Edendale is a full-service restaurant, bar and event space offering primarily American cuisine. Chef Paul Downer created a menu that focuses on comfort food from various regions of the United States including California, New England and the South. Edendale is constructed in what was originally Los Angelos Fire Station 26 all the way back in 1924. Many silent film studios were housed nearby during that time, and it has several photographs on the wall commemorating that period of American cinema. The menu has a little bit for everybody depending on your preference. Edendale's specials include a braised oxtail, roasted tomato linguine and Patagonia toothfish to name a few. The bar has a wide selection of craft beer, premium spirits and fine wines for diners to pair with their meal. Visit on the weekends for a brunch menu with plenty of specials on mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Comfortable interior. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. As for the restaurant itself, it could use a through cleaning, e.g., our table had specks of dried foot on it (as did a few others around us), had to return a dirty fork for a clean(ner) one, and the upholstery had some spots of dried stuff (hopefully it was food, not that that makes it any better) on it. Food was so so. My Bloody Mary was delicious.

Not only was the service wonderful but the food was delicious. I celebrated my bday there for Sunday brunch. For a party of 15 everyone was satisfied with their dish. I had the shrimp and grits which was flavorful. Other people go the chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwich and a fancy salad. The plated presentation was also nice. Def going again, I want to try their dinner next time.

The food was innovative, delicious and fresh. The salmon with lemongrass was refreshing and perfectly prepared - tender and zesty. We also enjoyed the tilapia ceviche, and the old vine zin was so fruity and well-balanced.

The bar is the best thing about the place. Food is much improved over earlier days. But watch your step - dark and dangerous.

the staff is attentive and the food is amazing- loved it the second we walked in...from the decor to the overall vibe. hip spot, great food, cool vibe and fun staff!

Great spot for late night dining with a cool and easy two outside patios to choose from. A staple in the Silverlake and Los Feliz neighborhoods.

Located in an historical re-purposed firehouse in a difficult to find Silverlake/EchoPark location (my date got lost, stopped at a police station, and got wrong directions to the address), the food is quite good, especially for the price. Lovely outdoor area, inside rambles, several rooms. Inside, the music and noise in general was too loud (but, I am 65), but outside was great. Service was enthusiastic and efficient. The beet salad was terrific and the pork chop was quite good. I did not have desert. The wine list is shockingly affordable (I pay more for bottles of wine at discount than the most expensive bottle I saw on the menu).

The food was very delicious. There were four of us so we each had something different and everything was good. The wine list is very different and we were very happy with the bottle we chose. Beautiful setting on a busy street. Sat outside and it was lovely. Valet parking is $5.50 but very easy that way. It was truly a wonderful evening.

Turning a former firehouse into a beautiful restaurant is an excellent example of adaptive reuse. A very "green" concept. The food was great. I recommend the stonefruit and serrano ham salad. Our server, Jaqueline really made our experience wonderful. She was funny and entertaining and kept a smile on our faces. She was also efficient and did her job well.
