enjoyable interaction with the chefs and restaurant staff add a fun in a space where everything is cooked on live fire. On the chefs table, you get up close. Must try to return.
