About this restaurant

  • Great for scenic views
  • Good for special occasions
  • Innovative
With access to panoramic views of Pendle Hill, and a range of seasonal menus, created and tailored by our Chef Patron, Doug Crampton, Eight at Gazegill is the epitome of a 'farm-to-fork' restaurant, being owned by and located directly on a working organic farm, Gazegill Organics, in the Ribble Valley.

Showcasing the best of the produce from the farm, which includes organic slow-reared pork and raw milk, and utilising the seasonal bounty that can be found in the surrounding hedgerows and countryside, Eight at Gazegill reconnects guests to nature through the food.

Our Brunch, All-Day and Sunday Lunch menus are suitable for all, while our Friday and Saturday evening Tasting Menu offers a more grown up experience. We also have specifically designed menus which are suitable to be eaten on our outside terrace area where the addition of a large purpose-built playground makes this the perfect location for families to enjoy the sunshine.

What a gem of a find. We had a fabulous evening - had the tasting menu and it was all truely delicious. Thank you 😊 All of the staff were very welcoming and so well-trained - knowledgeable - which was appreciated. We’ll definitely return and have already recommended it to friends.

First time here and it was an overall lovely experience. The food and ambiance were excellent. We found the menu a little confusing to begin with but it was explained very well by the staff. My advice is take a choice from all three sections, Snacks, Small plates and large plates then don’t forget one of the exquisite desserts.

Lovely modern interior, with tables not too close together. The food was excellent, delicious and beautifully presented. Good service, but not intrusive. Throughly enjoyed lunch there.

We were gifted a visit to sample the tasting menu by one of our Son’s. The restaurant is a Field to Fork experience The venue is outstanding with , with rural lovely views , the ambience in the restaurant perfect, even the music, both volume and playlist was to my taste. The front of house Manager was friendly , informative, courteous and knowledgable , she escorted us to our table and offered to change the seating setting, should we wish. Each dish arrived and was placed perfectly by the waiter , they described the ingredients of each plate , were friendly , smart and attentive during the whole evening . The food was all delicious, inventive and original , seasonal and inspired , each ingredient complimenting the dish, fresh and appetising. The tasting portions were generous , fresh and each superbly cooked and so different to many ,other menu’s using as they do foraged and locally sourced food and herbs. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant. Compliments to the Chef and his team . We will certainly be back.

Unfortunately we came away a little disappointed, we’ve been looking forward to coming for a while now and whilst everything was okay I was expecting more. The sausage and bread I didn’t get really and felt it was a little awkward to eat, the sausages were also quite dry? Flavour was nice. Celeriac soup was fab! The best course of the day. Sunday dinner, whilst the meat was nice, the potatoes were lacking a crispy outer bite, veg was underwhelming with the exception of the carrot which was the tastiest part of the plate. Desert seemed like it had been invented on the day and wasn’t what was on the online menu. Essentially it was a cookie a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a few strawberries, Quite forgettable to be honest. Lovely venue and I thought that the drinks were quite reasonably priced. The toilets weren’t that clean and little bit smelly which surprised me and whilst it wouldn’t put me off returning it kind of summed up our visit.
