EJ's Provision Co
Terrific food, especially the out of this world crab cakes. Definitely a hidden gem.
They don’t have access to a computer or internet to see open table reservations. But overall was good.
great service from Carrisa and loved crabcake and my lady loved cobb salad and soup crean of crab
Delicious food and great service! Will definitely be going back.
We had a very strange experience. We walked in on a Friday night, there were very few people dining and many open tables. The hostess looked worried and told us she would look for a waiter that wasn't busy. We waited and she returned asking us to wait until she could find a waiter. She stood at the hostess stand not doing anything while we waited. We walked out. The hostess seemed relieved and told us to have a nice night. Very strange.
A little expensive but excellent food, atmosphere and wonderful staff. Would go back in a minute.
Great casual meal - definitely worth the trip and absolutely will be returning. Crab cake was terrific - up to standards of a native Marylander- jumbo lump, very lightly held together; fish for my husband was well-prepared and had FRESH steamed vegetables on the side. Old Bay chips were a nice touch on the table. Place is next to a doubletree hotel right off of 95; sadly, hardly anyone in the restaurant on a Saturday night; a few folks in the bar. Service was friendly, informed, and efficient. Surely hope more folks find this place - it’s a new area gem for us.
Good food and friendly service
Great place to eat, everything was very fresh. Staff and Manager was the best!
Making a reservation was easy, they had plenty of tables available. Unfortunately, they had no wait staff... There were two waiters for the entire restaurant... Took forever to get drink orders, then took forever to get appetizers, then took even longer for the entrees... While the waiters did their best, it was quite obvious that they were overworked, and management should have done a hell of a lot better job and getting help in.. as for myself, I will not return, as there are better restaurants that have as good if not better food, and do not have the service issues that I encountered here
Went for Fathers day. It was almost a Ghost town! Only one other table and one waitress who was super friendly but had to put up with a slow kitchen. The food took over a hour to come out!
We really enjoyed the food very much!
We might go back...haven't decided yet
to be honest...
Our meals were probably the best we have had in a very long time. Best cream of crab EVER!! Perfectly seasoned. My seafood basket was so delicious and so was the rockfish dinner. We will be back!!
Was disappointed. limited menu. Raw Oysters were great though
Food was excellent. You can tell it was cooked very fresh. The wait for the food was a little long, but that’s easy to get over once you taste the food. Our server didn’t really check on us much (took a loooong time to get a refill for our drinks) but other than that my family and I had a pleasant dining experience. Will definitely be coming back.
The food selection was limited, over priced for the selection provided
My second visit, on this occasion I took advantage of the Sunday Brunch which was excellent. My guest and I serve on our HOA board of directors, a venue that my fellow member would throughly enjoy, looking forward to arranging a visit with them. Thank you.!!
My husband got the crab cake platter, he enjoyed it. The place was really empty on a Friday night which was surprising. They have a raw bar, which seemed to be well stocked, but we did not try it. The MD crab soup had potatoes in it, and I felt the flavor was affected because of that despite the extra old bay.
The waiter was friendly but a bit distracted even though not many folks were there; the manager did stop by and speak briefly with several diners including us once the food came.
They had a sign that they also have a brunch on the weekend for 30+ dollars/person and that seemed a bit pricey but might be good if the variety was there. All in all, it was just okay.
Went for brunch. It was good, hot and nice variety. The crab eggs Benedict and French toast were especially good. Would have like some fruit options though.
The food was plentiful the Chesapeake crab cake was delicious
2nd time. Excellent crab Cobb salad and oysters
We had the peel and eat shrimp in bay seasoning, best I’ve had in a long time. Being attached to the hotel was a plus since we were stuck in the nor’easter.
This is a very casual place and we sat in the bar area. It was not very crowded and the noise level was fine, but it was a little bright for dinner. The service was good. We were greeted upon arrival and as we left a young man rushed to open the door and say goodbye. The manager also came by to see how dinner was. All the food was very good. We had the cream of crab soup - nice flavor with lump crab meat, crab cakes - quite large and filled with lump crab meat and the crab/artichoke dip. The sides - salad, mac&cheese and coleslaw were all fine, but the seafood was the star. The server also brought a basket of old bay chips to start. Overall, a solid seafood restaurant. Much better than the recent predecessors at this location. Will return.
We tried EJ’s for the 1st time Saturday. It’s only 10 minutes from where we live in Columbia and we loved the menu online especially the oysters. We loved our experience!!! The oysters (and oyster shooters) were great. My crab cakes were wonderful as was my wife’s rockfish. The drinks from the bar were outstanding. The basket of chips was a very nice touch. The service was very pleasant and extremely courteous. We will definitely be back and have already told our friends.
Great service and great food! This will become a regular for us!
Crab cakes were fantastic! As was the mac and cheese side.
Service great and prices were reasonable.
Unexpected for a restaurant attached to a hotel.
Best crab cake in Maryland area! Excellent customer/bar service. Greeted by owner! Reasonable prices.
Tried it out because they had seating available (and a fair amount of it) on Valentine’s Day, but food reviews were pretty good online.
Surprised to find the restaurant attached to the Doubletree, but ambience felt like nice stand alone restaurant once inside. Very casual.
Food took a while to come out, but when it did we enjoyed it. Our server was helpful and frequent. Manager came by twice.
Crab cakes were great, as were all the sides. The old bay chips that came out with the drinks were awesome. Next time we’ll go for the oysters, which were on display on ice at the entrance.
Much better experience for us than the sparse crowd would have suggested.
This is a nice, out of the way seafood restaurant next to the Doubletree that is, according to our server, under relatively new management. They have a nice selection of fresh oysters available when you walk in, which is a nice touch. They were fresh and delicious, and served with your choice of 3 dipping sauces (highly recommend the honey mustard horseradish...I wanted to buy a jar!). I ordered the crab imperial, which was served with fresh bread and was sublime (lots of beautiful crab and a nice brown top). Hubby ordered the Rockfish with lump crab, and he really enjoyed it as well. We both had fresh side salads. The fries were good, and the Mac and Cheese was heavenly. Our server was nice, though not as informed as she could have been about the dishes (she was unable to answer basic questions about some of the items, and didn't offer to find out, so we didn't press and skipped dessert). My husband's Martinis were a bit off; either the requested vodka wasn't used (as I suspect), or the Vermouth was unusual (not bad, just odd, but for $11.25 each I would've expected them to be correct). The atmosphere is casual but nice, and very clean. It could be a better date spot if a bit less bright at the tables and with less obtrusive music in the dining room, but we enjoyed our dinner. The manager stopped by and chatted a bit about our food, which was a nice touch. Prices were a bit high for the area in some cases (the drinks), but not bad for fresh seafood with lots of beautiful crab and complimentary Old Bay flavored homemade chips. Our tab was right around $100 with tip), which was fair (our entrees were about $26 each). We got there before 7 pm, so the lovely oysters were only $1 each, which was a steal! Bonus: ladies room was spotless and well-stocked, which is usually indicative to me of management who cares about cleanliness. Definitely recommend and will return!
Did not live up to Open Table ratings in any way. The only notable things we ate were oyster Rockefeller and salads. Hush puppies aweful. Fish ok at best. Won't return.
staff was great. crab cakes are good-like in top 5 ive ever had, a bit runny, not bad though. the gm is really nice and spoke with us several times during our meal. great ambience, quiet. all seafood from the bay, so always fresh.
nice place, good food, very quiet although there were people in the restaurant. i'm hoping more people find out about it. The chef came out and chatted with us. Wait staff was polite and always checked in with us. Crab cakes were awesome and portions were a good size. we'll be back!
The flounder was over cooked and bland. The hush puppies were fair.
Noise level in the bar is high
Food is pretty good but the need to work on the fries and make them crispier.
So glad to have found this. Delicious shrimp and fish. Will try the crab cakes next time. Friendly staff.
We started with cream of crab soup which was delicious, full of crab and great old bay flavor. The mix it up platter had everything a seafood lover could ask for; fresh flounder, shrimp, oysters, fries & hushpuppies.
The crab cakes are AMAZING!!!
All Jumbo Lump Crab Meat.
When the host seated us we were told that they are starting a Sunday Brunch on the 1st Sunday of every month.
Can't wait for our next visit so I can try another dish. I was told that the fried chicken is the best.
Awesome all around
The crab cakes are absolutely delicious! You have to try the oysters from the raw bar with great happy hour specials. Service is great and love the decor and ambiance. Going to come back on November 5th to try out the brunch!
Not only do they have the best crab cakes in the area the burgers are awesome too! Cold beer and burger after a long day at work...theres nothing better. I had the Fish and Chips and its way better than the standard"triangle cut, pre breaded things" you would expect. Fresh Flounder with a couple of hush puppies that had a little bite to them. Will go there again! The oysters are fresh, never frozen and are also the best in the area. Very much worth the trip!
